There is a Polish streamer who fought this boss fight for over 29 hours. He ended his first stream after 22 hours and 1100 deaths. He started another stream the next day and killed them. He had 1207 deaths in total.
Excellent work, as always! I got so thrown by having parry instincts from Oggdo in Fallen Order so deep in my muscle memory. I went into Spawn thinking parry was the way to go, and got wrecked by unblockables over and over again until I learned through suffering that dodging was the way to go. Same thing happened with the Rancor. At a certain point I just had my brain equate seeing animals in Survivor to "Oh, now I'm playing Monster Hunter instead of Sekiro," but it took a while to get there.
Funny thing is, I checked on lower difficulties in order to learn how to dodge his attacks, and even if you break his guard with a parry, he flinches for a second and you can only get one hit in anyway. You can get more damage in dodging his red attacks even on lower difficulties.
I REALLY don't like that parrying isn't a viable strategy against him. Fallen Order literally teaches you that parrying is a viable strategy against every single enemy. in general I don't think beast bosses in soulslikes are well designed. fuck blazing bull, fuck two guardian apes, fuck two oggdos, and fuck the four legendary beasts you fight all at once in both JFO and Survivor.
Fun fact: One polish streamer died 1205 times to Oggdo duo boss fight, and the fight took him 29 hours to complete. It was a major thing in poland 3 days ago Before he was famous for dying 221 times to owl father for 7 hours and 10 minutes
Idk it's a flex but im a 16 yr old dude i beat sekiro in 8 hours first playthrough, 125 to platinum it (some runs were shit and giggles) What im trying to say is that owl father surprisingly took me less than owl, owl took me 43 at most while owl father i think 5, inner father 2 (Now i can flawless every boss in the game)
I swear, the frame drops are actually part of the reason why I can't dodge as effectively as I would like to. This is a Soulslike game, and poor frame rates can actually cause you to lose.
I love how the roles flipped in the duo boss fight. Instead of them chasing you down, its just you chasing them down which is a great way to manage the space between them. Great stuff!
This is the hardest fight by far in the game when I played on jedi grand master, I did not even do the double fight in the end :D Awesome work, well done!!
@@issi529 If you think bad design is difficulty, then just play with a broken controller. If the buttons randomly don't work, I bet that would make it a lot more difficult! You would die a lot more and it won't be your fault. And that's what difficulty is all about amirite?
@@neamraven Don't act stupid dude. I know your point but in the end it still remains a difficult boss. I mean eventually, because of the terrible game design it makes it very difficult. Your example is horrible.
Finally i see someone who understands how this game is played.. i see so many so called "star wars youtubers" who have never heard of parrying or not spamming buttons and they drove me crazy..
@@SyIis Not really this one seems more like "Bitch slap, Dodge, bitch slap, dodge, ultra bitch slap, dodge" like this is the whole fight with this boss in the souls series at least you have parry you can do multiple hits and such but not this one this one is all about patience
@@HairlessMonkeyKing There are plenty of souls bosses you can't parry, lol? And you can push parry almost every red attack I've played against so far, and I beat the game, just didn't try it on some attacks.
Seeing that even the master needs blaster stance knockback to really make the fight look easy makes me feel alot better about the hours I spent trying to make it work myself.
@@neamraven it really isn't, the game is a lot of fun, but a lot of enemies clip their animations or your attacks just won't register sometimes. Fortunately the game is usually not punishing enough to make that a big issue, but the oggdo fights are such an extreme example of this that it just feels unfair and annoying
Watching everyone abuse the ogdo fights with the blaster stance just fills me with happiness for beating it with cross guard stance. My pits were sweaty after that shit, I learned exactly how to circle to keep one ogdo behind the other so i could perfectly 1v1 them both.
@@shahalisgaming nah, it only removes 1/3 iirc. Didn't play much past getting push pull force ability. Too clunky for my liking. So i don't know which frog he's talking about.
Absolutely incredible good sir. For anyone struggling, anf good cheese is usingg the charged shot with blaster. Upgrade the blaster for more ammo and quicker regen, and use the extra damage with blaster perk. Die on first attempt so you can use your death location to regen a full clip. Then come back, Unload a full clip, and then use your death location to regen and let off another full clip, will get him to around quarter health
THANK YOU ONGBAL!! I was stuck on this force tear for about 10 hours until I saw your video. Your blaster combo method worked like a charm for me! Event though I obviously didn't do it as well as you ;p.
@@adit12345678 Try and replicate what he did in the video, blaster stance with richochet shot fully charged to interrupt his attacks, followed by the lunge move (hold attack button, square for ps5, X button for Xbox). This is especially useful for interrupting the insta kill tongue grab, if no ammo try double jumping over it like how he did at 2:49. Once you get 1 oggdo down the other should be much easier.
I've just killed this thing after 2 hours of trying. Havn't even spoken to Greez yet so minimal upgrades. Mainly max health and stim amount. It can be done for sure but I did switch back to single stance. The Dual and Double is too higher time commitment per single attack and it locks you out of dodge. Secret I found was abusing his chomp combos. Dash once right and you get 2-3 hits every time. It's just putting the time in to learn the muscle memory of the other moves. I've uploaded 45 seconds of the end of the fight in case it can help anyone.
Cheers to a fellow grandmaster, this one was tough! I like how they made them tougher tbh, took me few sessions but always worth it after all those cheap shots as I say haha
A little bit surprised to see how timid you played Spawn. I guess if you’re going for no damage, you may have to. I will say, for all the danger of going full parry, unless you luck into him going into the back to back bite loops, you’re really only getting 1 posture break punish from the whole fight, which is maaaaybe not worth the effort.
One of the reasons I don't like this boss is that even if you parry all of its attacks, it's almost impossible to break the posture. He regen his posture meter with in seconds so quickly after few parries, so parry is actually pointless :(
I imagine you could do this more efficiently if the game actually allowed Cal to equip at least 3 or 4 sabre stances.. but luckily there is a mod for that.
what I hate about this game is that the block meter on some monsters is just plain meaningless, yet it's still there I'm a parry guy but when fighting legendary monsters I would just dodge and dash
I also have clips of no damaging him on Jedi Grand master once you get how much the jump is usefull its easy... i think he is considered one of the hardest bosses because usually the enemies on Soulslikes do not require you to jump to have atleast a chance... For me the spawn of oggdo alone was actually very easy from first try even on max diff.
Reg: Welcome to the Salty Spitoon, how tough are ya? Player: How tough am I?! How tough am I?! I defeated the Spawn of Oggdo on Grandmaster difficulty! Reg: Yeah so? Player: Without taking any damage. Reg: Uh, right this way, sorry to keep you waitin.
Nicely done, that follow-up attack with a double-bladed spin after parry is awesome. I spent probably an hour on Oggdo fight, but double fight was surprisingly easy, did it first try, but not as stylish. And the blaster stance is really fun, reminded me of Bloodborne, used most of my playthrough.
You are a genius. But by using the purity perk provided by respawn, i was able to smoke this unfair duo. You are the true sekiro, but human genius is unmatched.
Will you make videos like this with lots of different stances? i think there's a triple raider lieutants with lightsabers. i wonder how you can tackle that no damage.
