He's so overpowered. I literally went two rounds in a row in Heroes vs Villains as him where I killed all of the heroes by myself within the first minute. Anyway, awesome video as always dude!
+Fact Free I think you are a good Greedo player. Greedo has his obvious weaknesses. Luke can kill him very fast in a 1 vs 1 situation. (I experienced this once when I played Greedo...)
+Elias Jurvanen Yes he is. I went on a 1v1 against Luke in HvsV (Luke never goes against Vader) and completely wrecked him. The precision shot is what helped me the most. It stuns them and does massive damage, and I get to continue shooting at him too. He never stood a chance, and I barely took any damage.
Whose brilliant idea was it really to say: Hey remember that character that did absolutely nothing except get shot, wouldn't that be a great addition to our game? Only focusing on the Original movies is a really dumb idea and severely limits everything about the game. Then again they're limiting it even more than necessary either way.
+G- Its a real problem with the OT movies as they did not have as many major combatant characters as the Rebel Alliance. In the Original Trilogy all they pretty much had were Vader, the Emperor and the bounty hunter Boba Fett, contrast to the Rebels who had Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Obi-wan and Lando Calrissian.
What I expected playing Greedo: Just more filler for DLC. What I got: The love child of Sonic the Hedgehog, McCree, and the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight.
Badass finish! I have really enjoyed playing as Greedo, picked him up on Hoth and used his precision shot to clear out the hanger during the second phase of Walker Assault in order to lead in the storm troopers, his speed and blaster are also great, managed to hold off one of the final uplinks in the same game just clinging to the little health i had left. Love your strategy suggestions, hoping one day we can be given the ability to communicate with other players so we can actually work together better as a team and pull off the kind of plan as you said.
OTAKU But I don't' watch your videos. Since playing as a hero in battlefront is simple. I just watch your video to see how Greedo played because I receive to buy the pack for such an despicable looking hero and after seeing him he's not worth it. Yes and killing heroes is simple you basically damage them. All the power moves are unblockable and lightsaber wielders have priority over gun heroes since their hits can't be guarded. Shit is simple.
awesome! thanks for the tips, ive only just got the dlc so I saved this video until i tried everything and got used to the maps then watch these to become better.
When you're talking about the function of the other heroes and what they should do I can only think about Palpatine in my team just running straight to Han and Luke.
+Mauro VDH i had a han solo yesterday sit and jump up an down inside the radius of greedo dioxide grenade im like fml still ended up killing all heros force pushed greedo and boba fett (mid air ) off cliffs so gg lol
Yes! Finally up and running! Great job Otaku! I played Greedo several times and I have to say it feels like he has so much DPS yet is a glasscannon if you run and gun without a brain. I enjoy his precision shot because it feels like McCree's Deadeye. One last comment: as I was watching this video, I can't help but envy your grenade throws. A solid 70% of the time the grenades killed or did damage on someone. Nade throwing guide?
+DarkeAura Thanks dude and you are right, he has huge damage potential but just as much chance to fail horribly. I have been throwing grenades for a long time....
Very informative video, as usual. I'm not as disappointed in Greedo as some people are but I do think his precision shots ability needs a buff of some sort, either allowing him to move while it's charging, increasing the range, or making it charge faster. Right now though it feels pretty weak since it doesn't seem all that strong against single enemies (with the charge time included it seems faster to just shoot them normally) and it isn't very strong against packs of enemies (since standing around in front of 3+ rebels is just a bad idea). Anyways, thanks again for the video. I wasn't entirely clear on how the confidence meter worked so I especially appreciated that part.
+Nick Powers I agree that the precision shot is rather weak. As of right now, you are better off just straight up shooting. The only time its even remotely helpful is to stun Luke during 1v1 or if you somehow manage to get close enough behind a whole group.
It's worth noting that his confidence can also be boosted by successful hits on droids and turrets. This is an exploit that can help players boost his grenade and blaster damage before you even fight a human opponent. EDIT: You do this perfectly at 9:21. You go from Cautious to Daring to Reckless all by blasting away at a turret. I love this strategy!
+OTAKU I agree, so use it now while you can! I imagine future updates will reduce or entirely eliminate confidence build up. Oh well. As long as Trooper Bane gets returned to its forget glory, all will be well in the hero realm.
He's so overpowered, I've only got to use him once and with that one attempt I managed to get a 72 kill streak. This video is amazing tho, covers everything about him in every little detail. Good as always man.
