I wanted the Arcade1Up Star Wars virtual pinball as soon as it was announced. I am also a huge Star Wars fan. I didn't really have a plan, but I learned my wife had bought it for me for Christmas. Like others we were frustrated about the delays and the communication or lack of communication about what was going on. It finally arrived and I love it. The 720p is not an issue for me either. We have had fun with it. The best thing is I have a couple of other arcade cabinets and another on the way. My wife does not really into those and does not play them, however we have played each other on the Star Wars virtual pinball almost every day since it arrived.

Nice job Mike. After the frustration of the pre order delay, thinking "are the delays red flags and should I cancel" ... The reports of "washed out" screens, failures ...etc. I can honestly say this is an excellent machine. I don't find the screen(s) to be washed out. Our family is fully engaged in High Score battles, it plays and looks phenomenal.

Nice review as always. I recently got this cab along with the Marvel one. I think both are great but the Star Wars one gets the most play because of the great music. I just love the Star Wars music! Also, my wife, who won't come into the arcade room even if I paid her, seems to love the Star Wars pinball. To have her interested in any video/arcade game is a HUGE feat. So far, she hasn't even tried the Marvel one because she has been fixated on the Star Wars.

I'm extremely surprised they didn't borrow from any Prequel movies. Revenge of the Sith was very quotable , and would have been perfect for a pinball game.

Great review. I cancelled all 3 of my arcade1up pre-orders today including Tempest legacy, Marvel and Star Wars pinball. I feel there is aspect and graphic issues on all 3 of these cabinets just as you mentioned. I will wait for Attack From Mars to become available. I feel the aspect sizing and graphics issues are best tuned in to my liking there.

Love the Star Wars tables on my Switch. I have the AtGames pinball table and am really happy with it. Only going to buy one so I’ll just live vicariously through you.

Thanks for the nice review! I am really enjoying this pinball. The family enjoy it way more that I expected... a lot of competition in the house for that 1st spot on the leaderboard! :) You are right for the Dark Vader table. Seems that camera angle has been set too low. Actually, if you look at the box on the SW pinball (on the side where you see the 10 tables displayed), you can see an image of that table and the camera angle was set different/better before, a more overhead view. Now I'm not sure if it's just on mine or a known software bug, but I notice something strange on the Masters Of The Force table. If I hold down the right flipper button, then the left solenoid stop working for the left flipper (while still holding the right flipper) but work fine normally. It only happen on that table. Let me know if you noticed that. Thanks.

It's odd that these cabinets got glowing reviews and the Attack from Mars with all the same shortcomings got totally crapped on. 🤔

Attack from Mars has 1 table that's totally unplayable. Neither of the other 2 have problems even close to that.

I was the same way Mike in the beginning. The thought of these arcade pinballs was something I was not willing to spend my money on. I was a purest and wanted real tables. Now, 6 months later, I changed my thinking. When I thought about the AFM Tables, I thought, yeah they sure are the originals... but 24" screen, so are they the originals? When I thought of the smaller scale, it seemed to make sense to me suddenly to do Marvel and Star Wars because its original and more acceptable to my brain then a smaller recreation of an original. Now I have Marvel and Star Wars, and I will definately get AFM in the future if I can, but I have no regrets thus far.

Nice review. I recently got the Star Wars Pinball table and my wife & I love it. Sure, it's not perfect but definitely pleased with my purchase. Now I am going to have to get Attack from Mars.

Had to rewind a couple times at 4:45 to breathe. Awesome video Mike, and an honest review as well. Seeing the review after purchasing the table, I would agree with every one of your points. Empire and Vader for sure are my fav tables, but I’m Vader obsessed in general. Beep! Beep!

Great job on the video as usual. My marvel table died on me day one. So... I ended up following Doug's tutorial for modding it. I can't say enough about the v display that allows you to change the color and brightness on the stock monitor. It's seriously night and day. Detail on the tables and colors look amazing now. I would consider modding one of those tables. You will not regret it my friend.

Can you link to the v display mod or provide more info? And is this for the stock monitor or replacing the monitor?

Any chance you have the monitor color/brightness settings you ended up changing to?

@@en4crcdn I turned the brightness down to 38. It was set to 50 which was way too washed out. The color I just messed with a couple settings down from what was standard. And I believe I turned on the gamma. The difference was shocking. Definitely worth it if you are modding this machine. Shout out to Cooltoy tutorial.

