@@brettonfett it's cheaper than all of the Kenner vintage mini-rigs on the secondary market. LOL! So, that's a good deal. Another channel calls it "plastic crack." Ha!
Loving the intros. You have more cups than the Cantina 😂😂, and that's saying something!!! Great video as always Brett 👍 Make me laugh every time I watch them. Hope you and family had a great weekend away 👍
Loved the intro......genius, lol. Well done for mentioning the bandstand, not many people would have held their hands up. I'm in the thinking of getting 2 Cantinas, one of each. I need to convince Georgie, lol.......if not, I will have to make do with one. Great video.
Thanks so much Stu! Good luck with convincing Georgie, I may have to go for the “ask forgiveness rather than permission” route to order a second one, lol.
Lol sorry not sorry! If you can afford to back it just go ahead and back it, you can always sell it for more than you paid if you change your mind later. Do it! 😂
I just went ahead and backed 2 Deluxe versions. When I sell the second one ( with or without figures ) , I'm sure the Deluxe version will be in higher demand because you can complete the entire bar . And , who isn't going to want that awesome space-croc head mount on the wall ? ! Also , I believe most people who buy 2 will choose the standard version for the second one they back , to save the extra hundrad credits. So , there will probably be plenty of those out there for those who didn't back it , but would like a set without figures for as cheap as possible. I bought the Stan Solo speeder about a year ago , and still haven't even opened it. The box is too nice ! 😅 Keep the great videos coming. And if you haven't already , how about throwing a short up on RU-vid and FB , reminding viewers to back the bar , and that they won't get charged till July 9th. Happy collecting , my dude !
Sounds like a plan. I have a feeling there will be a lot of FOMO after this thing comes out and you will have no problem selling an extra on the secondary market. Great idea about the Short, I will do one of those. Thanks for watching!
I backed it and don't have any of the Catina figures, cus honestly of any of the playsets, this one works with any figure from any era. Can have a bunch of imperial officers at one end of the bar, group of bounty hunters on other side, group of rebel pilots sitting around a table, few jedi walking around...
I bought 2 Cantina Bar for $499.99. I wish it had LED, but it is what it is, but I'm still excited that I'm going to be able to put my Cantina aliens in the Cantina Bar... I'm just excited that finally, we are getting the classic Cantina Bar.. we could put retro Aliens or the vintage Aliens 👽
Aww sorry to hear that. Hope it works out that you can get one someday. Sucks that these dream projects can’t be made a little more affordable and more accessible but it is what it is unfortunately.
lol yeah I’m leaning towards doing the same thing. Gotta have those figures on cardback and loose and maybe I can help somebody out that just wants the playset and doesn’t care so much about the exclusive figures.
Brett, I just looked at Stan Solo's Etsy shop, and the vehicle looks like it opens at a lower part also, not just the hatch, so maybe bigger fit in easier. 💪🤔
Not caving in and overspending for a lackluster Cantina Set. I'm only getting the figures of the Tonnika sisters, the four arm conehead alien, and the wolfman when they'll hit Ebay next year.
Great vid! Just so you know…. That U9000 speeder has two opening hinges: the one for the top hatch and another that allows the entire top half of the sphere to open for better access to the interior space. Have fun with your Cantina! 😊
Oh God I bought that Cantina Band 6 pack just in case it funds and I have to say I don't like the - don't know what to call it - thigh mold, crotch mold ? - I knew there was no band stand so it seemed like a no brainer purchase and that it would fit well into the Haslabs Cantina if it got backed but the midriff just looks like some 1970s space alien mold which should have shiny screws showing on it. Maybe I'll stick with my POFT2 Cantina guys and leave the TVC one in the box?
I know a little bit what you mean, but they don't bother me that much, I still like them better than the POTF2 ones personally but hey it's whatever you like best. I'm sure you could find a fellow collector missing that TVC pack that would buy it off you if you wanted to sell it. Thanks for watching!
A nice set & I'll back it because nothing better from Hasbro will come along, but I wish there was more weathering on the walls & accessories and the unfinished sides of the walls were filled in - this place looks too clean. While I understand that the band was not on the original set, I still think some creative liberties should have been made for a more specific space for the band. And I think the "figures for tiers" is holding this one back; lighting should have been a tier, maybe even a band stage, Chalmun's office; the figures will be released at retail.
I’m with you on the walls looking too clean, but I think there is a slight chance they could add some weathering. The initial images the Ghost were very clean and later on they updated it with a lot more weathering. Meant to discuss that on my video and forgot. Lighting as a tier would’ve been good idea I think. Greedo will definitely be released at retail regardless if we reach the stretch goal for him but I’m not 100% convinced Nabrun and Arleil will if their stretch goals are not reached. I don’t think Wuher and the Tonnikas will ever go to retail whether the HasLab backs or not. Thanks for watching!
