no it doesn't it looks like they can't make a working gameplay footage and took a bunch of prescripted scenes. look at the walking scenes it looks like they took a separate character animation and slapped different backgrounds. At one point the frame rate dropped to like 20fps most likely real gameplay.

The biggest problem I just have with this game is locking you into a certain story direction while acting like it's a game about being a outlaw. To me the only way that makes a good game as if it's free roam with the game just giving you some prompt and directions to go but doesn't necessarily make you do it. Everything else about this game might be okay if the mechanics in the physics works fine. It's just the story is not inspiring at all it's just too generic to care about. My Hope for this game that the hackers can do a lot of mods for this game and break the code and make it where you can do pretty much whatever you want without the store getting in the way.

Unfortunately, it seems that Death Troopers will be a joke again. Funny, considering they were the last enemies for the highest wanted level and "one of the hardest challenges in the game." @@ricolives1166You should definitely give Mirage a shot. Bordaeux studio showed what's possible if you just listen to the community. Frontiers of Pandora was technically by Massive studio probably but helped by some Ubi studios. Solid gameplay but the narrative was a bit weak.

Because this game tells a story and you can’t really have a truly fleshed out protagonist if it’s a created character. Silent, nameless player inserts are good at what they do but this is best for a seamless blend of good gameplay to cinematic character moments

Playing as your own character seems so out-of-step with Star Wars though. It's really been about telling stories of heroes and that's most easily accomplished with a preset character. Disney also seems to be big on intellectual property and creating their own characters.

Although its awesome we're getting an open world SW in the Empire era (been a damn long time coming), I find it a bit off that we're forced to play a pre written character. It would've been WAYYYY more appealing if this was my own character that I could play. Fair enough they could have the same story, interactions and arc, but being able to decide race, gender, look and clothing wouldve been the chefs kiss it needed.

Optimisation will likely be good considering this is made by the guys who made the Avatar game using the same tech and they are excellent devs who know their engine, however it will be heavy (that does not mean stuttery) so if playing on console say hello to 30fps, and if there is a 60fps mode, get ready for considerable graphical compromises, but again, I do not think this game will have frame pacing issues.

Anybody that thinks that they can subscribe to Ubisoft Plus for cheap, and beat this within a month are crazy. Ubisoft will bloat this game up, and gatekeep missions via level, so it will take you months to beat it.

I'm still going to do it this way. I use the Ubisoft membership to see if it's worth it. Once I play the game to a certain point or if I beat the game and I believe it's worth my money then I buy it, but I usually wait for it to go on sale before buying it. That way I didn't waste too much money. I did the same thing for Avatar. I 100% that game within the month and got all the achievements for Avatar and Mirage within the same month. Afterwards, Once Avatar was on sale I bought it. Mirage wasn't worth it in my opinion. So as long as it's not as long as Skyrim I think I'll be able to 100% it within the month.

You should check out the Star Wars: Eclipse trailer. It's still a few years off but this is the absolute top of my hype list, way beyond this offering from Ubisoft, a company famous for hyping games that turn out to be another AC clone (farcry) or a buggy mess, or even just microtransaction hell. I have hopes, but with a pinch of salt.

I really hope open world is accurate and it’s not just a linear game with “open world” areas. A lot do what is in that trailer looked scripted so assuming it was all missions / contracts. Would be good to see some genuine exploration gameplay and see what the open world actually looks like.

Looks like a fun game, I hope that the main campaign is not too long but then you can still play the game and experiment with reputations and tasks and secondary missions, bounties etc...

the game looks beatiful i really hope they outdone themselves with this one cause it has potencial for other entrances. maybe in a sequel if all go well we can create our own character..