Great review as always Michael and glad you're enjoying it! Something that really sticks out to me is the music and sound effects. Seems like Arcade1up and Zen did a great job with the audio expensive on these pinballs

Boy u sold me in it. I just got my marvel a week ago now the pinball are on sale so I wasn’t sure if I can fish out another 600+ but after watching your video I think I need this table.

hi michael i had to tell you i was like you and not thrilled about pinballs until i watched your reuiews and i was able to get a star wars ordered yesterday and it will be here at end of the week i was a hardcore arcade gamer and got all the arcade 1 up machines and euen built a polebarn to hold my euer growing addition lol keep it up if you can i like your reuiews and honesty the best you tell it like it is i just subscribed and am a member thank you !!

Thanks for the review. I've got one en route. Yeh, that DMD is too small for me to read, even if I lean over the Marvel table. So, I'm prototyping a magnifying device to make the DMD readable. Looking forward to the Star Wars table.

Hahaha great review man. I've been debating back and forth for a long time about getting this and during the May the 4th sale I was going to pull the trigger but by the time I did they had already sold out. So they drop the price again to $500 and I figured now's the Time so I bought it. I'm up to 11 cabinets and a pinball machine and like you, I feel like I'm risking divorce every time I buy a new one hahaha you nailed that one on the head

seems like a cool machine, I just wish the artwork was the classic Ralph Mcquarrie artwork. I don't want a picture with Daisy Ridley or any horrible sequel trilogy artwork gunking up my home game room.

Love this game on my Nintendo Switch with the Flip Grip so i van even play it with the screen vertically. I would love to own this pinball table anyway. But all these 1upAl Arcade cabinets are really hard to get in the EU especially in my country. Import makes it even more expensive then it allready is too.

I love these pinball tables, but have you had issues with high score not saving? Thor table I had 62 mil not save, so I tried again and got 85. I saved, went out to table selection and still no save. Only these 2 times, but I want these good scores lol. Anyone else have this issue at all?

Thanks for the review! Would you mind ranking the three A1Up pinballs and the Legends pinball (assuming you have it)? I’m so sad AtGames doesn’t have the Williams tables as it would render the Attack from Mars table redundant. The Legends looks like the winner but the packs seem a bit boring. Help!

The DMD properly fills the entire screen in the early demo units. Why would they letterbox the thing on the retail release!?

I actually don't mind the low resolution; it's the black levels that are killing me. Their display are so blown out, and it's just baffling that there's no way to adjust the brightness.

It’s so weird seeing pinball fix in a cabinet. I can imagine it is fun, and easy to play, but the lack of physical components is almost too far for me. I completely understand, figured it was too good to be true to have wires and flippers, light boards, it would be so damn convoluted. Imagine telling someone to assemble that hunk of shit too lmao. But the price is the ungodly wall in your way. I think this(lcd screen and loaded software) would be easier to replace/service/mod as well, they’re pretty fun but I think I may have every other arcade1up. I just got the Midway Legacy MK2 cabinet and plan on getting the Capcom legacy cabinet as well next. They’re just too damn cool

I think I would really love this table if the scaling didn't make it look so bad it should of been made that the ball never shrinks. I want something that makes me feel as close to real pinball as possible even if that meant costing me 1200 to 1500 for a better feel.

So if you could only buy one of the 3 cabinets which would you buy? I'm leaning towards Attack on Mars myself. I love Marvel and I'm pretty in to Star Wars, but I'm concerned about limiting myself to a single theme on these tables, so was thinking of going with Attack on Mars so I get some variety. Curious since you've played them all which you'd get if 1 was all you could have. Also hello from BC! :)

Attack from Mars has a bigger ball on screen. I have played Star Wars and own AFM. The physics on the AFM feels more real and the tables are more colorful. I would suggest the AFM

If it gets flagged all that happens is they prevent monetization on the content, but since I don’t monetize on my channel that’s not an issue for me. Understand why it is for others though. Great vid all the same!

@@KelsallsArcade It's a little more complicated than that. If your video isn't monetized they don't share it out to your subscribers as much as they should. It's a nightmare trying to get youtube to do what it just should

It's unfortunate the graphics look awful. I don't get why. These tables ran on a PS3. You can go buy the exact same zen tables for a PS3 right now and they look way way way nicer. a 15 year old console.

Couldn't help but roll my eyes every time you called it the "Kathleen Kennedy" trilogy. As much hate as you seem to have for the sequel trilogy, you'd better give her just as much credit for her involvement in The Mandalorian and other live-action Star Wars series. She's had about the same level of involvement in both.
