Slave1 is my ultimate starship out of any sci-fi franchise. Me and my son (16yo)spent a good while working out how the seating position worked when slave1 took off and the cannons it has, that we saw in Clone Wars were epic. Like a mini gun 50cal laser blasters. You've got such an eye and talent for getting these models exact. I haven't got this talent but it's so satisfying to watch. Thanks Eagle.🦅 Respect.💯👊🏽
@@EagleSciFiModeler that is one thing I love about Star Wars, the way everything isn't cgi shiny and have that worn look. I remember watching The Empire strikes back and in awe of how it set off from Bespin with carbon Jan Solo and thinking that's the best Starship ever!!! Thanks 🦅,💯👊🏽
Great job as always. That ship has to have one of the trickier paint jobs to pull off. I have a Slave one model but my skill level isn't ready to take it on . I working on a TIE fighter and have a couple of other Star Was model that I can use to hone my skills first.
Thank you! It was definitely tricky how the colors faded into each other. I Have a Finemolds Slave 1 I will be building in the future but it will be Jango's version. Good luck with your TIE build!
Thanks for the video! A younger version of me got this kit in the '90s & I recently discovered it in my old bedroom at mom's house. Dusting it off, I found that it was also missing the side pieces for his control console. I'll have to manufacture some.
Hey buddy hope your staying safe, I bought that model at Wild Bills hobby shop in Irving Tx years ago sadly never built it lost it in a move, good to see a nice build up on it. Awesome job always loved the Slave 1 been wanting to convert the Amazon exclusive from hasbro for a time now
@@EagleSciFiModeler in this time of social distancing you should consider a live stream it would be interesting to watch a live build I thought of doing something like that through Facebook but i dont really know how to make videos ha
That looks really freakin' awesome... wasn't really a fan of the Slave 1 ship, but this model and your paint job makes me appreciate the design more...!
Another really great job, mate! The scale really lends itself to the lighting, unlike the Bandai version that I have. I know there are modellers that have lit the Bandai, but it seemed far too tight to try, for my tastes. Excellent result.
You're making the AMT kits look too good, man! :) This is probably my favorite AMT model after that Darth Vader vinyl kit you put together. You know the model collectors will hate you for driving up the costs of this kit! Hahahahaha It came out well. The tape obviously worked for you, and maybe I'll look for it. I have projects I have to do this year and might need tape like that for some home improvement/REPAIRS I have to do. Again, nice build. I have a feeling you like this model MUCH better than the last Slave 1! FYI, if there's one thing that kind of makes me scratch my head it's this -- can we really buy this ship as Jango's Slave 1, or is paint stripping that clean in the Star Wars universe? It had such an utterly different paint job in Attack of the Clones. It makes you wonder if it wasn't a different ship, same design obviously, than what Boba has now. As rough as those ships get, I see no trace of the paint job "Slave 1" had when it was Jango's vehicle.
Thank you! I use several types of glued. Typically I use tamiya's thin cement however when working on something like this where I have join to large parts I'll use super glue or CA glue with an accelerator to quickly bond the parts. Tamiya putty is very good and can be thinned with enamel thinner. I also like Bondo glazing putty, it works well on plastic models.
This model seems even more relevant with regards to what happened LATER this year in The Mandalorian streaming series and announcement about everyone's favorite bounty hunter getting his limited series next year. Slave 1 looked really good flying again and finally getting to see it strut its stuff. The games I've played that had Slave 1 in them did the ship a disservice. It was slow, had a horrible blaster set, and just wasn't that maneuverable. Really, the only thing that made the ship worth a darn were the sonic mines. It came off much better in 2 episodes of a TV series. Before that, we only saw it in 2 Star Wars feature films BRIEFLY. I'd still be cautious about current developments. Disney screwed up the Sequel Trilogy and these people at Lucasfilm have been bad-mouthing the fans for over a decade now. I don't understand the current Disney strategy of letting employees in their satellite companies (LFL and Marvel Comics) run at the mouth with verbal diarrhea. That does not build up a good relationship with their customer base!
You did a great job on that. The kit is really pretty wretched truth be told with massive fit problems. It's recently been re-popped as "Boba Fett's Starship" since now the name "Slave 1" is deemed "racist" by the brain-dead woke morons at Disney. If you can get one, the best kit of the craft is the larger model by Fine Molds that was released some years ago. The quality and accuracy is the best you can get of that ship.
