After their battle on Kamino, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi tracks the bounty hunter Jango Fett to the planet of Geonosis. There, Obi-Wan discovers a massive droid army in production, and overhears a plot by Count Dooku, the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and the leaders of major galactic corporations--including the Trade Federation, the Techno Union, and the Corporate Alliance--to rebel against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order. Although Obi-Wan is able to transmit this information back to Coruscant, he is captured mid-transmission by the Separatists.
Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala, upon seeing Obi-Wan's capture, disobey orders in an attempt to rescue him. However, they are both captured, and all 3 are convicted of espionage and sentenced to be executed at the Petranaki Arena.
Although able to hold their own against an acklay, a reek, and a nexu, the 2 Jedi and the Senator from Naboo soon find themselves surrounded by droidekas, and with no way out.
Unbeknownst to them, help is about to arrive... en masse.
