Yeah, Kelly Marie Tran for instance did nothing wrong yet she got bullied for playing Rose in The Last Jedi, still disgusts me that people actually did that.
you know its edited that way to make it seem like that. None of them give a shit, they probably just look at they own performance and their wallet and are happy.
"somehow, palpatine returned" is the best acted moment of the shitlogy cos both Oscar Isaac the actor and Poe Dameron the character literally cannot believe what fuck they are uttering
but how would he even know how Palpatine returned? and isn't that something Palpatine hinted at somewhere in the "first three" movies? talking to Anakin he had mentioned something about a Sith so powerful that he could bring back the dead?... but to my point.. how would Poe even know how this happened? the line seems like a reasonable one I think
@@LexBundy the Sith that Palpatine was referring to was his master and he killed him before he could figure anything out. I’m pretty sure in that moment palpatine was just trying to manipulate anakin and he had no way or no intention of actually trying to bring someone back from the dead. The line is fine in the context of the character but it just sounds so stupid because of how cheap of a cop out it was.
@@LexBundywell Palpatine himself used the force to speak to the entire galaxy. It wasn't in the movie of course, just talked about in the opening. You can hear the speech tho. It was in a Fortnite event....
It’s crazy to see how different this response was to the Avengers franchise where the actors had no hesitation saying they cried because Infinity War or Endgame gripped them so much

I went to his panel at Awesomecon 2018, and found out he’s a legit nerd who knows his shit. No shit, he was answering deep pulls from the Gundam series and other Mecha anime from audience members, and talking about how he tried to incorporate that knowledge into Pacific Rim. I love the actor, but I have that clip on my favorites lol it's brought me a lot of joy. When he looks down right before saying it, I imagine he's looking at the sack of money he got for showing up that day, just to motivate himself 😂😂😂
They didn't even bother to create a reason for the return of a character who was definitely killed...and didn't even have the ingenuity to create a new character despite having 37 years to do so. Tells you how much respect they have for their audience.
Wonder how much they paid him just to show up in RoS? Like how much money was put in his bank account for the 30 seconds of screentime where he played a hallucination where Kylo forgave himself for his own evil actions?
He isn't a clone or a stormtroopers so that doesnt count. And no, the retcon of the prequels don't count either, in the original trilogy he was just a guy
By failing to turn Poe Dameron into the new Han Solo, they turned Oscar Isaac into the new Harrison Ford. I mean, they all kind of have that, but his and John Boyega especially.
Black White well damn I mean both the actors were trying to get a relationship between finn and poe and the Disney overlords were like UM. IS THAT GAYNESS I SEE? NOT IN MY CHRISTIAN MINECRAFT SERVERS WE HAVE TO MAKE MONEY IN CHINA AND THEY HATE THE GAY.

Just gotta say. Didn't like the movies. But mad respect to the actors and actresses. I think they play very well. It was just the the plot and the writing. My opinion of course
Just like in the prequels, if you think that the characters or the plots suck you should Turn all of your disappointment, disatifsaction and hate towards the writers, directors and producers, not the actors
The actors and actresses would agree with you about the quality of these movies. This video and other videos about them being interviewed about The ST is proof of that.
More of a JJ Abrams thing. He basically made this film in a vacuum and didn’t work with the story group, who’s job it is to make sure contradictions like that don’t happen.
Can you imagine the sit down signing 14 paged contract then getting to page 9 and disney making you initial your name several times saying " under NO circumstances will you ever have an negative opinion about the movie, the production, the script, or our politics "
If you'd like to be extra sad, please enjoy this memory of John Boyega looking as legitimately excited as I'm sure most of us were for Episode VII. Then you can return to him in this video.
Rose Tico was actually a pretty good character. She answers questions about the cost of resistance and at least in a small way exposes Finn to Class Struggle.
Revan Amell Rose Tico is more like a classic Star Trek character than a Star Wars character, at least going by the films 🤦🏻 I wish Trek had gotten her instead because she’s so great and that franchise needs some serious uplift
Revan Amell - Finn was forced into becoming a child soldier. Having Rose try to explain to him true victims of war was a completely tone deaf concept. The entire casino planet plot line was retarded.
You don't need to have a plan to make a good franchise, the original star wars trilogy was unplanned. It would be a good start though not to destroy all the aspirations of the movies that came before it with every new release however
V-Rex Finn should've been, like for one he has been trained to fight against Jedi and other lightsaber opponents, you'd think he'd be able to use one better than Rey who somehow managed to learn to use one

@@user-gr5cp9om5j I think so, but notice how his role in said series is of a side character even less important than Fin. If he ever lands another protagonist role, it will be in smaller indie movies, or movies not related to Disney at all. I'm grateful Adam driver, Oscar Isaac, and John Boyaga have collectively agreed not to return in Star Wars after how badly they and their characters were treated. Disney don't deserve them.

