1:42 Honestly my favourite part of that moment is that Every. Single. Sith. Felt the need to do a cool pose or motion when they ignited the saber, no two of which are exactly alike. one goes for the dramatic "turn to face the camera", one goes for the big "flash it past my face as it turns on", one goes for the "straight into a combat stance" while another does the "already IN a stance, and remain still while igniting", the two on the wings, (Who clearly know the value of symmetry) both do the "ignite while crouched and rise in unison." And the best of all, that one Sith Trooper on the left hand side just standing there looking around like "Soooo did you guys rehearse this as a group, or individually in front of your bedroom mirrors?" Honestly Sith will always beat Jedi by sheer force of "Extra". Ironic they're on the Darkside when they live for the spotlight.

These are not trailers, they're full blown star wars short movies.

Gives me chills every time, to watch Malgus walk away from the ruined temple while putting up his hood.

Man those trailers will not get old anytime soon. If only Bioware could make a movie series like this about events in SWTOR ..... one can dream.

I only just realized Malgus is actually talking to him at 3:01 and not just a voice over. Damn that's cool.

Beauuuttiful. So crisp!

here is what I truly love about these. break down the way they are fighting. they aren't doing like what they are doing in the movies and aim for the lightsabers. they actually aim for body parts, requiring them to either dodge or block the strike. THAT is what I love. they are actually fighting the way you realistically fight, which is you aim for the goddamn body, not the weapon.

It's some kind of astonishing that this old 4 to 5 minute trailers show us a clearer and more concludend storyline than the Sequel-Trilogy.

I swear, seeing Coruscant & the Prequel Era Jedi Temple, normally so peaceful & symbolic of the Order, being consumed by fire & destruction at the hands of the Sith/Imperial Navy, it’s just mesmerizing simply by witnessing it. Like we never thought such a scene could be possible, even with Revenge of the Sith & 2003’s “Star Wars: Clone Wars” series bringing war to the planet, yet here it is in full glory. Hell of a first impression by the old Swtor team back then.

Still literally one of the best pieces of Star Wars content ever created! SWTOR has been such an important part of my teenage years and now it's 10 years old. Can't wait for the new expansion!

The difference between the elegant movements of the Jedi and the shear force of the sith is so cool to watch. You don’t really see this much of a difference in technique in the movies

2:01 that music when Grievous and Kenobi are going down the hill on Utapau in ROTS will always be one of my favorite SW tracks. It's just so star wars, the trumpets, wind instruments,etc. Even if it's only like 15 seconds lol

In my opinion swtor has to be included in the best Star Wars games of all time it captures what I love about the series better than any other Star Wars game since kotor 1 & 2

I love how dedicated the animation team were for these trailers because the animation for 2010 is beyond outstanding for its time.

I remember when I first saw this trailer, I thought Malgus was Darth Vader, that thought started a journey I’ve been on since the game was announced. It’s near and dear to my heart and has given me so many memories, me worries for the expansion aside, I’m happy to be a part of this community and I hope that I still have many more memories to experience with the game moving forward. Thank you community and dev team members both past and present.

10 years. Wow. Time sure does fly. I remember being in one of SWTOR's beta weekends before launch and playing for probably 20 hours in those couple days. I got to Taris and that was back when leveling was way slower.

If anybody still reads books, there’s a book titled Deceived that has been published about this very cinematic the events before and after. The details were so good it made me rewatch this before finishing it.

I remember watching this for the very first time *10 Years ago* and being unable to control my emotions. And now a *decade* later, I still play this game.

Reminds me of the old Star Wars. When Lightsaber combat was an art and when Jedi and Sith were super soldiers with a sword and cool powers. Great work.

I wish the people behind these trailers would make a movie. I'd pay to see that.

This definitely makes me feel nostalgic. I wish we could cycle through and choose from previous load screens and intro music. I'd love to use the original load screen and music occasionally.

