she sounded so mad....its better than luke just killing him....right?...thats cliche and makes no sense with the character or themes...the point of the scene is the vader moment willing to get hurt while on fumes for his son throwing away years of pain mistakes and hard work love brought him to the light ....yes girl its called storytelling it doesn't matter that palps died in such a pathetic way..he was cocky he thought he could see the future that luke would go dark and join...luke changed the vision he had through courage and the darkside of the force thus clouded palps so he got mad with anger fear so he tried to kill him but didn't realize until it was too late that vader would stop him he tried to shock vader but not enough as he was willing to die to finish the job the way only he could since its his story
Crazy thing, in the remastered scene, they actually ask the same actress who played the Twilek dancer in Jabba's Palace to reprise her role for the modified scene, and she did ! She didn't change much too, which is amazing ! Results aside, it's still a good thing to do !
also hayden christensen (young anakin) was the one who was shown in the last scene, because that anakin was considered the good anakin before the emperor twisted him into the dark side
As someone who only saw the clone wars as a kid before seeing the original, the reveal that Anakin was Luke’s father was a bigger surprise to me than the iconic “I am you father” scene. Because I denied the hints throughout the clones wars until I saw the original trilogy, and it blew my little mind.

I can confirm Chris's comment on when Rana wears the Leia oufit, don't worry we'll break the million easy edit: DID SURAJ JUST SAY CLONE WARS? Dude, you just started something...and you have no idea
@Jonsin 1459 If you actually watch Clone wars you know its not JUST for kids, the storys are so good and has some serious dark stuff in it. Some arcs will ofc be more childish then other. Clone wars is better than some sw movies in my opinion. Ik that the SW community are very toxic, because people love to hate and say unnecessary things. Why in the hell does that imply that people who watch clone wars are freaky??? W r o n g was meant as a joke, obviously you have ur own opinion.
Jonsin 1459 To call the Star Wars community toxic while you yourself are being toxic...is hypocritical. And at the same time, ironically proving your point. You are freaky.
@@DrippyIska His opinion is worthless. It's based on ignorant generalization of a fandom numbering in the 10's of millions. Worthless is much more fitting then wrong.
It still blows my mind that, to Luke, the Emperor wasn't some corrupt political leader (which is what the Rebellion saw him as), he was the living representation of the evil that had corrupted his father. Everyone eventually has to deal with the faults of their parents, and it's hard for most people to overcome those faults, much less overcome them AND save your parent from them. Also the Rancor keeper's name is Malakili.
Gotta love a beautifully written, poignant comment about the emotional motivations and complicated dynamics at play, ended with "and oh yea dat guy name ted"
its hard to understand but the darkside of the force basically makes you fall under palps spell if he really needs you to it feels like just low key without ever really telling us this he can influence you to his side and luke being able to be be weak willed and fall for it due to him not having fear in his heart and not being a slave to his emotions like his father is how he did it and convinced his dad to rescue him...anakin at that very moment escaped the evil grasp too thanks to his son...this is clearly lost on many idiots like these females who think luke should just give into anger and kill them both..they don't get how palps or the dakside works...you lose it at that moment you lose yourself
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain You're completely wrong. The Emperor is not the source of evil. He's a power-thirsty politician and a Sith Lord. That's it. I hate Disney for ruining Star Wars to most people who don't understand that none of the Disney BS makes any sense if we think from the point of George Lucas's vision. Emperor died permanently in Episode 6. He doesn't "embody all the Sith that came before him". That's just dumb hate-fiction from hack Disney writers who don't like Star Wars anyway.

Last detail...if you look at the outfit of Luke Skywalker, in each movie it change for a darker color, from white in New Hope, to gray in Empire, to black in Jedi, showing a progression in character...However, in the end, you can clearly see under his black clothes, white clothes, meaning outside look didn't match what he really is inside...It's kinda the same in The Last Jedi, going from lighter color, to a darker when he is confronted by Rey and Chewbacca, Darker before Rey go, to a lighter when he confront Kylo...The use of lighting is also important in this movie...the scene when Darth Vader is taunting Luke about his sister, you see Luke's face is in both light and darkness, showing the real conflict...Lots of fun detail this way !
I think you’re stretching a little by adding the Last Jedi scene into this consideration. Virtually nothing about TLJ fits with the character of Luke Skywalker, including his clothing metaphors lol