Check my head on this. Instead of getting the deluxe and base for the 2nd figure. Why not just get deluxe. Keep figs on card. Wait until they release them on different cardback. (You know they will) buy 2 of those. 1 loose one on THAT cardback. Save much money....if they don't release them...then scream and open the card or not. 😅
What you’re suggesting makes perfect sense if you believe Hasbro will make Wuher and the Tonnikas in the main line after saying they are exclusive figures to this HasLab, not “exclusive versions of the figures” like they said about the Ghost crew figures but exclusive figures with no plans to be produced again. My personal opinion is that Hasbro believes those characters would be pegwarmers as mainline figures and that’s why they are only making them for the cantina. So I do believe they will stick to their word on those 3 figures. So if I believe that to be the case then to me it makes sense to pay $400 to get the figures and then sell the playset to recoup some of my money rather than to pay $100-$200 per figure in the aftermarket. Again I could be totally wrong but if I am then all I have to do is sell my $400 extra HasLab for like $500 and use that profit I made to go buy the “exclusive figures” Hasbro mislead us about.
@brettonfett I appreciate the dialectic Brett. I think what I heard from other tubers is that the cardback will be exclusive. Wuher as a pegwarmr probably. The sisters very unlikely. The history and build up on them is epic. They will definitely come out in main on different cardback. But saying that. The exclusive sisters cardback is what will likely draw funds on secondary. And does support your point on getting the 2 sets! Ugh. What if haslab overestimated backing and it doesn't even make it! Can't be! Shit. Now I have to go somewhere and think 🤔 BTW Coolio channel
@@JMECO73 yeah the Greedo Nubran and Arleil figures are only cardback exclusives whereas Wuher and the Tonnikas are exclusive figures all around. Yeah not an easy decision if you are carded collector.
I'd have to stumble upon a lot of money to actually back this. I doubt it backs at all and for sure not past the Sisters pack ins. Such a bad set for HasLab. Reprints should stay as mainline honestly.
I hear ya about the price. It’s a lot of money to ask for a playset. But just curious why do you think it is a bad set? Is that based purely on the price or just in general you think it is a bad set? Also, just to clarify, when you say “reprints should stay as mainline” are you saying figures that are going to be mainline (like Greedo) should not be included in the HasLab? I think that’s what you mean (and if so I agree) but not 100% sure. Thanks for watching!
@@Tim85-y2q well I think we definitely need a new and improved Greedo figure but I do agree that it was a wasted slot and Greedo should have just been a mainline release only.
It’s just 200 dollars too much. This coming from a guy who bought the 250 dollar Jabba throne (you scored on that price.) But… I was kinda remorseful after that purchase. I was thinking “Man. I think I paid too much.” Don’t get me wrong it’s cool, but they should have included all those figures. Make the tiers “functionality”. Like lights. If this were 300 for the deluxe it would be a no brainer, but it’s not. You’re close to 600 after shipping, and taxes. It kinda reminds me of that Tantive (I know I didn’t spell it right) 5 hallway. You’re essentially paying for 5 hallways, a bar, and door entrance. I hope we get that Haul Craft from Andor someday.
Personally, I think if you really pay close attention to the finite details of this thing and the overall size and modularity the value is a lot closer than being $200 off, but I agree it is expensive and somewhat overpriced. But I think you have to ask yourself whether or not it is a dream diorama. And, if so, the next question is how much would I have to pay to commission someone to make me a custom set this good? I think it would be well over what Hasbro is charging to do that. Maybe that’s not a fair way of looking at it but it is what it is since there is no way a company like Hasbro is going to just make something like this for retail. Thanks for watching!
Yeah you might be right, although at this point I think it may actually pick up a ton of momentum toward the end and hit 11,000, but don’t see it going much higher than that. Either way it will be pretty rare stuff.
Not worth backing unless you already own the majority of figures to populate it. The cost is to high for a molded plastic diorama, and most of the figures are no longer being produced. If you want them, good luck bidding on them inside eBay at overly inflated prices. In such cases it’s not unrealistic to spend well over 1 thousand total for a simple play set. HasLab needs to stick with vehicles. They always sell and don’t require a truck load of figures to go with it.
That’s a valid a point, although you could populate it with any kind of Star Wars figures since that cantina spans multiple Star Wars timelines (for example it is in The Mandalorian series). Doesn’t have to be the exact aliens from A New Hope. But yeah I get it, if I didn’t already acquire all those figures and was worried I would not be able to ever get them it would be a much tougher decision for me to back.
Yes but realistically most of those in the target market for an item like this already have the figures they need. This is the capstone to an existing collection not the starting point for a new one.
@@Tim85-y2q you could be right or Momaw Nadon could be the first of many cantina aliens Hasbro plans on remaking in TVC to be released over the next several years (similar to how we were still getting barge/skiff figures released years after those vehicle releases).
