Stepping into magic and into Disneyland for a special event…Star Wars Nite!! The force is strong at Star Wars Nite as we walk through Disneyland during the first Star Wars After Hours nite of the year. We grab our lanyard and event guide from the cast members at the entrance gates and make our way into Town Square to take in the sights and sounds of Disney during Star Wars Nite. The Sleeping Beauty castle looks beautiful, illuminated by both red and blue lights. The light side and the dark side. As we approach we spot the DJ booth. The Galactic Dance Party at the hub goes on all night. Our first stop of the evening is Queen Amidala over at the Fantasy Theatre. We make our way into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the light saber meet up with Rey. We encounter Kylo Ren in Batuu and he is just as intimidating as ever. During the event, some routes in Batuu are blocked off, most likely for crowd control. This area of the Disneyland park was appropriately much busier than others, and the sea of colorful lightsabers was definitely a sight to see. We got to see Chewbacca, Rey, and Kylo before leaving Batuu and making our way into Critter Country.
At the Rivers of America, the Figrin D’an and the modal nodes play tunes several times a night.
Back on Main Street U.S.A., we prepare for the Fans of the Force costume cavalcade with Mickey and Minnie and capture the group photo of the evening in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. From here, we wander into Tomorrowland for more character encounters with Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and Imperial Stormtroopers. On the terrace, we spot Emperor Palpatine and Royal Guards. Tomorrowland also had photo ops with Jabba the Hutt, Han Solo in Carbonite, and Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. After Tomorrowland, we head past some Fantasyland photo ops and into Mickey’s Toontown. Magic Key holders can pick up their special event patch inside Mickey’s house. As the night comes to an end, we make our way over to Town Square for a special farewell from Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We hope you enjoyed this walkthrough of Star Wars Nite 2024 at Disneyland.
