Feel like those turret doors are going to get in the way. Wish they retracted or folded back more. Those manned turrets on the top are so bulky and ugly too. Hopefully those get way sleeker to fit the lines of the ship more. They look hideous.
Modulation and crew size will dominate the PU in gameplay. Large ships and unrealistic crew size will get old quick, ships with multirole options/and a crew size that reflects common sense, the boredom factor and human time restraints will win hands down. CIG have stated that NPC Crew/AI Blades, ''we talked about the possibility to hire NPC's to help you fly your ship, and stuff like that, and that's probably far down the road, its in the roadmap'' wont be saving the day anytime soon, and soloing a large ship on a common sense level is dead as of 3.23+. The galaxy is an interesting ship, an RSI kitbash with 3 current modules, with more to follow and a healthy future ahead of it. PS: I am planning on crewing my ships with only females, i work with many and admire their level headed, patient and work ethic. Plus my 3 teen daughters are great gamers
Really impressed with your work .TY . Just an idea : If they removed the wall between the module area and the hanger area for the base building version of the ship we could make the large base units and lower them to the ground .
The things ships need way more of is windows. I couldn't give a lick about the hot tub in the Phoenix, but I love the widows. One of my favorite features about the cutty is the slide doors. I love some good visibility in multicrew ships
Unlikely - i think it is on hold right now, and the team currently finishing the polaris interior will jump onto the galaxy after that - at least that was the plan communicated at citCon
Blast shields with a Tevarin-style display would be phenomenal. A great mix of the cultural and technological heritage of the UEE expressed in their most modern warship design. Darn I hope they incorporate that but I really don't expect it.
Amazing detail! Also can you check if you can park anvil arrow? Also if possible to park arrow and pisces (or mpuv / tractor) together? It would make an all around great armoured pocket carrier. And are the turrets manned, or can they also be pilot controlled and gimballed? Thank you for your efforts!
Hey, sure, I might check that. Regarding the turrets - the Pilot only controlls the missiles, all turrets are crew controlled - all remote, I assume, they are too small to be manned.
@@ace_tristPWN Aw that sucks! I thought maybe we could have something like the super hornet where the turrets can be controlled by a single pilot like the constellation series, but be gimballed when manned by crew. Also the turrets appear to have not much range of motion judging by its appearance. And thank you for checking the hangar too!
awsome galaxy video. About the back hangar tho, CIG said that it wont have any type of elevator, so basicly your not going to get any kind of ground vehicle into it.
I know, I was thinking about using the module elevator and then the door connecting hangar and module, that obviously only works for very small ones, or, alternatively, walk to the back hangar door and pick stuff up with the heavy handheld tractor beam!
This is amazing, pictures just don't really give you enough, a walk through even in "greybox or whitebox" really gives you what you need to make a decision or just to know what you are actually paying so much money for. Not me but those who have. Amazing work! Hope to see you do the arrastra at some point!

Could the cockpit be made out of the same transparent non-glass material the 600i cockpit is made of? Apparently the 600i cockpit is made from really expensive metal like material and not glass. Could see RSI using that material.
Very inspiring to see he process unfold. Some ideas, Take a look at the back of the firebird engines to sleek up the engine style a bit, having that low profile engine look. Intake on the wings might need manifolds (wave style, which could add to the wing shape and outer hull design) of an element (copper) for collecting particles. Adding two floor windows by the feet? more recon like?...
cant wait to see what it looks like after the exterior is LOD 0. I really dont like the change from concept of the font of the ship. it is way too long. i hope it gets changed but if not maybe it will grow on me.
I've seen the ISC, but I honestly only expected minimal changes to the exterior, if any. It's to polished to discard. They mentioned adding POM detail, that basically means texture, but I don't expect big changes to the shape.
Seriously. I think those videos are terrible... Even if I remove a quarter of the conclusions and reasoning CIG will still disappoint compared to your work. (That's a compliment, just to be clear) :)
