i love how the game has so much going, and i mean both in the way of content and stuff going on in the battles, the only bad thing about this game is honestly the AI, everything else is either perfect, good enough, or a small, forgivable or tolerable thing. i hate it when people look at old games and assume they're bad just because of the graphics. a friend of mine calls himself a fallout "fan", but has only played fo4, and fo76 which is a sin, he refused to take new vegas seriously because of the graphics, which, for 2010 are a bit outdated, but who cares! new vegas is nothing short of a miracle of game design. so is the classic battlefront II.
I love battlefront 2 and this run was great to watch, but I'm an even bigger fan of Fallout and for someone to call themselves a fan of something yet only have experience with the worst two releases of the IP, is a joke.. 1, 2, and Nv are the core, everything Bethesda mustered (as far as story and lore is concerned) should be looked at as a completely different iteration of the original idea.. A really bland iteration at that, multiple times over with 3 and 4. 76 doesn't even really exist in my mind, that's just some mmo spin off in an attempt to generate money lmao.
@@yoda301 Well I'm not going out of my way to deter people from playing them, it's just plain wrong to call them Fallout games if you learned anything about the old ones.. The stories in bethesda fallout are surface level and rarely allow real role playing, what the game was founded upon.
@@ZombieGFL still weird to gatekeeper like that tbh. People are allowed to be fans of newer titles without having to play all the previous installments. Just because someone might not enjoy a top down slower pace old pc rpg doesn’t mean they aren’t a true fan of a franchise. People have different preferences on what the enjoy, and franchises evolved over time. It’s selfish to require people to line up with what you enjoy in order to be considered a “true fan”
It’s interesting to see this game ran so fast though I managed to complete most of it in a couple of hours on a May the 4th stream I did on twitch a couple years ago so at least without tricks I’m not awful 🤣
Surprisingly not as the award weapons help deal with Jedi much easier making it rather consistent! The main risk of time loss on Coruscant is more likely to happen when collecting holocron #2 or fighting the 3 Jedi masters due to the janky melee vs melee combat
This run went really well! I like the little tricks you used to have a better advantage. Like the speedy glitch in Coruscant when running all the way to the Gunship with infinite stamina. Question, how did you do to destroy the Clone life support consoles with Boba Fett without dying to the explosions? Everytime I do that I end up dying in the process
When friendly fire is switched off, it means that any explosions or shots fired by the player don’t harm them or their allies, meaning I can place the detpacks and explode them with 0 risk!
I do wonder if by how much you could reduce the time if you're playing splitscreen. Like haveing one of you prepare the next objective while the other is speedrunning through the first. I'll have to lookup if the cathegory exists.
I don't know about Xbox or PS2 splitscreen, but there is a category for PC Co-op which can be done by using the multiplayer server commands to play through the campaign maps! Clipping inside the Kashyyyk sea wall is nothing too crazy, once the gate winch has been destroyed, stand in a position where the sea wall will go up and repair the winch from there. You should then be pushed up and inside the gate winch, making protecting the oil refinery from droid tanks much easier. Infinite sprint is a bit hard to explain through text alone (which is why I might make videos on the topic at some point), and my explanations are a bit rusty but I’ll try my best here. In essence there are 3 types of infinite sprint: 1. Frame-perfect inf sprint When performing a sprint, by hitting and holding the roll button on the frame that the beige energy bar is at its minimum, the sprint continues until either the forward or sprint or roll button is deselected 2. Mid-air inf sprint When sprinting, if you find yourself in mid-air due to falling off a small ledge or ascending from a bump in the ground collision, then it’s also possible to inf sprint from here. When descending during your sprint, hold the roll button. If the stamina bar is empty before landing on the ground then you will continue into an inf sprint. This makes getting an infinite sprint easier as it allows a more flexible window for getting it compared to the first method. 3. Lightsaber block inf sprint While the above is possible across all characters, this one is only possible for lightsaber users. When energy has been reduced to 0, there is a small grace period that takes place before any rolls or sprints etc. can start happening again. During this grace period, press the block button then hold roll and perform a sprint. The stamina bar will not move will allow for infinite Jedi sprinting. This is not only the easiest method of sprinting but also the fastest type of inf sprint since the lightsaber characters are all way faster. I assume you’re talking about when I switch class to the Heavy Trooper to destroy the turrets on Mygeeto? Well, although I have the remote rocket unlocked, it’s unique since the game allows you to keep both the original and award rocket launcher.
