The Tier system is still beyond frustrating, even after the 2.0 launch. Possibly even more so now. You can spend 5 matches winning grueling fights, only to get one match where 2 players DC leaving you 3v5. The system just measures the rank and goes "oooooo you just lost to lower level players, better deduct 30% off your tier". The forfeit system just doesn't work, unless all players choose to forfeit, you still get treated as a loss or a quitter (even at a reduced penalty supposedly). So many games stuck at 2/3 vote for forfeit and the one guy just flying around ignoring the team. I'm sure Palpatine is feeding off my rage somewhere, but its such a shame to see the only good thing EA done lately get left buggy and messed so they can develop another cash grab
So pretty much the ranking system will shun out players that are consistently average or below average. They will always stay at the Maverick level. Since matchmaking is so bad at the time of writing, many of us will be placed with either outstanding players or the total opposite. I have been place in tons of matches were players do not understand the mechanics of the game, therefore we end up losing. When the other team finds that I am a decent player, they attack me first to take me out of commission. After that, it is very easy to go after everyone else. I don't hate the game, but I don't love it either.
That ranking system sucks, it's too long to wait 8 weeks for reset, and no possibility to rank up during that time. It's just stupid. that being said, You just made an extrimely easy to undertand guide, thx
