Star Wars Battlefront 2015 - 7 YEARS LATER- A RETROSPECTIVE 

Great video! It's so nostalgic. I remember playing so much extraction. I miss Sabotage game mode because the maps were so beautiful. Only match you can ever find is Cargo anymore...

I still play this game to this day - December 2023 - still gives me the joy from the very first day - the multiplayer community is still out there - keeping this game alive -

Battlefront 2015 is the first and only game that somehow made D-List characters like Greedo, Dengar, and Nien Nunb incredibly fun to play with unique abilities and tons of character with their banter

I don't think anybody will ever understand the level of crippling nostalgia I have for this game.

I don't care about the hate this game gets. It is pure nostalgia for me. Staying up all night goofing around with my buddies playing some Star Wars. Brilliant times! This game had outstanding graphics, damn near perfect sound design, great characters. It was simple and to the point. Awesome game, great fun. Something Battlefront 2 lacked in my personal opinion

I don’t understand why so many people are trying to hate on you and the game. You’re a nice guy so no reason to hate you and the game, while in my opinion isn’t as good as its sequel is still quite good and holds up semi-well, is in no means bad. So don’t listen to the hate man, and for as late as I am, great vid and retrospective.

Ok I know no one asked but god this is so nostalgic, I remember when I got my first Xbox in 2015 that came with this game and minecraft Xbox One edition, almost all of my friends at the time also we're getting their first consoles(we were in kindergarten lol) and most of us liked Star Wars so we got this game. My parents wouldn't let me play online so I only really played offline and split-screen couch co-op with friends but we all really liked the game and for most of us it was our first real video game experience so I feel like I can speak for a lotta people my age when I say bf1 was kinda what really sparked our passion for gaming. I vividly remember competeing with my friends during school over who got the most kills in offline games(which we all thought were online for some reason). and two Years later, when bf2 came out, there was so much hype at my school, during the month it came out a common conversation starter would be "hey have you bought bf2" and coincidentally bf2 ended up being my first online gaming experience, so the battlefront series holds quite a special place in my and many others hearts as it was a big part of our elementary school years. My mom bought me the ps4 battlefront bundle Christmas 2015, and oh my God, it was the best gift I’ve ever received. When I first played bf2015 I was blown away by how immersive it was, it replicated the feeling of Star Wars perfectly. From mid 2016 to late 2017, I played this game for hours everyday. I love this game and still play it til’ this day, it will go down as the best game I’ve ever played❤️🥲

Some of the blasters in Star Wars are customised weapons from Ww1 and ww2 The T-21 is a Lewis gun with the drum mag removed. The CA-87 is an SMLE Mk 3 cut down and with a grenade launcher attachment.

bro this could not be more true I remember in 5th grade coming home and playing this game so much playing as the shadow trooper and I was beyond hyped when they announced the 2nd battlefront

I absolutely loved this game. What’s more, I feel the same way about Battlefront II. Although I haven’t played Battlefront since the sequel arrived, I play Battlefront II to this day. We need a third installment.

Nahhh I knew about it way before the 2015 Reveal Trailer. I knew about the game since the 2013 E3 Teaser Trailer. I remember I was on summer break from freshman year of college watching E3. It was basically a tradition tuning into watch E3 every June, before it basically died out. At that point I had lost all complete hope of Battlefront 3 ever being announced. When they said they had a special trailer reveal, you should have seen how fucking hard I was cheering and yelling when the Snowspeeder came crashing down and moments later the AT-AT’s foot came down onto you from the POV of the heavily breathing soldier. Then the recognizable golden logo appearing, “Battlefront”. What I would give to relive that excitement all over again.

Ngl, I felt insulted when finding out this game was Original Trilogy only and completely ignored The Clone Wars. Especially since at that time, Disney and Lucasfilm seemed like they wanted to pretend that era never even existed.

I think they dropped the first trailer on the Star Wars Celebration 15th of June. I was hyped eventhough I didn't have a PC at that time and I got the game at some point. The grafics were great but I never really got sucked into the game. I didn't get any DLC because they were kind of inappropriate and the multiplayer was a bit discouraging having no upgrades and no game sense. I spent most of my time in survival, also because the multiplayer was already kind of dying for the regular maps I think. I remember following a hairy wasp around on tatooine that was kind of fun. Shows how much attention they payed to some of the details. Otherall I had a better time reinstalling classic BF2 with a grafics mod.

I really wanted to like this game when it came out. The only thing that stopped me from wanting to play it in the early years was that it was made to be multiplayer only. Even now the game only having two offline versions of the multiplayer modes added to the small amount of single player content that was there can get boring after a while, which made this game due to fail after an amount of time, especially when EA just stopped updating it and its sequel. That's what I believe made the old battlefront games so timeless, they had something for everybody to get into.

Is the PS4 / PS5 community Still alive for this game? Want to buy as it is on sale

My main criticism for the game is still the same. No Clone Wars era and barely any offline modes.

I played this since I was young and it came out

It was nice game and incredible feeling to play new Battlefront after all these years. But lack of any prequel content was really disapointing, because that was the sw era i mostly care about. Rebel vs empire never gave me a feeling of grand scale war, like clone wars does. Great that sequel had much more content for every one to enjoy.

Heroes Villains really entertaining Hero hunt really good in some maps Walker Assault was always my go to stopped playing online 2022

It was a terrible game. Nothing like the original battlefront games. What we got was a call of duty arcade shooter instead.