1:12 I love that, while all the other Jedi ignite their lightsabers, ready for a fight, Ven approaches Malgus somewhat calmly. Granted, he has the Order behind him, but part of me wants to imagine he didn’t even want to fight at first. Not to say he wanted to discuss peace, I doubt it. But from his perspective, Darth Malgus just showed up on Coruscant with a singular Imperial Agent alongside him, and is now facing down the entire Jedi Order. I think the first thing he wanted to do was ask his old enemy what the hell his plan even was.

i didnt notice it until now but at 2:05 the sith that kicked the dude also did a surprise thrust on his landing. pretty cool

All these years later, and these trailers are still possibly my favorite depictions of Star Wars to ever come out.

I just don't understand how it isn't clear enough too see that this is the way to go. Hire Blur studios to make a movie! and it's 2023! and this trailer was made like 12 years ago, ABSURD! to be honest it's almost like I don't want disney to touch this masterpiece.

Even after more than a decade since its release, this is still my #1 favorite out of all the SWTOR cinematic trailers.

Growing up, I watched my mom play Star Wars Galaxies, around when I was 10 or 11, SWTOR released, and I remember watching all the trailers, cinematic and gameplay, with her. She was hardcore into these games and even participated in the big faction wars on Galaxies. I was too young at the time to be captivated by MMO's because they weren't immediate into action types of games, but I slowly grew to love them, and now I play only SWTOR, and it will probably be what I play till the game officially dies. Either because of player count or the servers shutting down. Seeing these trailers reuploaded, brought me to tears because I remember watching them with my mom, both of us on our feet, excited about what would happen next, seeing a world of sith and jedi like never before. Thank you Bioware/EA, EA specifically has done a lot of things wrong with other games, but yall outdid yourselves on SWTOR. PS... LightSide Sith Warrior is the best story line, can't change my mind.

its fun watching these trailers after you played the game because you notice much more characters and actually know who they are, for example only lately i realized the Mandalorian helping Malgus is a younger Shae Vizla

Malgus put a lot of math and planning into ensuring he would be standing at the right spot when the ship crashed. If he was a little off, it would’ve been lights out.

Everyone of these trailers should be made into a movie. My God they are beautifully done.

I am so happy SWTOR is still alive and well despite being trashed by EA from the very start. Even though the team had to make a lot of compromises when it came to expansions they somehow managed and still continue to make it work. People were saying SWTOR was "dead" as far back as 2015 but it's still going so strong. Been playing since 2012 and this game has been such a big part of my life. Can't wait to see what they'll do next.

Those Sith in that transport shuttle made up my mind to main a Sith at the game's launch.

Fun fact: the master that Malgus killed here in his attack for coruscant, had an apprentice who tried to kill Malgus for what he did in this cinematic. The book has the same name as this clip :p and what a shame that Malgus had to kill his sexy Twi'lek. I would have saved her ;)

Amazing. 1/4 of the entire Sequel Trilogy budget and they managed to make something that is relevant still after 10 years. Compared to Sequel Trilogy irrelevancy. I love the Old Republic period of Star Wars.

The last scene… Darth Malgus, so badass. Love it!

Still love the detail that with how the shuttle that crashes through the front of the temple is positioned, none of the Jedi actually saw that sick Lightsaber ignition reveal of all the Sith inside. So the Sith literally just did all that prep for their cool pose and no one else saw it. xD

After finishing Old Republic: Deceived book.. THIS VALIDATES MY LOVE FOR MALGUS! His voice in the audiobook is PHENOMENALLY EVIL!

When the new trilogy was announced in 2012, I was imaging something like this

other than the clone wars this is one of the best star wars multimedia projects ever made

such a great book. To see the temple fight like this made me happy. Not quite as I imagined it in my mind but still amazing!

I never thought I'd see the day. I remember first seeing these when I started playing in 2013 and always come back to watch em. Seeing them remastered is a dream come true.

10 years on, and this is still the coolest Star Wars video game trailer ever, I surprised that they haven’t made full series using this animation style.
