Star Wars Rebellion... even though it is so hard to get to the table. The Clone Wars Pandemic version is a fun (and easier to get out) game as well. This game looks cool... but also sooooo intimidating. I think this would be fun to play if I showed up at someone's house who knew how to setup and play already.
Just ordered the Core Set and looking forward to giving this a go after quite a few friends at my game store were selling it to me (I love Star Wars and Miniature Games so it wasn't too hard a sell). Also love the American Nightmare hat, haven't seen them in well over a decade!
I have enjoyed it quite a bit so far from what I have played. Mine is not painted yet either but I did magnetize all the bases for transport. Also Bo-Katans head for both with and without helmet. :)
@@TheLatestRetroBoardGameShow I haven’t decided if I want to do it with the terrain yet or not. We have enough terrain at the club that I don’t have to rush that. But doing it on the bases was great, have every model in a pan for easy transportation. And secure too with those thin lightsabers.
Just pick up TinkerTurf. Its perfect for this game. I have a couple decent sets of it and it would set up well against a lava based landscape/game mat.
Im really looking forward to picking up Shatterpoint... if only for the terrain and models... I'm mostly a collector and casual player. Ive not gotten i to the new KT21, still stuck on KT18 when i get stuff out in the winter.... having basically no options to make a legal team in the current game from most of my kill teams rosters turned me off to the current game.... id love to see a few rule changes for a new edition, but I will only pick up that game if it opens up the team building a bit more... Combat Patrol right now has totally went to jist using exactly what is in the current boxes, which i have none of...and dont really intend to buy any, so.... i wont be getting into combat patrol or 10th... Id love to see some videos of you covering Shatterpoint and playimg it some, but more so would love to see you do videos on One Page Rules , both Firefight and the larger Grimdark Future.... that is the only way i see myself using any of my GW minis any time soon, unless someone wants to play some KT18.... Cheers
Outer Rim - great game! Thanks for showing off Shatterpoint. It looks great and I like painting (old 40k player here) but, not at the moment so I will wait and see how this develops. I see a box of rebels is like $90 Aud so for now I am not interested in paying the price point of shatterpoint.
Yeah i´d say it´s gotta be X-wing. Probably closely followed by Legion. Both are outstanding. In fact i´d say Legion makes Shatterpoint redundant, but hey that´s just my opinion.
Every time I see a review for non-GW mini sprues it makes me think that maybe their prices AREN'T so outrageous. Push-fit, ball-socket and flat-flat is SO user friendly. Then again, this all sounds like stuff that'd be resolved with a pinning vise, so...
I played this at a convention and appreciated the focus on the objectives. It's pretty dang expensive, though. Also, I don't know the characters very well, so the theme fell flat for me. I'll stick with MCP for the time being.
Definitely X-wing 1.0 and 2.0 ... I believe AMG has ruined it with most of 2.5 primarily by adding objectives exclusively to ALL gameplay. It sloooooows the game down. It is no longer a game for casual players. AMG must be hoping that X-wingers will migrate to Shatterpoint. Not me!
The only thing I found during my viewing is the volume level between the portrait shots and the game table was different. Maybe a little "muffly" on the table shot. not a great concern
