Solid 9 out of 10 all three episodes together Can't wait for more just have to wait till tomorrow ... They tone down Sabine quite a bit.. When she first showed up in 2013 she was always a bad ass character they definitely toned her down for the show because they didn't want her to appear like a Mary Sue For new people... But people know she's a bad ass could definitely take on Mando no problem she's the original holder of the dark saber she gifted it to Bo katan Because she thought she would be a better leader and wasn't really interested in politics... But yeah Natasha the actress is doing a great job at betraying her she's a black belt herself... Gotta realize Dave Filoni he has a certain style of Writing and directing everything starts off slow then gets crazy then just goes totally nuts at least in everything he's been in... Even his episodes of the Mandalorian and book of boba are the best... I have faith in him it's been great so far.. He wasn't directly involved with the Kenobi series but he should've been he would've done a much better job... The Kenobi series is only show I've had a problem with.. just bad writing...

Why does everyone want a clone wars ahsoka!! Like cmon ppl grow up get out of that era already, I mean it my favorite but we are in NEW REPUBLIC this stuff wasn’t even spoken of since 1999 and ppl keep pooping on it

Star Wars isnt what it was when Ep4 and 5 came out... But I think people are starting to get unrealistic with their expectations of what these shows should be. Disney has fumbled the ball on multiple occasions so much that people are rushing to hate on the next project that comes out before it even plays out.. Its almost like rooting for it to fail.. You are not probably going to see something of Ep 4 5 or 6 or even 3 level of greatness EVRYTIME a star wars property comes out (that stuff was just totally epic). Star Wars is great when it has good stories to tell.. Ahsoka series has been decent so far. I like ep 3 and I think I know where its going and if Im right? Im excited to see where it is going (Adaptation from the expanded universe). I agree disney hasnt lived up, but filoni is basically the only hope we have because he was basically Lucas padawan for years.. I think he knows what he doing, especially when it comes to Ahsoka (the character he and Lucas created) Lets watch the whole series then decide. It still has some potential

Here's my take from another OT kid's perspective. Two angles. First the objective part which is production quality. It's just weak. The acting is wooden, the dialogue is terrible except for a few brief moments. The overuse of the volume and CGI has the world feeling very empty and unlived in again. Even Ahsoka's ship looks unlived in despite the time we've spent there. The writers have made no effort to bring the character or history of their time together to THIS SHOW's audience. Every emotional beat it relies on comes from other shows, it cannot stand on it's own and this lends to why it feels so flat and without tension or weight to the dialogue and the (very contrived and without stakes) action. The second angle is much more subjective. This feels like Star TREK instead of Star Wars to me. They are too deep in the lore here. The sci fi isn't grounded any more. I've heard some other reviewers make this comment that I will parrot here: what worked in animated shows on DisneyXD does not automatically translate to live action tent pole shows for the wider audience! I think there are many moments from The Clone Wars (simply because how much repair they do for the prequel trilogy that the mainstream audience hasn't experienced) and a few in Rebels (Kenobi v Maul final fight) that would crossover amazingly - but many other concepts from an animated shows are best served where they are! Space whales, the world beyond worlds and many deep lore items like that are a departure from the grounded sci fi of the OT. Star Wars and Star Trek have always felt very different for this very reason and that line is getting muddied. I think the deep lore stuff works great in video games and the animated projects. It has very little chance of working with the wider mainstream audience (which the OT did with ease) especially without a high quality production to support it with great dialogue and story telling. It feels like a fan fiction CW network quality show that really only serves a very narrow audience base even though they targeted this show at everyone. This show might be the turning point that leads to Disney selling Lucasfilm. It's wholly missed it's mark. Meanwhile, Andor (which I loved) will hear it's name called all night long for nominations at the next Emmy's, and maybe take a couple wins home (it's up against Succession, that's tough). Maybe Andor is on the other side of the sci fi pendulum for some, too far grounded because no Jedi were present in that story, but chronologically it brought me to the OT. I like Jedi feeling rare and still in need of a kid named Luke and the eventual 'Return of the Jedi'. So for me it fits very well into making the OT deeper. Bummer that it came after the mainstream audience was destroyed by Kenobi, plus the weekly release schedule didn't serve the 3 episode arc story line pace very well. Still, imagine if we had no sequel trilogy and all Disney had done was Mando 1&2, TCW szn 7, Tales of the Jedi, Bad Batch, Rogue One, and Andor. They'd be doing very well right now I think and be in a prime spot for a sequel trilogy focused on Thrawn (from the old books), with Ahsoka, Luke, Din, and Grogu ready to lead the way. Sigh.

Ashoka is a continuation from Rebels which takes place about 10 years later so how are you a big Ahsoka fan when you.never watched Rebels? Lol

Yea everything being CWfied . You can argue that its all about money but you would think they would make star wars for teenage boys as well. I think it goes beyond that. Disney has lost the ability to story tell. They dont understand the heroes journey and what that entails. They dont understand how disney created stories that surpassed their own generations. How someone born in 2010 can still like the old star wars and the story and message it tried to tell that we can all relate too. Its crazy how star wars never excluded girls and created characters anybody can relate regardless of the characters gender. New star wars is trying to exclude us while at the same time trying to tell us we need to accept the new characters because they are women. Crazy how that works. On a side not. How does this Ashoka trying to train Sabine to use the force story line work? All she has to do believe in herself? In that case, Anakin instead of turning to the dark side and losing his sanity trying to save his loved one and becoming Darth Vader in the process for failing to do so. All he had to actually do was believe in himself.

Let's face it boys and girls!!! Star Wars was plagiarism for western and especially American sensibility, from Lucas ripping off Kurosawa to John Williams ripping off Gustav Holst's 1918 "The Planets" for the soundtrack... Empire was a non-Lucas movie, Andor was a non-Lucas show....Every time they tried to replicate Lucas, it was a failure, even the rehash The Farce Awakens.
