Ah I want 2 of these! I do agree the red is a bit bland. I think the cockpit wind would have been cool is they tinted it like mace windu's interceptor. Still like it.
It boggles my mind why collectors are paying scalpers' prices for toys that aren't even what they claim to be. It's not an RGI, it's literally just a repainted Interceptor.
To add to this conundrum, it's also unfortunate for kids 8+ that really just wanted this item for fun. I had a tie interceptor frm the micro machines series back in 96. I kept that thing with me like a cellphone. Never lost my pilot either. But that comes from a era of "hey mom can I get this" and obviously her not breaking pockets to get me it. Good luck to father's and mother's getting this one....$130+?? 😅
The chase rare strategy is definitely not something I like. I do totally understand that the appetite for you casual fan doesn’t include some of these vehicles but slapping a sticker on it only fuels the secondary market which is a real bummer. The limited run items should be left to places like Vault or Con Exclusives. While I love these toys and will continue to collect it is massively frustrating.
Hey Kevin did you paint your 3D printed one? If so what red paint did you use? I am so frustrated not finding the Chase so I am going to repaint an Interceptor red and silver.
Bummer! I am sorry you couldn’t find one. The light armor class has been frustrating to find since target dropped that sku. I used army painter paints. They are air brush paints. I have a listing on my Amazon storefront under my list Painting Supplies for Miniatures. You can see the exact color names and get the kit or just get the individual paint colors. As an FYI I painted without priming my 3d model. The model was printed in a grey color. I would recommend priming so the paint doesn’t chip off too easily but you can probably paint it right on the plastic too. It just may chip off.
@@kmtanner04 ok thank you! I painted my TIE Fighters without priming and sealed them with clearcoat and the paint has held just fine. I will check your storefront for some Army Painter paints. 👍

@@kmtanner04 well, they should because I always find my way to your videos. I play with these with my 5 year old daughter and it’s fun because she gets into some of the ships and pretty domestic situations and I have lots of meeting where my guys plan attacks but never do it.
Bullshit like this ("rare" mass-produced plastic toys, come on...) is why 3D printing is booming. Let people buy what they want! Ridiculous to limit such a beautiful design behind artificial scarcity.
would it be possible to share the link to the STL files you used for your 3D print? I wanna print my own! there's a bunch available online either for free or to buy but i'd like to use the same one as you if possible, since it obviously prints well!
The Royal Interceptor print file was from Modelwerks. Unfortunately, the files are not supported but they are great models. The stand it is on is part of a terrain file from DarkFire Designs.
