Sidious reveled in the very idea of his apprentice surpassing him and perhaps becoming the true culmination of the Sith Order's Rule of Two. As you said, Sidious had expected Vader to betray him and would have been concerned had he not at least attempted to kill the Master. Alas, he was deeply disappointed to find his prized pupil had been ruined by Obi-wan but more so by his own arrogance. The pupil he had groomed for over ten years, influenced and swayed, all in preparation of making him his apprentice and eventual heir to his empire, had been damaged so severely that he would require life-support for the rest of his life, and his potential had been stunted. Sidious had even considered leaving Vader to die on Mustafar, but all the effort he'd made and the anticipation he'd felt, to throw it all away was something Sidious could not accept. That, and perhaps a sliver of affection for the fallen hero, compelled Sidious to save Vader but not w/o consequence for his failure. He arranged Vader to be treated w/o painkillers so that his agony would fuel his anger and hate, and for him to be outfitted with outdated cybernetics instead of cutting edge prosthetics that would have more than made up for the loss of Vader's limbs and the injuries to his whole body and lungs and eyes. This was but the first step to rekindle the fires in Vader's soul, to reignite his anger and hate in order to fuel his power in the Dark Side to make up for the potential he had been robbed of. To a degree it worked, becuz Vader became so angry and hateful and bitter and wretched that his powers in the Dark Side made him strong enough to match with and overpower virtually every Jedi he hunted in the years following. Yet, Vader never fully let go of his past and his pain in spite of his wish to forget his losses, his failures, and his true self as Anakin Skywalker. He spent the rest of his life in deepest self-loathing for killing his wife and (to his belief) his unborn child, and leaving himself more a slave than he'd ever been back on Tatooine This melancholic, self-pitying hateful wretch, while effective and useful, was still a disappointment for Sidious, who had high hopes for his apprentice that were dashed, his goal of making Vader the culmination of the Rule of Two and heir to the Empire he had conspired so many years to create, wasted and for nothing... until Sidious eventually decided the Rule of Two had served its purpose, and decided he would be the Rule of One, as the One True Sith, and find a way to become immortal and so rule his empire forever And we all know how that turned out

I believe that Palpatine was planning on eventually using essence transfer on Anakin after learning the secret to immortality but when Vader Got to suit His plan had to change

Anakin was Palpatine's shatter point, as Windu noticed during their duel. If Palpatine was ever capable of loving anyone, that would be Anakin Skywalker - Darth Vader, Chosen One of the Force. "Darth Vader would become more powerful than either of us" - that was not a simple lie, or empty phrase. Palpatine believed in that, and was ready to be killed by such a magnificently powerful being. Deep inside, Palpatine was always servant of the Force, at least Dark Side of it. He never attempted to master it, unlike Plagueis.

This was actually shown in the non canon ending of the Revenge of the Sith game for the PS2/Xbox where Vader actually killed Sidious after killing Obi-wan. Pretty interesting what if scenario they added in the game

Another thing to think of that if Vader beat Obi then either he or Sidious would find Padme's barely living body along with the incoming children. Vader now has a new weak point for Sidious to exploit or use against him.

The question with Sidious is whether he could have stopped a victorious Anakin without killing him; he has ways of handling his own death, as we’ve seen, but he was clearly willing to go to any lengths to keep Anakin alive, and seemed basically willing to let himself be killed at various points if it would bring Anakin closer to the dark side. That said, Anakin was bound to underestimate him, since the only fight he actually saw Sidious in was with Windu, and, by that point, he had essentially thrown the match just to screw with the guy’s emotions.

Oddly enough, padme was never seen or even mentioned in the ps2 video game. Not even in the movie cutscenes either. I do find this a little bit strange since she was the main source of motivation for Anakin turning to the dark side. But I guess they didn’t want to spoil major movie events. That’s my guess.

And then we go to the Vader comics, when they are on Exegol, Vader learns that Sideous is just another being entirely and can take pain that he can not.

Anakin, during operation knightfall was said to have unrivaled power in the force. However if anakin had attempted his betrayal on mustafar, he would have died due to his confliction against obi wan making him weaker. But being "beaten" by kenobi was actually a good thing. Though that defeat vader became far more powerful and calculating than anakin had ever been.

How would Sidious not be expecting this after experiencing himeself the rule of 2 and him being the murdered of his own master & even told Yoda he expected Anakin to surpass him?

Palpatine didn't care about rule of two. He had maul first and never intended him too be number 2. Then he had dooku who had ventress and savage which goes against the rule of 2. Then palpatine had Vader which he had no intention of letting him rule. Palpatine then wanted to be transferred into a young clone of him self. He was never gonna let someone rule after him.

I believe palpatine is actually Plagueis, after sidious kills plagueis in his sleep, plagueis used essence transfer to take control of Palpatine! The fact his name is Plagueis "Plague" and plagues tend to get passed on by person to person! It only makes sense that palpatine was actually just a body puppet for darth plagueis! Plagueis made Anakin through the force in order to eventually take control of his body and become a god of the force!

Even before watching the video. Yeah that is how sith works. The primary way of "promotion" is to kill your master. Though the rule of two originally mandated, that the apprentice must defeat the master in a fair fight in order to ensure, that (s)he became stronger, than the master, and thus the sith is becoming stronger. Of course it is very likely, that many of the Sith used sneaky shit instead.

sidious plan was good but it just leads him to an endless failures if he actually use the knowledge he knows as an sith especially in the sith alchemy to make vader very powerful sith items imbued with the dark side of the force to have him at same power before he was burned alive and to grow powerful but he was to mad at vader for being deafeted by obiwan since he saw obi wan as an ameture duelist that vader could easly defeat but he chose to punish his apprentince even tho it was a good idea to punish him for faliure he could had still let him have sith imbued armor to be at current power and to grow more powerful so he could overthrow him in the future and gain his knowledge and power but sidious didn't think to through on it and just made an half harded plan to make him the one true sith

If I was Vader honestly, would have just went and got better cybernetics, exactly the same looking design away from the emperor, without his knowledge just so he wouldn't know. Then boom, the emperor used force lightning haha killed. Vader Vs the emperor without Vader being cut and burnt Vader would have handily had him, it's like his heart wasn't in fighting Obi wan, that's why he stupidly jumped over him rather then just rushing him.