Greedo is perfectly suited to Extraction, especially on Jabba's Palace. His speed and increasing grenades make him a nightmare in the tight corners. This exceptionally true when the cargo lift has to climb stairs flanked by walls. You can simply set up camp at the top or sides and wait for the Rebels to come to you then annihilate them.
I'm already excited about your Nien Nunb Video. Unfortunately I didn't have time to play the game in the last few days so that I couldn't try out the new stuff.
+Hardwarefreak Nunb is great in Heroes vs Villains. You just place his turret in a vantage point, place prox. bombs in frequently used corridors and go to town with his sniper.
+Random Complex It's actually a little tricky to do if you aren't very good at anticipating enemy moments or understanding the flow of battle. It's also very hard to survive when Vader is chasing you down.
OTAKU Off course, that comes with experience. That being said, no experience in the world is going to save you if Vader sneaks up on you. The best you can do, is to try to back up, get as much damage as possible on him and get defeated, since because of the saber stun and Vader's ranged options, running away rarely works. That's why turret and bomb placement is very important, since Vader can't really avoid the latter, as he can't blow them up from a safe distance, like Greedo and Boba Fett can.
Great video. I don't have the DLC myself, so this was interesting. I did wish that you showed actual clips of Greedo using the skills as you explained them. Still not sure what each looks like except the obvious grenade throw.
+KeiNovak I use the skills throughout the clips and you can clearly see the skill actually being used. It's obvious when I'm throwing a grande, using scan pulse or locking onto enemies as they all have very unique animations.
thanks so much for this video! I'm probably getting the outer rim this weekend and greedo kinda seemed like someone id be bad with, but this makes me feel better about him, are you going to make one about nein nub?
According to the Star Wars canon he was actually incompetent as a bounty hunter. There was a eulogy held for him by Boba Fett and the other bounty hunters in honor of him, but was never able to garner any major successful bounties. I honestly laughed when I saw him as a playable character more so than Nien Numb. Why didn't they bring us one of the other bounty hunters like Bossk (though it turns out he'll be available for the Death Star DLC in opposition of Chewbacca), IG-88, Zuckuss, or 4-LOM? Instead, they give us the Rodian who was killed like a bitch by Solo, and today becomes simply the debate of "Who shot first?"
They did it because he is more iconic than the other guys. Though we will get Bossk. That said, the entire thing about his ' confidence ' meter is that he actually was a decent bounty hunter, which is the reason he hung out with such top tier bounty hunters, yet he was pretty young and unexperienced. He was trying very hard to make a name for himself and tried to take down Solo in a one v. one. He was way out of his league and was extra cocky for not bringing back up. That's why in game he becomes progressively better as he gets more points.
I just got off Battlefront and I've been using Greedo in Heros vs. Villans and I can say, he fits my play style so much! Lone wolf who enjoys being aggressive? I got all 3 awards at the end of the game doing 13k of Hero damage :)
I like that they use a character from Star Wars that wasn't really in the movie that long and put them in the game and have them special abilities that's cool with me
How long until Nien Nubb gets a video? Nubb is probably the most complicated hero to discuss in terms of how to handle the villains, as each villain requires a different approach in how to handle them or else you get killed by said villain without a chance to fight back. Or I see people setting up in bad places, not helping the team/teammates refusing to assist Nubb despite signals, or not utilizing his abilities very well. I could help with some of it, like good ways to position yourself in HvV based on the surroundings and who you work with. For example, on the Echo Base map if you are able to set up in the far right communications room and set up two mines a bit apart in both hall ways and then go help the team with the turret outside and some pulse cannons here and there. If things start going south run back to the room with someone on your team if possible (another hero) and hold up in there. When you hear mines go off in either hall way and it says hero damaged or you feel as their team is going through there, set up a turret facing that hall way then run down the other way, setting new mines as you go and remaining unpredictable and temporarily setting up in different rooms. The goal is to survive and to lure the villains in as many traps as you can, while avoiding the possibility of getting surrounded. Doing this with any of the other heroes, defending with Leia or having Han/Luke scout out a bit and luring villains into said traps is the best strategy I can think of for Nubb or just running around making himself a hard target with his speed and traps.
I love your videos and all that and it's made me a lot better of a player in a short period, but I really want to know how you can defend from and attack an imperial probe droid best or a r5 d4 droid best
Do you think the season pass guns are op? I'm just wondering since I don't have it and I seem to be getting killed by the season pass assault rifle a lot these days
+Pete Hassett They are not really that good at all. You are getting killed with them a lot because a lot of people are trying them out, simple as that.
