I played this game religiously. Coming home after school every day and rushing through my homework just to play hours of walker assault and not get bored of it.

Am I the only one that genuinely liked the survival mode? I remember playing 2 players on the Sullust and Hoth maps with my brother and my friends

I really enjoyed this game, the way the captured the OT in this was absolutely astonishing. It’s still beautifully done even today.

I'm appalled by the decision to not make a BF3.

Six years! Wow, where does time go? I remember skipping college to pick this game up. The hype was massive.

Maybe it’s just me but I liked Bf1 way more than bf2. And I literally grew up with bf1. In my opinion it was waaay more fun to play as a simple trooper because you had more possibilities to customise him. In Bf 2 playing as a trooper bores me really fast and I need to quickly get some „ special unit“ , which isn’t special at all because literally everyone has one. And if you try to walk over the map as a normal trooper you actually only have a small chance to accomplish anything as you just get killed in almost every 1v1 against a reinforcement. That wasn’t the case in the first game. Man I miss this Game so much.

I miss coming back home from school, having no work to do and hopping on Battlefront with my best friends and killing people with the bowcaster and jump pack combo

Idk why no one ever even mentions it anywhere, but the reason people still love and play this game is because, whether intentionally or not, dice created a competitive shooter game. It’s definitely lacking in the actual star wars department, although if you’re mainly a fan of the OT it will suffice, but the game’s movement is like no other. The roll jumping mechanic offers a unique and satisfying skill gap, and the gunplay is often competitive and rewarding for people who put time into the game. The competitive scenes are still alive and well on all 3 platforms, where a variety of competitive events have been taking place this whole time. People like myself who still play the game do so because we love the movement and gunplay. It quenches our competitive cravings, while simultaneously providing a nostalgic, authentic Star Wars feel that we all love.

I genuinely miss this game and the memories that surround it so much. I was in high school, and would play it with my friends most days of the week. One of these friends passed away a few years ago, and another moved away after college and plays on pc now days. Now it’s just me and one other guy and we’re both pretty busy so we rarely see one another. I cherish those times on Battlefront because it brought us all so close together and filled us with so much joy and laughter. I’d give so much to relive one of those carefree days and to talk to my friend one last time. Friendship just isn’t the same anymore, and I crave friendship like I had in those days again so much. I’ll miss those days for the rest of my life

I'm still so pissed off that Dice never added in any options to play the DLC maps offline, I still want to be able to access this content after the servers die. I'd have loved to have been able to do Skirmish and offline Fighter Squadron on Bespin, the Outer Rim and Skarff. Some kind of offline Battlestation mode would've been ace too.

Still love and play this game. I might be in the minority here, but I loved the simplicity of its gameplay and the lack of predefined classes. The freedom and flexibility to use whatever weapons and abilities is amazing. BF2 just has too much going on and gets far too chaotic. Not to mention Walker Assault, Extraction and Sabotage are the best modes hands down.

Man you made me miss this game so much. Definitely hopping on this weekend and holiday season, the nostalgia is insane.

IN MY OPINION. I strongly prefer battlefront 2015 to battlefront 2 because of the way you are able to Chose your cards And your weapon every time you respawn. ( I don’t like the classes)

I absolutely LOVE battlefront 1 still, clocked hundreds of hours up on it, I still have it and still play on it, personally I think it’s the better one out of the two ( battlefront 1 & battlefront 2 ) although I do play battlefront 2 as well.

I loved the sniper duals in this game. Taking pot shots at each other, holding down half the enemy team because no one wanted to step outside and gee hear shot. The game did well with keeping up the intensity, never giving you a moment to rest before the enemy was right on your heels.

this bought back memorise, playing this on PS4 was a lot of fun. Constantly seeing the same people in Australian lobbies and slowly catching up to them in skill will always be something I look back on and cherish.

I genuinely loved this game. It’s in my top 5 games of all time. The hero’s were amazing, the DLC’s did not disappoint, the gameplay and movement was so smooth. I just really enjoyed playing this game every day.

Man walker assault and sabotage on administrator's palace and bioniip laboratories were so freaking good and fun to play. The walker assault map was literally perfect. Such a shame no-one plays it these days

I absolutely love this game and I'm still playing it to this day. So many fond memories and general fun. I really wished people could have seen it in a better light.

I really liked Battlefront 2015 and it got me into Star Wars. It's a really fun game and the graphics are just stunning, better than most new games today. Maybe DICE can give us another experience like that one day with plenty of offline content too. 🤞

I still love that game more than BF2. The sound of the thermal imploder, the fact that you could shoot through a shield with the cycler rifle or the scatter gun, all that made it really enjoyable. I am still a big fan of the smaller modes, droid run, cargo, extraction.

