Palpatine wasn't going to object because Anakin was doing exactly Palpatine wanted -- killing Count Dooku so Anakin would take his place beside Palpatine.
Lightsabers are the greatest fictional weapons ever. If I actually could own a fictional weapon, I'd definitely have a lightsaber. And since green is my favorite color, I'd have my blade be green.
Here it is folks! I'm sorry that it took me so long but here it is at long last! An updated version of all Star Wars lightsaber ignitions and retraction sound effects including The Rise of Skywalker, Solo and The Mandalorian. I also put in some ones that I might had missed as well for those that did asked for them. I DO NOT own these parts in anyway shape or form. Rights belong to Geroge Lucas/Disney/Lucasfilm. This is for entertainment purposes only. I hope to work on a video for The Clone Wars and Rebels. If so guys want those kind of videos, please let me know in the comment section of this right here and I'll do my best to work on those! I hope you guys enjoy it and may the force be with you always. Prequel trilogy - 0:00 Solo - 6:05 Rogue One - 6:09 Original trilogy - 6:15 The Mandalorian - 8:46 Sequel trilogy - 10:10
In the original trilogy, the lightsaber sounds were consistent. Each color has its own ignition sound, and the retraction sound is the ignition sound played in reverse. In the prequel trilogy the sounds gradually started to get mixed up. For example: Qui-Gon's lightsaber always makes a blue sound, even though it's green. at 2:23 Dooku's (red) lightsaber makes a green sound, but the other times he activates it, it makes the correct sound. Throughout Revenge of the Sith, Anakin's (blue) lightsaber sometimes makes the green sound, while Yoda's (green) lightsaber often makes the blue sound. At 4:04 Grievous's lightsabers all make the red sound, but none of them are red! At 5:11 Anakin's (blue) lightsaber makes a red sound, but this might be intentional to indicate that Anakin has fallen to the dark side. 5:32 Palpatine's (red) lightsaber makes a blue sound, but it had previously made the correct sound. Also, the prequel trilogy uses the red deactivation sound most of the time regardless of color. 7:30 Luke's (blue) lightsaber originally made the correct sound. For some reason the green sound was edited into the special edition. The sequel trilogy has lots of strange sounds. This isn't a problem for Kylo Ren's lightsaber, since it is unique and has its own sound, but when Finn and Rey use the old Anakin/Luke lightsaber it randomly switches between the red blue and green sounds, or sometimes multiple sounds edited together.
I wish it was kept consistently. Each color having a unique sound really made having a certain color lightsaber more unique. Not in the “If you have a purple lightsaber you’re a dark side and light side user” type deal but something to a little different. At least all the ignition sounds sound good no matter what color.
@@BradleyWLloyd I'm pretty sure that those blue sound effects in ESB are all meant to represent Luke's saber. It might be confusing because Vader jumps into the shot to surprise Luke with his Saber already on, so we don't hear the red activation sound, we just hear Luke desperately activating his saber.
The rules changed a bit in the Prequels. Lightsaber colours still have their OWN unique sound, but there a few extra rules. No consecutive ignition sound can be the same when there's a so called "fast ignition" ( a character wielding two blades for example). And a villian must always wield the Red Crystal sound, even if they're weilding a Jedi Sabre.
It's so funny how the screen in the older films just freezes for a moment and then unfreezes again when the sabers ignite. Too bad they didn't have the right technology back then. Edit: I just discovered that it's only the case in A New Hope
I really want Rey to use her yellow light saber throughout the movie not just in the end also I want to see a green light saber duel in the new triology because my favourite colour is green
I'm not even a Star Wars fan but I agree. The original trilogy kept the ignition sound completely consistent and unique for each colour of the light saber, so just by hearing the sound you knew which colour it was, but in the later films it just seemed random and it bothers the fuck out of me despite the fact that I haven't even watched these movies lmao
Is it possible to do another updated version of this video after the Ahsoka Tano series is released that has the lightsabers sounds from Obi Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano and Book of Boba Fett included?
One thing I really don't like is in most of the sequel trilogy films Luke/Anakin/Rey's lightsaber makes the Sith ignition sound, specifically the one with that evil hum that follows it. Didn't like that.
I’m not sure why they did that, it also happens a lot in Clone Wars. When Anakin ignites his lightsaber but he’s angry it makes the Sith sound, which I’ve never liked
Jedi lightsaber onomatopoeia: Kwyshuu Sith lightsaber onomatopoeia: Kouufhh Luke lightsaber onomatopoeia: Pyeff (with the occasional Bzzzz) Man while I was a kid I didn't even notice sabers had different sounds, now I am here feeling extreme satisfaction whenever a saber is ignited lmao
It’s weird how it works sometimes. Very few lightsabers ever sound consistent with each other. The ones that don’t change are Ahsoka Tano (Rebels/The Mandalorian/The Book of Boba Fett), Savage Oppress, Kylo Ren, The Jedi Temple Guards, The Inquisitors, Pong Krell and the Darksaber.
I think we're in an awkward place where the jedi have been overrun, but the sith want to play pretend like nothing happened. Mostly because they can't possibly found a new nation. And any remaining jedi will just use their influence to break their hold on the state and minds of the people.
In the original trilogy it was consistent. Each color had its own activation sound and the deactivation sound was that sound in reverse. But then things started to get a little out of whack. The special edition of ESB added a green sound effect to Luke's blue saber for just one scene. In the prequel trilogy they get more and more mixed up, and this was not straightened out in the sequel trilogy.
Wow 6 minutes of this is just the prequels, it really does seem that they tried to shove as many lightsaber fights into those movies as possible at the expense of good storytelling. What a wasted opportunity.
