This ship served with honor and dignity for thousands of years in the Old Republic. For canon to give the hammerhead this honor is truly wonderful for legends fans, here hoping they add other legends ships.

"315m" also is the exact length of the KotOR Hammerhead-class cruiser. Clearly somebody accidentally inserted this figure into the stats of the Sphryna-class corvette even though it is consistently depicted in Rebels and Rogue One as vastly smaller, certainly shorter than a 300m Nebulon-B.

You mean the Sentinel-class? It didn't even have an official length for years. The size used in starwars.wikia of 38 metres is from the X-wing Alliance game, and is fair enough for the earlier schematics... the one in Rebels is CLEARLY mean't to be smaller, say 19 to 23 metres. Which scales down the Arquitens as well, as it was scaled to it...

We see in Rebels cartoon it is about twice to two and half times the length of the Ghost, and the ISD comparison allows no longer than 3 times (132 metres) by my estimates.

It is, if you look at the official updated numbers, CR-90 is 150 and Hammerhead is 117 meters.

There's some screen shots from rebels that suggest that it's closer to 90 meters, it is pictured next to a CR90 and the ghost and is deffinately shorter than the CR90 in rebels. Id say 90-120 meters, 120 meters at the very most. Looks to be just shorter than 2 thirds the length of a CR90 but is shown as a different size in rogue one. The Canon length for it is deffinately wrong at over 300 meters, kinda like the Arquitense, the Arquitense is said to be over 300 meters long but in rebels is closer to 200 meters.

Agreed completely- from scaling on Rebels, i think it's about 100 meters long- DEFINITELY not as long as the CR-90. I think the "official" length was probably a placeholder figure someone dropped in and forgot to actually update later. Another franchise famously had that problem with their technical manual's official lengths. Length issues aside, I wonder how much this could really have loaded in freight...or maybe the intended use was to pull or push large shipping containers? That would explain the huge thrust/mass ratio the little ship can put out.

I have somewhere from 96 to 110 metres, I think. There is a youtube video called Hammerhead Project where they scratch build one, and find many components are exactly the same as the CR90, giving more scaling clues.

Also, the KOTOR games Hammerhead IS 315 metres, so it is obvious the figure got replicated by mistake for the smaller ship.

Latter seems more accurate. Similar issues crop up with Arquitens sizing. I think someone is taking designs and just doubling the design numbers the artists made. It’s something that happens fairly often across all of sci-fi.

Oh, and the Republic-cruiser/Consular class too. It has to fit inside a Venator's belly docking bay, AND have large enough airlocks for Anakin to stand upright in in a diving suit in Clone Wars, so may be sized inconsistently in the show...

If you got a CG model of the Hammerhead, and also of an ISD (of which there are many lying around the internet) you could analyze the volume of each vessel... and then, by assuming approximately equal density for both ships, you could measure how fast the Hammerhead pushed the ISD, and from that work out how fast the Hammerhead would accelerate normally (i.e. when not pushing an ISD). I'd guess it would be pretty fast.

Cheap, low crew numbers, disguisable as a freighter, easily modified, fast, durable, and equiped with a lot of point defense, this is a perfect ship for the rebel Alliance.

After seeing the image from Rebels, where one of these is right next to a CR-90, it looks about 2/3rds the length. So I say 100 meters even. Note that the much, MUCH larger Hammerhead Cruiser is also 300 meters. Apparently there was a typo made, but the lore guys at Lucasarts don't want to change the books painted so....we got this.

The old republic cruiser is the same size as the "official" ship, and the whole mess was started because somebody said it's design was "a variation of the old warship" and people lack math skills.

The arquitens-class is also overestimated: when seen in The Clone Wars, it is only about 50% larger than a consular-class

Yes, it was around 170 metres scaled to the super-Recusant in Clone Wars, and the version in Rebels seems around 200 metres or so when ramming into a Star Destroyer...

It's interesting that there is such a divergent amount of data regarding the statistics. It's almost as if one hand doesn't know what the other is doing over at Lucasfilm. Even in the old days things were relatively cohesive between the various media producing companies because they were getting oversight from them, not perfectly I know but details like ship information were pretty spot on.

i propose that the 4 engine version is the tug version because for a tug the two aspects of a tug is to be able to latch on and have enough engine to push around ships much larger than itself.

Your stats are correct bc in rebels it was rlly small even compared to an at at. And the cr90s look much bigger. But they might have had different models as you said. The rogue one version looks bigger and has extra side parts plus an extra engine

The states are probably so sloppy because it has so many different models and an historc origin. I mean it was used during the era of the Old Republic and even than it was veteran to war. That is like older than Yoda. And Ezra calls it "OLD," thats like literally an understatement of a lifetime. Must be a good model, where can i buy one lol.

Your number definitely seem a lot more accurate, but I'm thinking the Skarif battle was using the tug variant. The extra engine would allow for more thrust (needed for pulling other ships of various size) and allow the power generation for additional tractor beams.

I think that the canon larger size is right but the smaller ones seen in rogue one is the scout with a smaller cut down frame and size for the role of a scout ship.

A smaller size of around 100 metres fits both Rebels and Rogue One perfectly well, to me. The size of the KOTOR games Hammerhead was used by mistake in prior references.

Obviously your analysis of the visual in the movie is accurate with in that context. Also note the holographic comparison with ATATs which also match you size estimate. But I find the idea of a ship that small pushing around an ISD which probably has a thousand times its mass rather silly, the official stat is far more believable for the actual job the ship did in the movie.

The 350 meter length might be for the old republic version...while the Rebels version is about 110 meters long (based on airlocks and entry ramp). I suppose the Rogue One version might be a newer model- or just a version geared more for patrolling a system than the freightliner Rebels version.

I really hope they make a Series of movies/ or shows that take place in the old republic. I would love to see the mass battles like we in the Prequals episode 1-3. But take place during the Mandalorian wars and the Sith wars/Jedi cival wars. :3 I really want to see some melee combat with personal energy shields. XD And some great space battles.

Btw it seems those structures mounted to the airlocks seem to be additional weapons as in the model you can make out 2 dual laser cannons, one mounted to the ventral side of the pod and one in the dorsal side, I doubt they are very strong since you can barely make them out, the pods also seems to posses airlocks which makes sense since they are mounted to the original airlocks

There seems to be 2 different versions or variations. The ones seen in rebels seem to be alittle bit smaller than the ones in Rogue one. The one's in Rogue one seem to be alot more heavily modified or a different variation and would be slightly bigger than the rebels TV one (including a fourth engine, the 2 pods at the air locks, slightly longer neck and 2 superstructure on the neck that include escape pods)

They are mean't to be the same ship. In Rebels, it MUST be no longer than 3 times that of the Ghost, so no longer than 132 metres. And seems nearer to two times as long. Either fits fairly well with the ISD ram.
