@Kazed the main base heroes are. Not the new ones coming out. Same as the regular classes skins. Luckily for me, I didnt pay for anything solo movie related so i have 450,000 credits. Happy playing.
@@danielsmid3777 The character itself was already hard to animate, going a bit further and adding a cape wouldn't be *that* hard but it would show them making the extra effort. Which would arguably help cover for their early mistakes a bit more. Also the *movie* and TV show don't really define the character for the actual fans, not only because they are cringy and poor in execution but also because the fans themselves are the ones who built a lot of this character. Same with a lot of things in the SW universe, but that are now labeled 'legends' and pushed aside in favor of profit. If they do add the cape however, it would be pretty based if they added the completely white one as an additional reference to the clone wars miniseries. (there are voice lines already referencing it)
He doesn't fight in his cloak though. Although I do admit it'd be great if they added it in later, Maybe it'll be the other appearance the spoke about?
I see a lot of comments talking about how General Grievous has the High Ground and I have the Low Ground. I should remind you, however, that I killed Grievous from the Low Ground. ;-)

Problems with Grievous: - Thrust Surge misses a lot. - Unrelenting Advance is pretty much useless. Doesn't block half the time, too slow and difficult to turn. -When Grievous is pushed or knocked down with an ability active, the ability doesn't cancel and when Grievous stands back up he can't block, dodge, run or attack until the duration of the ability ends. - Claw Rush cancels at random times. - Other people can't see Grievous do his Unrelenting Advance ability animation.

@@mechcannon Actually that was why the Jedi and Sith were so adept at blocking the bolts. They used their Precognition to sense where the bolts would hit and use that to deflect and reflect blaster bolts. But as seen in the Battle of Geonosis and during Order 66, this ability could be overwhelmed and it also wasn't useful against anything larger than a Blaster Bolt. However to counter Dst Rich8's thing, the problem here is that it's straight up noted that General Grievous should at least be _blocking_ the Blaster Bolts and when facing other Saber users at least block their attacks, as this was one of Greivous' most deadly maneuvers against the Jedi as it took careful timing and masterful levels of skill to interrupt the rapidly spinning blades without getting your saber thrown to the side by the force of the spinning blades. In-game it's not even blocking the bullets, its damage is pathetically weak, and it doesn't block other saber users _at all._
You can see the changes in Denis's voice in the community updates from this one to the droideka one. He has built up alot more confidence since this update. He should be more confident, he and his team took a dying game and gave it a playerbase again.

STAR WARS - the franchise - is better than Fortnite but the makers of Fortnite have handedly shown EA how it's done in terms if turnout, interactions & compelling fun gameplay. EA sucks. They deserve to lose the SW license.

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking about. But it is NOT a pay to win game anymore! They changed their completely progression system and added a lot of new content, like new modes, maps, heroes and so on. They officially announced a lot of new content coming in these last months of 2018 AND in the new year! Just for informing you: They announced/ implemented in the game this following requested Clone Wars content: General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, Anakin Skywalker, Geonosis, Conquest, new vehicles (like AT-TE‘s, Staps or barc speeders), lots of different clone legions like 501st or 212th and last but not least amazing hero appearances. This was just the announced content so far, but they will support the game in 2019, as well! What I really want to say is, that the developers heard the Community and that this game really deserves more attention. The playerbase is huge in Battlefront 2, but I‘m writing this comment, because from now on to Black Friday there is a huge sale on Battlefront 2. It just costs round about 10 bucks and trust me it’s definitely worth it! While all that is true, if EA really respected the community it would not have made such a ludicrously pay-to-win game in the first place. It only removed the P2W crap because they were being flayed alive by the community and needed to make a gesture of so-called "good will". They're not good guys listening to the community, they just got caught red-handed and attempted to backpedal. Improvements or not, EA does not deserve to make any money off this game.

Not even close. EA are still scummy. Pay attention to when they say they’re gonna release something, and when they ACTUALLY do. They say grievous was gonna come out in October, and BARELY make the month to squeeze him in. Now obi wan and anakin have been shifted to November and February respectively. They are lazy, cheap, and a waste of money.

