Just got into Legion after playing an intro game. Trying to find some cool, non-standard stormtrooper paint schemes.

I’m not sure when this game won me over. I dislike proprietary dice, I HATE those measuring sticks and Star Wars - well, I don’t hate it, but it’s not my favorite either. And yet, I like the ebb and flow of SWL, I like the speed at which it plays, and I enjoy watching this batreps immensely. Part of me wants to desperately make a snow-trooper army led by The Big Bad, with an At-St in support. Or a Mandelorian army.

poor xander got shafted! that roll on the clone leader to remove the suppression was the clincher. think things moved a little too quickly to follow properly, must watch it again. some things there im not sure what happened exactly but great fun to watch. love skirmish battles like this. does kinda rely on dice a lot lot more but it is fun and snappy

I really wish the 'skirmish' mode was an actual skirmish game, as opposed to just the smaller point value.

With the smaller games could people skew them say by taking a big tank that’s impossible for a small force to kill? Or will a Jedi still rip it open? Alternatively do you need an arms limitation treaty about a what to take for a fun game? Does anyone use the droid tank?

Smaller games do tend to skew things. The heavies are very strong. Usually it’s best to try and kill the rest and/or play the scenario. Easier said than done. Force users are strong also, but all unit can chip away at them at least and they take a bit of finesse to use. The upgrade Burst of Speed may end up being too strong in skirmish, but I haven’t played with it yet. I think an agreement of “no heavies and no burst of speed” might be a fair compromise if you’re looking to avoid skews.
