I would actually say that they didn't know how morality works AT ALL. Consider that neither Osha nor Mae consider the ETHICS of the Jedi or the Sith. They did not say, "The Jedi seek peace and wholeness and unity with all living things. Some of them may not live up to that ideal, but that is still a path consistent with a functioning society." Nor did they say, "The Sith are self-absorbed power hungry maniacs who are so destructive that eventually they all off each other. That's not a sane path to take." They made their decision on how to live their ENTIRE LIVES based on who they thought hurt their mom more. These aren't adults making adult decisions, these are children throwing extended temper tantrums.

Nah my critique on the prequels is still on point. I hate Jare Jar, I hate the terrible love story, it was terribly written and gave the actors an impossible task The droid "humor" was terrible, most of the jokes were terrible and rarely landed outside of Obi Wan's cutting remarks But the action was still awesome, the politics was great, the Obi Wann x Anikin interactions, the Clone Wars, the ship combat, the lightsaber fights all on point

The prequels have their flows but they do tell a story that is good. The fights are well made and the political settings works excellently for the overall story.

The biggest irony is, had they actually done the "50 Shades of Grey" thing and just made it non-canon (like how that novel started as a Twilight fan-fiction,) they'd probably have seen slightly more success, even if the writing was still atrocious. I mean, it _kinda_ worked for Zack Snyder, didn't it? Rebel Moon isn't _as hated_ as The Acolyte, right?

My Immortal was at least highly entertaining. It was like opening a bag with a rudely drawn Doritos logo on it, and finding out it was filled with orange triangle shaped cocaine instead of chips - not what you expected, but you knew that going in anywyas, and it was a hell of a ride. Disney Star Wars is like finding a Doritos bag ths looks like the real thing, and opening it up to find a pile of feces crawling with roaches. Zero value whatsoever.

They explained it in the final episode... these aren't twins, they're actually a single person in two bodies. Yes, yes, I know... if they're a single person then why do they have different skills (except when they don't) and different memories (except when they don't) and why don't they know what the other one is doing (except when they do). There's no consistency here even when they do try to explain things.

Or Liv and Maddie, yes, Disney seemed to understand how to do this in that show, but not this one.

I think that it is primarily because the writers are so shitty that they can't keep anything consistent, like plot or character motivations etc. Things just happen with no consideration for anything that happened before or decisions that characters have already made. I'm not sure that this was even made by a human. A kindergartner could tell a better story by improvising than these idiots.

Kathleen Kennedy even (allegedly) said to Leslye after her first draft "You have written a great Star Wars story, but I want you to write a great Leslye Headland story". And Leslye herself pleaded with Amandla to play the lead role/s because "she had written the story specifically with Amandla in mind". When you hire people who do not know Star Wars, do not love Star Wars, and have not seen Star Wars, but purely because they tick certain checkboxes - then failure such as this is bound to happen. So it IS both - choosing diversity above talent and knowledge has led to this debacle. Other companies in and outside of the entertainment industry who do this will follow the same fate. Meritocracy is the superior option for long-term survival - irrespective of race, religion, or sexual identity.

To be fair it was a very BIG pile of cash.