You need to fix the lightsaber combat so you can swing, and still control your characters movement. Also, where is standard conquest mode, the main mode of the original Battlefront games is still missing. Also, where are the Instant Actions (now Arcade) playlists?

Everytime grievous had to fight in the movies and clone wars they had to remove his cape in order for him to attack because it was hell to animate, same for a video game too

WillFanofMany I know but should we really sacrifice fun and cosmetic for realism? It could stay behind him as he cuts through everything in front of him. A few clips are a small price to pay to have more cosmetics in your game. How many does Grevious have? It’s laughable. And also I know they had rights issues but that doesn’t excuse the fact that there’s nothing here. If it were an exam, they barely made it a passing grade of 50%, rights issues doesn’t change that, and doesn’t give enough reason to sympathize with DICE cause they haven’t delivered anything. Have they come onto the microphone and said: “we’re sorry that we’ve delivered nothing for Clone Wars, we’ve had issues with securing the rights to add content and such has hindered our ability to deliver as much of the clone wars we can as possible.” Cause I haven’t seen it. From my point of view, something, and I don’t care what it is, is hindering DICE from making a full and worth game, for Star Wars fans and that ‘something’ has to be blamed for everything. The other hand is that DICE is lazy, and considering their history, I really don’t want to believe that. Taking on the Star Wars license is no simple task, and whoever had the idea of taking it had to understand that they can’t just make clones, droids and a couple of heroes and maps, they need to flesh out so much so it can be called Star Wars, and at least, for the love of god, have Anakin, Obi Wan, Grevious and Dooku at launch. If you can’t do that, why even try? They should’ve secured rights to as much under the sun as possible before begging mercy from the community Of STAR WARS, one of the biggest universes in media, capable of so much. Why even try, if you’re not going to deliver something that is on the caliber of, not just Star Wars, but the clone wars, the resistance, AND the rebels? Die haben komplett verkakt seit sem update hab ich inet probleme. Und gute patchnotes sind das auch nicht, die haben die ganzen buggs und ubfucks wie zb dass die blendgranate desoffiziers 5 sekunden lang blendet und dir jeden helden nimmt nicht raus gemacht bzw generft

Professor Hobo this should’ve been at launch! Grevious and Dooku are main villains in the clone wars and movies and Anakin and Obi Wan are the main protagonists. They should not be DLC, they should be base game content. DLC should be bounty hunters like Aurra Sing or Cad Bane, or Amadala or Ahsoka!

jacob hamilton its already been confirmed that they are playable. The seperatists have the spider walker and the clones can use the AT-TE. And the coolest thing is that its not on rails! You can control the vehicle and take it wherever you want.
So for a while ago I noticed that grievous in BF2 uses Anakin and obi-wan’s lightsabers as well as two custom ones. I assumed that, as he has four lightsabers, this was just to save time and effort, which is understandable. What I didn’t get though was why he has obi-wan’s lightsaber in one of his bottom hands, as it will always be on display unlike the top two which only appear for 2 of his abilities, and are hard to see. Then, I saw a picture of Grievous the other day from ROTS, using Anakin’s and Obi-Wan’s lightsabers. As it turns out, it was Lucasfilm back in 2005 who had cut some corners, meanwhile you guys at DICE were paying a ton of attention. Hats off to you guys.
This looks awesome finally, let's hope it's a good start for tons of content next year (after Ani and Dooku) The only disappointment (apart from the lack of a cape) is that I can't see any normal attack with 4 arms... I mean you see 4 arms for 1 sec for the thrust ability and for longer but with only 2 moving for the other one, that's like a missed opportunity to make him truly badass (it could work like some combo attack, like Rey's kick and similar and would have added a lot)

I love how the team added the first lines of General Grevious in the micro series. “Make peace with the force now for this is your final hour!” You have no idea how happy I was to just find this line in game. Thanks Dice for showing that you love all Star Wars even the now legends add on. If only you can improve on the narrative of Empire.
