We need another Star Wars Jedi Knight Game. Sure we've got Battlefront on the way which looks awesome! But Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy were the games where you really feel like a Jedi. Maybe they could do a Jedi Knight game set during the Prequels (maybe during the Clone Wars?) or in between Episodes III & IV where you're a Jedi in hiding.

Did you ever make the next video on this series? I was looking forward to the type of attacks explained. I haven't played this game since it came out. Now a friend on a "star wars drug-like high" convinced me to re buy it on steam. And I can't play for shit.
Dash, if you think this is the best saber combat ever made, you should play Moviebattles 2. It's a total conversion mod for Jedi Academy that makes the saber system incredibly more realistic and fun. It's only multiplayer, but people play it to this day, in fact, the devs make updates quite often.
Fast style = Fastest and has the lowest damage output but Best at deflecting blaster shot because it’s fast, worst against lightsabers, especially against Strong lightsaber style because the Strong Style will completely destroyed Fast style defense like it was nothing and it has the weakest defense stance. Medium style = jack of all trade, nuff said. Strong style = Slowest but has the highest damage and best against another lightsaber because high damage, breaks defense and strong defense stance, worst at deflecting blaster shot because it’s too slow.
If you're talking about a mod that puts the Outcast campaign into Jedi Academy, search moddb for "JOA v3 Full Version". Pretty much the only bug is that the Galak fight isn't the way it was before

Revived Arctic yes, I was a game programmer on Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. I did the lightsaber combat, Jedi AI, force powers, and some multiplayer modes.

What happened to the different cuts and so on that you said you were gonna make at the end of the video? Thought I discovered a gem on RU-vid of a recent tutorial for playing my friends on PC for fun and learn some cool shit. But turns out I can't find any more tutorial videos on this from you.
I was pretty big into the multiplayer scene for this game when it was a lot bigger. And honestly, people only ever used single saber red, sometimes a bit of yellow. Using dual or even worse staff(aka noobstick), was generally considered "noobish" simlpe because they lack the freedom of single red, and it's really easy to be come a sitting duck with those weapons. Basically every fight would be two people circling each other and trying to jump in with a strong attack every so often.. good times
I've played Jedi knight Jedi Academy so many times. It seems my skill still has plenty to be desired though xD I'm playing the whole series on the computer.
1.Single saber main styles (fast,medium,strong) & hidden styles through cheat codes(tavion,desann). 2.Dual sabers 3.Double saber(saber staff) For single player imo,these are the best saber styles in terms of regular & special attacks overall: -single saber desann -dual sabers -double saber
Dash, I know you were on the fence about releasing more Jedi Academy videos. But believe me when I say we will all love them. There are little to none guide videos, plus you are so entertaining. :)
I just ordered this game for Xbox ! I'm glad I learned about it on your show. I've never played it before . On a future video can you show lightsaber combat against Stormtroopers I would like to see what it looks like . Thanks Dash :)

Joseph O'Carrol Dude, if Dash did a let's play of Knights of the Old Republic, I'd die of a heart attack. It would be to awesome watching him play. His reaction videos are already awesome. Imagine watching him play a game, lol. Not just a game, one of the best star wars games ever made. It would be golden.
I've never had any problems using blue stance against other saber users myself. From my experience it can go toe to toe with another blue, yellow and dual stance, and seems to do pretty well against staffs in terms of quick strikes. It may not do much damage, but it seems to have incredible defense, and is great for instant retaliation against parried attacks.

My favorite Star Wars game ,with Battlefront II.. I still play it a lot, and creating packs of sounds/effects. I'm working on a Rebels and force awakens pack at the moment, sounds, sabers, npcs.. and true, even after all the Star Wars games that been released after this game, it's still the best lightsaber combat system ever made, and I feel like the freedom you have with the mouvments help a lot !

i remember a trick called saber-gun. I remember it was something about lighting up and closing your saber then rolling down and hitting. Saber would teleport or something. It'd been so damn long does anyone know how to do it ? I wanna try it again !
+DFK you light up your saber near ur enemy, turn it off, turn around and roll + saber attack before he/she moves. It only works on 1.00 though as it is considered a glitch and was patched.
The ranges just show how slow your attack is, from the moment you press the key to the moment it actually connects in front of you. It doesn't seem to be a benefit in having that larger range.
Single bladed red tempo is a beast! Hard to master, but so satisfying when you cleave someone! It just needs Kylo Ren's additional side blades and it will feel like a proper bastard sword. :D
During the first act of the game, you only have access to the medium style. Once you start the second act, you can choose to add the fast or strong style. Once you have and you get in a mission, you can switch between them via middle click. Once you start the third act of the game, you get your final style unless you choose a different type of lightsaber other than the single bladed one.
Yo Dash Star doing Jedi Academy Tutorials eh? Thats cool. I been playing Jedi Academy for over 10 years and still playing it to this day. I have not been on the regular Jedi Academy for awhile, but I have been playing a mod called Movie Battles 2. You should check it out sometime. Its really fun!

CherubiKnighT If you have the cd disk that saids jedi academy 1.0, just get the patch 1.01 by google search. Should able to find servers by going to join network internet. Ah well if you gonna get on steam, then its already there, just launch the game lol.

Im on the fence on buying this game. if i am gonna buy it im buying it for the online saber duels. just wondering.. do people still play online so i can saber duel or is it dead?