I love that John Boyega's *"they've been using them since the clone wars!"* Is the most replayed party of this video. You know you're in trouble when the actors know more about the franchise than the writers.
Honestly I used to think the actors were really bad, because of how terribly they performed on this movie but… seeing this I can tell they were probably just disappointed and tired of it and trying to get it over with. Props to you guys for sticking with it, and fire everyone who had a hand in writing/producing.
They had absolutely no plan for these movies. JJ had to lay the groundwork for a brand new trilogy, which just left fans with a lot of questions. Rian Johnson comes in, takes the established lore and tosses it in a blender with feminist garbage. They kill off the main villian before we knew anything about him, and it was a pretty lazy one at that. Than, when Disney sees just how bad the Last Jedi was, they bring JJ back. And what's his plan to save this trilogy? Bring back Palpatine! Literally one of the dumbest, illogical decisions in story telling. They had to bring him back to get people hyped for the last film, and he was written badly. First he wants Kylo to kill Rey, but at the end he's all like "Oh I wanted you to come to me, that was part of my plan all along. Kill me now so that I can possess your body!". Why the hell would he even say that? But than he decides to drain their force energy to become powerful again. What was his plan? And In all the continuity Disney has established, there is nothing that explains how Palps returned. Nothing. Not even in the book, which was supposed to tie up all the loose ends. There is not a single page soley about Palpatine, but the writers could afford to tell us what's in Maz Kanata's pouch instead of how she got Anakin's lightsaber.
Honestly, the cast is amazing. If the Sequel Trilogy were completely remade with a better writer and director, I would still keep the cast exactly as it was.
@@mazrimtaim3107 I don't understand why Disney decided to make all the legends continuity non-canon. They had over 30 years of story writing and source material to work with, and they decided to throw that out the window and make up their own shit. All they had to do was make a trilogy based off the novels and comics set after RotJ, and everything would be fine. Instead, they just take a few things from it, like Kylo Ren being their version of Ben Skywalker, Luke's son. In the end, we have a trilogy that had so much potential, but all that was wasted due to poor planning and bad story telling.
You can't blame him, he had a mixed start (initially he was going to be killed earlier in TFA), then Rian Johnson gave him an arc in TLJ, and pretty much was backup support for TROS. This entire trilogy was a waste from the start.
Apparently Harrison warned them about being in Star Wars but they didn't listen which makes the line at 0:46 so much more impactful. Glad he's in Marvel now to have another big franchise, really hope Daisy gets that treatment
The thing that does bum me out at the end of the day is, they’re a legitimately likable cast that play off each other well. If the characters were well written and the story was better, these movies would be a lot of fun to watch.
I don't know why the fuck they didn't have Jon Favreau direct and Dave Filoni produce after what we've seen from Mandalorian... live action SW done right!
Nah, the first one honestly isn’t so bad if u think about what it does. It’s just a jumping off point for new fans and a touch base for old fans. I don’t think that that s done on purpose tho, I think it’s cause JJ is unimaginative and relies too heavily on audience nostalgia. The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars movie to date tho, it’s so well written and basically every shot something shows me how much Rian loved and cared about the Star Wars universe. TROS was so so so so awful it recontextualized everything and made the series so bland in doing so.
They did all these actors dirty. Imagine being so excited to join a huge iconic movie series only to get a lackluster story and cliche character tropes. Can we just have a do over with the same cast?
Of all my problems with the movies, the actors they got to play them was not among them. I actually think they did a decent job, considering the inconsistent directing and the poor plot and script
@@nms7872 SW was cheezy because of the era it was made. Now, since we're mostly accustomed to modern archetypes, hearing that line doesn't fit for a new generation of Star Wars fans.
John Boyaga and his reference to the Clone Wars makes me smile and also cry. I loooooved him in these movies and I am so sad that they shafted his arc and character. He had so much potential and he’s a great actor. The writers and directors sole mission was “don’t be the prequels” when it should have been “let’s learn from what the prequels did right and what they did wrong.”
Bro I love how in the first interview with Oscar Issac, how that beginning he’s literally trying to stay awake and focus on whatever hint of passion he has for the films. It’s funny, but he was just done at that moment and was holding in his hatred for the sequels.
@@christiansmith3053 I'd say Kylo had one. Rey maybe, depending on your definition of an arc. Poe stayed basically the same. Finn had the start of an arc at first and then just kind of fell flat.
"tHey fLy NaO!" "Maybe it's the first time theyve used them?!" "Theyve been using them since the Clone Wars!" Ladies and gentlemen apparently the script writer didnt realize that Jetpacks were not a new invention. Apparently none of the cast did. Except Boyega.
That entire moment in the film is just so slapstick and annoying. Star Wars has always been camp and tongue-in-cheek, but when camp becomes too self aware it just becomes parody
The problem lies in the director, producers and the writers. You can't tell or correct them anything cause they take any criticism personally and rage out.
Well he never watched the movie from what I heard. He apparently does not like watching himself on screen, even walking out of an interview when they tried showing him a clip of a movie he was in. He was lucky. He didn't have to worry about purging this film from his memory like the rest of us.
But I would still take the prequel trilogy over these last couple of movies. Better choreography, plot, actors. Don't get me wrong the actors in the sequel trilogy aren't bad at all. Infact they are really good and put in effort. And the only thing that I feel like that held the prequels back was the scripts at some points. If you look back at the bloopers and deleted scenes the interactions and dialogue were better than the final cut. The sequel trilogy however had god awful plot, treated past characters and currents characters like crap and just ditched a lot of characters that had potential. Terrible choreography that led to lack luster and boring battles. However if you still like the sequel trilogy, that's your opinion that you are entitled to and that's ok. Just like how you may hate the prequels but I personally like them. You do you