The man crying over the rancor apparently had this big backstory in the books where he was sad the rancor was being mistreated and he was planning to whisk it away to a better life-and then it dies right as he was about to.
32:27 Damn, never really paid attention to how gigantic that explosion is. Either the empire stores fuel in their satellite dishes or the rebels have pocket MOABS and should not be having any trouble with the empire
In a behind the scenes video, one of the SF workers talked about how they needed more trees for the models shots of Endor. They went and found a hobby store that had model train scale trees, but they didn't have the budget to buy what they needed. They asked if they could 'rent' them and return them after the movie. The store agreed and got a deposit. When they set off the generator explosion, it was WAY bigger than they meant it to be, scorching all of the trees they got. They did not get their deposit back.
The scene when Luke finally puts Vader on defense, giving into his fear and anger. Those dark silhouettes, the bright lightsabers flashing in the dark, all elevated to another dimension by the absolutely magnificent score by John Williams. One of the best scenes in movie history.
@Jonsin 1459 the clone wars is actually some of, if not, the best SW content out there, it starts out pretty kiddy but really does a good job of fleshing out a lot of the characters and themes that rung kinda hollow in the prequels. It’s also set up a lot of the stuff that’s going on in the mandalorian seeing as the creator of TCW and Rebels is helping write that show too now. Overall SW has a universal appeal to everyone because it’s meant to have something for kids and adults. You should never deny yourself the enjoyment of something just because it’s for kids, I think great writing can communicate it’s message on all levels and it takes a skilled hand to make big stories and themes digestible for kids. I’m just saying you should give something a proper go before shooting it down, you don’t know what you could be missing out on!
i wish the girls understood the reason harrison ford says he won't get in the way is called character development...his response is why he gets his girl in the end...if he was like clingy she would realize he has not changed at all..instead they just call him dumb and see it was padding and don't want to accept what he said as facts..they want all men to be obsessed with the woman they love to the point of competing for her despite her liking someone else..thats cringe ...i like how he turns away smiles when he learns this..he is not thinking about kissing her but about luke he is like thats so cool hes your bro...i gotta let him know...
YOU NEED TO WATCH CLONE WARS. It’s my favorite part of the star wars universe and gives so much more meaning and depth to the prequels. Plus the new season is streaming now on disney plus. I guarantee u will love it. The first 2 seasons seem more child like but as it goes on the stories mature and it is magical.
and even the first two have some pretty amazing arcs and episodes, peace keepers and 2nd Battle of Geonosis, Rookies and whatnot. Clone Wars is just the fuckign Goat^^

If Suraj was talking about the “Wookie prisoner trick” referenced in Lost that’s actually from Episode IV: A New Hope when Luke and Han are disguised as Stormtroopers.
I feel the need to remind everyone that even though the Ewoks are 'too cute to be scary', they capture Stormtroopers, cook them, and eat them, and use their armor for drums.
The battle of Endor...the best space battle in cinema history yet ! The battle of Scarif is pretty close ! What do you think ? Also the soundtrack for the Rebel fleet is amazing !
Karthig1987 actually, once in the movies, two or three times in Dark Empire part 1, one more time in part 2, and almost another in part 3. Though, in Dark Empire part 1, the Emperor claimed that Endor was not his first death, just the most recent.
"To be fair". No, not really. The Emperor is revived for one series (Dark Empire). The rationale for his revival is that he had been transferring his spirit to other clone bodies as the Dark Side was eating them away and lowering his life span (the entire process is actually explained in Dark Empire, unlike the ST). In that series - the Emperor's first AND final campaign in the EU (Operation Shadow Hand) - sees his remaining clone bodies sabotaged and/or destroyed outright and he is defeated - and does not return again. While several of his bodies are destroyed within that series, we are told from the beginning about this process, and thus know that he is not really dead until his final defeat at the conclusion. That is, he only actually "dies" once in the books. It should be noted that each clone death costs Palpatine significantly, with his "death" at Endor nearly driving him insane and losing him his Empire, his second clone death stopping his absolute and complete victory 6 years after Endor, and his third being his actual death that results in the complete collapse of his campaign. Again, his only real death is his final one because all previous deaths we knew he still had options to survive. We are explicitly told all such options are gone by the time of his final death and he does not return again.
@@Tyrantofthewind His final death in the EU was pretty stupid though. A cyborg Jedi sacrifices his life so Palpatine's spirit can't jump into baby Anakin Solo? I'm not saying what The Rise of Skywalker did was better, but it was still stupid.