BF's Bespin was fantanstic! Why BFII only gave us the Cloud City portion for Blast and HvV is beyond me. The one good thing about the token system is you didn't have one or more people on your team sitting in the spawn menu, waiting for a hero to open up, thus handicapping your team.

It was fun at the time but it's really not aged so well imo, really hard to find matches especially on the dlc maps which are really the best maps to play on in the first place. Also little offline bot support which sucks. The customization was fun tho and the amount of weapons is crazy

Fun fact: I played it today even tho I didn't know it's been exactly 6 years

I still go back to this game often and get so much enjoyment out of playing. The PS4 servers in Australia have been really active recently, so I've managed to get full lobbies in most the DLC modes which I'm happy about, as I never played them upon their initial release

For the PC playerbase, we have a big discord server for people playing the game where we still have community events for DLC modes and every week we get to still play every single one of the DLC modes

I loved this game. It was my first PS4 game. It was the week after Christmas 2015 and I used my Christmas money to buy the Star Wars battlefront PS4 bundle. I actually didn’t even know this game existed until I bought the PS4. It was my first Star Wars game aside from lego star wars. It even took me a while to find out a lot of people didn’t like it.

It had its flaws, but what doesn’t? Great game to come back to every now and then.

God I miss Sullust. Those maps were beautiful. I also miss Jakku! I know there's one in the ST eta (which I never play), but the battle of Jakku was so damn good, with all the background action and the Super Stardestroyer crashing! I'd always stop to take a look.

walker assault was my absolute favorite mode and it kills me that a standalone mode with walkers, first order walkers, seperatist transporters weren't put into bf2, their involvement in galactic assault was to brief it needed its own mode

As one of the first players in the game. I had never played a game with guns up until this point when I was 8 years old. After having played that game for years, I can say that I made many good memories. One of which; I look on alot, it was a day early in the morning, very nice day outside, very nice morning. I am feeling the nostalgia rn. The sunlight was coming into the media room, and I was relaxing playing Star Wars Battlefront on my Xbox One X. Its a random normal memory, but something about it, just made it special. The game was wonderful. I am playing SWBF2 sometimes now, man the memories....

This game was a Masterpiece. I said it. Incredible maps and immersive graphics, gunplay was amazing, and heroes and vehicles were fun as hell. Battlefront 2 can’t hold a candle to this game.

My favourite thing about this game was the people I met online playing it, great memories and I still keep in touch with many of them today

7:40 probably the biggest rush for a token ive ever seen was in a carbonite freezing chamber game on the bespin dlc when my entire team spotted it and we were all just racing each other in a single hallway, good times

This game was the start of my video game journey. It was immersive and good looking for its time and had some of the most iconic characters from star wars as playable heroes! This game will always hold a special place in me for that reason.

I really wish that there was a community group that was dedicated to have a talk discussion of this game and setup Friday game sessions for everyone to play to fill up the servers. Star Wars Battlefront 1 deserve more love and I wish EA could go back to at least update the DLC maps for bot supports.

Great game and tons of nostalgia for me. It was the only FPS game I could play at the time, and I put wayyyy too many hours into it. Just such a happy time in life.

Wow, I couldn’t believe it’s been SIX YEARS since Star Wars Battlefront (2015) came out, either. I remember getting the season pass when the DLCs started to roll around, I played countless hours and hours of Star Wars Battlefront when it first came out. But, when the DLCs roll around, I played the Death Star DLC and the Rogue One: Scarif DLC a LOT when those DLC packs came out. Because one, I LOVE space battles, they are the heart of Star Wars, the Death Star battle was recreated when the DLC came out, and the Scarif DLC was released alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You forgot about the Red 5 X-Wing and Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced One as playable hero and villain vehicles with their wingmen.

The first time I touched this game was when I was playing at my cousins house. We had a ton of fun playing the single player modes and then I got it myself and played a ton of multiplayer with an old friend. Really glad this game exists because what it meant to me

The hero pickup remark you made. Wow. Absolutely perfect. There was an adrenaline rush that was so much fun, and I just realized that is what it felt like then. That to me is what BF2 is missing. There is not a lot of intensity or rush in that game which is what I miss. Plus the maps were just special, Cargo was much fun, and the DLC's were incredible. What a time it was during the brief years of Battlefront. Side note: For BF3, I feel a combination of the best sides of both games would make a perfect Battlefront 3.

Bought a PS4 just for this game and never got tired of it! This SWBF was my favorite multiplayer game of the PS4/xbone generation. Cargo, walker assault and HvV with friends were always great times!

hopped back on this game a couple weeks ago and I've been playing it pretty frequently. I know it's not everyones favorite but I have so much love for this game.

