Before you all say that the mandalorians should not count, they were in fact a rebel cell as they fought with pheonix cell and the spectors, making them rebel members as they fought against the empire and worked openly with rebel members

RIP Old Jho, but honestly more rebels should have died. mean people complain about the final space 'battle' in Episode 9 but Filoni had been doing these one sided battles since TCW and no one complained when CIS ships were spontaneously combusting and when the space battles in Rebels were kind of stupid.

Even if I wanted to watch more deaths on rebel side, especially for Thrawn's gain, we have to understand something that, I see, most people also omite: The Rebel Alliance was borning, It was just a group of cells making a little fleet: They cannot afford to suffer the losses they suffer. Many complain that 100000000000 Imperials die for every rebel killed (which is true) but, in addition to admit that this is a tropic from the OT, at that time the Imperials dominated the galaxy, they could afford to lose entire fleets, even an admiral like Thrawn and a planet, because they can remplaced them with such facility. Instead, each rebel ship destroyed was catastrophic for the rebels. In the series itself we see them DESPERATE to get equipment, to replace each ship they lose, because they know that each loss is disastrous, they can't remplace it such easy. Who loses more? Someone who loses 1000000000/1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 or someone who loses 1000/10000?

Also, the Galactic Civil War before Scarif was more a Guerilla Warfare than BIG BATTLES such as Clone Wars (because Rebels were too small, and non-conventional fighters). Even Battles of Yavin and Hoth are significantly little in comparison: I mean, 30 starfighters vs a moon-sized battle station, and they won...

@alonsoduran3233 Well, that is kind of a lousy excuse. The reason the Empire lost more troops is because of lousy leadership who were using shitty GAR tactics with only minor improvements. The Rebels are supposed to be based on the Viet Cong. Those guys clearly lost a lot more men than the Empire did. However, in the case of Star Wars, there are more people who are the equivalent of South Vietnamese troops than there are Viet Cong and NVA forces. The stormtroopers are the equivalent of at least US GIs in this war. They are the elite. Most rebel forces cannot beat them. It is literally the cream of the Alliance crop we are seeing in the films in Marines and Pathfinders, and they are the only ones who trade favourably against the Empire. The reason the Empire took so many losses is because there were so many individual small groups attacking who weren't taking losses, but in a military attack where both sides were evenly matched the Alliance would be stomped.

@alonsoduran3233 At Yavin, the Empire was only using a couple of squadrons worth of fighters to fight off 3 of the best rebel squadrons. Only 1 of the Imperial Squadrons was actually an elite unit, and still the Empire was able to kill almost all the Alliance's pilots. It was only because Tarkin refused to use the Death Star's TIE fighter complement to engage the Rebel fighters and becausr Luke was a physics defying force user that the Rebels blew up that battle station.

@alonsoduran3233 guerrilla, if I am not mistaken, often leads to heavy casualties for the guerrillas as well from a historical standpoint. This was true on Mimban for the MLA in Solo.