@Jonsin 1459 There are plenty of good things to appreciate about the prequels. They know it has a reputation for being bad, so they will probably enjoy it more than they expect to.
Jonsin 1459 There are things in the prequels that are unparalleled in the OT and ST. Keep convincing yourself that there are no redeeming qualities if you want, but you’re just making yourself blind instead of enjoying what is genuinely great about them.
If you watch The Clone Wars make sure you watch it in the chronological order. The story will make the most sense that way and it's easier to follow the journey of certain characters. There are also some episodes, especially in the earlier seasons, that you can skip if you want.
Is there a reason why some storylines in Clone Wars were released in such a wonky order? I love the show, but trying to explain the chronological watch order is basically the Pepe Silvia meme.
@@95dubstepfan I'm not sure why it was released out of order, but I've watched it both ways and the chronological order makes the story flow much better. It's really easy to look up the correct viewing order as well. If you're a Clone Wars fan you should definitely rewatch in chronological order if you haven't already.
It was not released out of order. Sure, it's not in chronological order, but they didn't make mistakes with the release order. It's just the way the show played out. You can follow the story just fine by watching it by season.
MeanMrMustard1 I think you contradicted yourself. I don’t think it was a mistake either. It was done on purpose, but I’m just not sure why they did it that way. If they watched in release order they would also have to watch episodes that set up plots that have already been resolved in earlier episodes. Watching the show in chronological order can only make the story better, so there isn’t any reason to not watch it that way.
you have no idea how mind blowing the scene of Luke catching the saber was for fans back in the 80"s. At that point we had never seen a green saber, let alone a crazy jump like that.
Qui-Gon didn’t disappear because he was the first Jedi to re-discover how to use the Cosmic Force to commune with the living as a Force Ghost. The ability had been lost to the Jedi for a long time. Qui Gon taught Yoda how to prepare himself for the transition of death, and Yoda taught Obi-Wan (this is hinted at the end of Ep. 3 and explained in detail in The Clone Wars). That’s why Yoda and Obi Wan disappear, but Qui Gon doesn’t.
thats not entirely accurate. its not the ability to use the cosmic force to commune with the living as a force ghost. the clone wars explain it that there are these force priestesses that make you under go a journey if you pass it they grant you the power to retain your individuality in the force. since they can retain there individuality when they become one with the force that means force ghost. its not them using the cosmic force to communicate with the land of the living its just that these women grant the jedi the power to become a force ghost
houseofaction yeah, I gave the Legends definition. I thought something seemed off when I was writing it, but it’s what Wookieepedia had. It’s pretty similar, but the Whills being involved is a really awesome touch from TCW.

The fight between Vader and Luke at the end is my favorite lightsaber fight in all of Star Wars. ROTJ I feel like is such an underrated Star Wars movie. I love it so much!
Luke does use the Dark Side at least once, but not to any great degree. He did choke out two of Jabba's guards, but not to any extreme use as his father did. He used Force Choke to subdue them but not outright kill them.
There is a deleted scene in the beginning of the movie where Luke goes back to Ben's house and builds the lightsaber from parts and instructions he finds there. It was actually a Jedi test, because the instructions were flawed and any saber made with them would explode. Only a Jedi trainee would feel the correct way to assemble the saber from instinct instead of following the plans.
Also apparently Carrie Fischer wanted to be in the slave outfit as she thought it was fine to show off more skin. I think the underwear thing was mentioned during filming episode 4

The girl from mandalorian with the group to save her brother and such. The males specifically of the species their tendril hair varies vs female that they always have the same style.
It kinda pisses me off how the narrative was changed around the metal bikini. She was wearing it as a vital part of an infiltration mission to save her boyfriend, and later straight up murdered the one who tried to literally own her, _with_ the symbol of her slavery he forced onto her. Right before murdering his most important supporters and destroying his most expensive stuff. So even if he wasn't super dead, his whole operation would be beyond crippled. So not only is she a princess flipping the whole rescue trope, she scorched the earth of the one responsible. _THAT'S_ what the metal bikini represents. But it's sexy and guys like it, so it must be hurting someone. Right? (PS - Rana in the metal bikini would get a million views _from each of us._ )
also let’s be real bro, Leia wearing the bikini was never an OUTRIGHT feminist statement, that comes second to putting your only female character in a skimpy bikini to give the boys something to look at. It’s a nice way of recontextualising the scene but there’s not enough of it to say YAY GIRL POWER. There’s way better “woman owning her abuser” content out there if you’re starved it, this was mostly meant to be sexy and it ain’t that deep but that’s fine.

Fun Fact: In one of the original story lines for Jedi, The Falcon and all aboard were supposed to die on the way out of the Death Star. If I remember right, that version was particularly dark. Almost the entire fleet was wiped out, most of the ground soldiers were wiped out and there was no Ewoks but Wookies. The final fight was supposed to take place over the Wookie homeworld.