Recently saw an older interview of Dennis Brännvall where he talked about porting 2015 content over to the new games and how it would only be slightly less effort than creating new stuff and thats why they did not want to put the old maps into the new game. With this they completely missed the mark. Fans were asking for the old maps because so many ppl liked the maps in the first game but not so much in the 2nd game and it would have been an easy content boost to bring those in, especially since the gamepass split the playerbase into fractions, on pc you basically only had around a year or even less time to really play the game regularly because not many players were left to play these maps with, and the second game had everyone that was left switch over to the 2nd game...

For me it was immersive. I felt like I was in the Star Wars universe whenever I played any mode of this game. I can’t understate how much wonder that instilled in me back then. I still love the 2017 game, but it will never immerse me like the original. Idk what would be better, the increased variety of content ie, BF2 Prequels to Sequels, or less content ie BF1 just the age of empire era, but you’re immersed.

Remember going to friends house after school and hoping on playing together. So nostalgic

Star Wars Battlefront 2015 was amazing, loved playing it online on PS4 back in 2015, especially right around the time The Force Awakens came out, glad to see the game have a large number of offline modes, having a blast playing it on PS5 now 🙌🙌🙌

What annoyed me about the DLC is they didn’t add them to the skirmish… so if you bought it, basically can’t play it now !

It's like a strange repeat of the old star wars battlefront 1 and 2 where battlefront 1 had the better maps but battlefront 2 had the better game play which is why I would always switch between the two

Khaki skin, rank 100. Those Aussie lobbies finding the exploit spots, that same crew who queued on Saturday mornings, sat in Playstation party chats while we queued until 2pm. The crew that team queued to US West Bespin lobbies, Death star runs, and stuck it out with the preordered swbf 2 sitting right next to em. Was a great time

i played this game from when it came out to when the servers went dead. i never got bored of it, i got to rank 100 in no time and still played because i just found it fun. for me, it was perfect. i get some of the critiques but for me it was perfect and has a special place in my heart

This was my main game i have played almost everyday since i got it, u pointed out the token system and the advantage of remembering the hero token spawns, well i still remember some, walker assaults had 2 possible spawns on each of the 3 phases so 6 in total and remembering the spawns and camping them was just abusive but fun This game has something that battlefront 2 doesnt, it just draws me more than the sequel but theres just no one playing it anymore and finding a lobby takes like a hour

This was the first ps4 game so it left a huge impression over me for multiple reasons not just because it was my first game and the impression is mostly good. This game will forever be one of my favorites.

I love the way you could pick up a token and play a hero in bf. I don’t like how they did it in BF2. That also goes for the vehicles

How can you play this game I play on ps4 I used to play this game a lot back then. I had the urge to try it out again and when I got on the game it said take out as many rebel scums until battlefront installs and it’s been hours.

You know I still have such fond memories of this game, I really think it was fantastic, may have been a bit shallow at launch but what it had it did really well.

BF1 looks SO much better than BF2 in every way, and I actually prefer the combat in BF1 to BF2, as in BF2 it feels to...floaty and arcady. What BF2 did do better was starfighters lol.

i love the smaller gamed modes, no vehicles no heroes. just pure pvp infantry action. i wish i could play that again.

i've found bespin lobbies are really easy to find when you play on a saturday (at least for me, an australian on playstation)

More people should play this game! It's impossible to get a game for the DLC on xbox. Would be nice if you could rally the troops and we could set some games up

For anyone who is wondering about matchmaking, ON PC basically the only way "that I" have been able to find matches is to play from 2pm to 6pm EST. time, ON EUROPEAN servers. I have yet to find a full match in NA, I like walker assault the best, I wish bf2 had it. There is also a battlefront 2015 pc discord that might help. ON XBOX and probably PLAYSTATION The game is still very alive, I pretty much can always find a game of walker assault with 2-3 minutes. Also both battlefronts are on game pass if you already didn't know.

excellent, miss the bespin maps, Death Star mission particularly with R2, Scarif, Director Krennic was good fun, and Greedo's thermal imploder. was it cargo mode on sullust that was good fun too.

I still play. It is super fun. SWBF2 was not even close. The skill as a trooper between combat/momentum roll and jet pack is so fun.

I'm glad there's many who also have nostalgia with this game I thought this was way better than BF2 and this was my first Xbox one Shooter game and I played so many hours into it, I miss its heyday, you can still get people playing on the non-DLC maps but that's it which is kinda sad because I loved this game, I played it in the summer of 2016 the year I graduated (I got it in May and graduated June 1st) but it was amazing and I just remember playing it everyday with my friends. I'll never forget those memories

I think the game thrived best in the blast mode. maps felt like arenas that threw the players right into the action with each other. some of my favorite multiplayer moments where in that mode.

I started playing bf1 but then i moved to the bf 2 but still the first one give me so much nostalgia and it was awsome also i like how heroes accualy did something in bf1 not like in bf2

When this game came out I had just got my Xbox and it’s been the only game that I’ve never deleted off of my Xbox since then I play it every day and I have such a personal connection with it.
