Just played the 1st level and I am already impressed with the work Aspyr has done to improve the game. I'd be brave to say that it's just better than the original on the console. I think Aspyr should focus more on singleplayer Star Wars games than the multiplayer as its more simple to make. Next they should do Episode 3 or try bringing Rogue Squadron trilogy to all platforms.
@@bransolo9469 episode 3 would be dope. I was just playing it not that long ago on an Xbox one I forgot I had and I forgot how fun it was. Gameplay was ahead of its time, the combat has a GoW vibe to it that could be made smoother with even just better camera control
@@sylaselliott6630 yh I loved playing it on the ps2. The one thing aspyr should do for that game is to have us change the skin on the 2 player duel. Image player 1 playing as sith grievous vs light side vader and vice verser.
I'd definitely agree with an Episode 3 game remaster like others are saying, even if i have it through backwards compatibility anyway. I think the Force Unleashed games, especially the first one could also benefit well from a facelift.
I just hope there's a patch where we can choose to remap the controls to whichever buttons we see fit. Like 80% of games do that now, and this seems dated to not have that as an options in modern games.
The biggest issue with BFCC was that it was an online multiplayer game, something Aspyr had never done before, it has nothing to do with how old the game is.
@@grannytoes7221 You clearly don't understand how game design works, fuck up one thing on one end and you can wind up fucking up the entire project in the long run, which is what happened. Aspyr fucked up the multiplayer, hard, and that resulted in the rest of the product going to pot in the process because they've never designed a multiplayer game before, which is what happened, they messed up something so major with the multiplayer aspect it affected the rest of the game.
It took them months to even fix local split screen with 2 controllers. They announced BFCC 1 month before release. This wasn’t a long anticipated release where they were locked into a schedule, it was a surprise announcement that gave them far more flexibility during development yet they still released a mess. This was an obvious cash grab
I'm pretty excited for the new controls! My hands can't handle spamming the square button like in the the og version lolol. I will now be able to finish this game. Good video btw!
I did play this game in my childhood and very recently (before the remaster came out). Im very disappointed that they removed the amazing intro following Jango’s take over of the Lucas art logo, I was so used to it still sends chivers down my spine every time I see it, sadly that wasn’t included in the game and just cuts to the Spayr logo. I don’t see any difference in the cutscenes when they show up, I’m not saying this in a bad way, just talks about how good they looked way back, but it’s just strange there’s little difference. Stuff I definitely liked: Free aiming (or how the game calls it first person mode), in the original game every time you free aimed the game would stop you on your tracks, meaning that you had to take the shots just to look up or down, this still happens on the Legacy control option. Scanning for bounties: they made much easier to scan in the new version, and when you use the modern version of controls, because the game slows down entirely (not just the enemies but also the player) allowing you to dodge incoming blaster fire while searching the area for bounties. Controls: As mentioned before, there’s gameplay differences when choosing either Legacy or Modern controls, for example, if you use modern controls you lose the ability to canon jump (the jump that happens when locked on to an enemy), you can’t use it while not in combat (you have to use three fingers to do it now) but you gain a the ability to move around while free aiming. While using the Legacy controls, the player can’t move around while free aiming, but has the ability to canon jump freely making it easier to get to higher sections (in conjunction with the jet pack). Overall I like the new version a lot, even more than the original, but I wish they hadn’t removed that beautiful intro of the game.
Thank you for showing all of the menu options. Went to 4 other review videos that skipped this and all I wanted to know was if it this game had Invert/flip Y Camera Axis as not having that simple option makes games litterally unplayable for me. This was the only video review that covered it. Thank you!
Having the new camera and controls is a Godsend. Legitimately fixed the biggest issues of the original in my opinion. Super happy with it! Edit: also someone probably said but, using cheats will not unlock the Boba Fett skin, you do have to play through and get it that way.
Well I’m glad aspyr finally redeemed themselves after Star Wars battlefront classic collection hopefully bounty hunters and battlefront classic collection get a physical edition
I remember getting Star Wars bounty Hunter in 2015 with the PlayStation 4 when I got it had a code They had several stars game star wars racer Ravenge and Jedi starfighter and super Star Wars Star Wars bounty Hunter technically it was out but you had to have a special bundle get those games at the time.
Yea i used cheats at well since i wanted to get straight to boba skin ive beat the game alrdy plenty of times, and yea the skins not popping up for me either
If I LOVEEEEEE Star Wars Jedi games from respawn ¿do u guys think Bounty Hunter is gonna like me? I know they are completely different style of games but I mean ¿is the game good? Good story? Gameplay?
I gotta ask AZZATRU, how is the bounty system in the game (collecting bounties)? Is it better than the original in any way (as in does it have easier ways to track or find the bounties in levels)? Or still the same as it was before?
@@A7ZATRU sorry for another question but would you say the game is as difficult as it was before. I know the new controls help make things easier but its just something I would like to know. Thanks
@@A7ZATRU The game's difficulty ramps up the more you proceed in the campaign, with the true difficulty spikes being in the later levels, particularly the Tatooine levels. Those are the ones that will absolutely test your skills in the game, so try out those levels to see how hard it can really be.
i have not as i had to make a new account to access the game sadly, but given the low specs required and that it is steam deck verified, it should be fine :)
For the sake of game preservation I'm happy they kept the original sounds. It's one thing to add a few features, but it's entirely different to change or replace aspects of the original.
@@thomasbalzer3179 eh I mean even if they fixed it the cutscenes still have the old sound so it would probably be more annoying tbh seeing change from cutscene to gameplay
@@A7ZATRU How are a series of films specifically made for children that are not even mentally mature "much more than that"? What's next, the Bible is real?
Yet like every port they managed to f up the mouse sensitivity. Vertical being 3 times the speed as horizontal for some dumbass reason. Anybody have a fix for that?
