First half of the episode goes very Alien inspired, even the design of the juvenile Zillo Beast, looks a lot like the Xenomorph from Alien with the rounded, armoured head with no visible eyes

@@d.o6356 the first half of season 2 did but the second half came out in 2010 the zillo beast episodes came out in April 2010

He also appeared briefly in the Clone Wars with the rest of Delta Squad. I hope we one day see the rest of the squad in this show.

@@Michyosef yeah its def possible. Especially considering mandalorian, in s2 when they stormed the imperial base, there was some secret cloning process going on. And the scientist there had the exact same uniform seen w the scientists in this ep, so i def think it connects to snoke and eventually palpatine being cloned

In my opinion, the question how Palpatine returned has already been answered by the comics. Don't forget that the clones we know have nothing in common with Palpatines return in Episode 9. All the clones that the Kaminoans made are what clones usually supposed to be: Genetic replicates of the original, identical in their DNA but still different individuals. Just take this clone of the Zillo beast as an example. It's made after the original one, but it's not the same, also it's of course younger than the original. When we talk about Palpatines return, we are not talking about this cloning. It's not a second version of him hanging around. It was basically a soulless copy of his already grown body and when he died in Episode 6, his mind was transferred to this new body. That is why the Palpatine in Episode 9 still has the same memories, knowledge and power of the original, because it's still the same person, just in a new body. Of course, this entire cloning story still might have something to do with it because we know that additionally to his own return, Palpatine also had at least one regular clone of himself (Rey's father). But this one wasn't really force-sensitive as far as we know, or definitely not as strong as the original. Right now, there is no method known to create clones who are definitely force-sensitive. And why would Nala Se know about this, since she has no experience with that. I think that the empire is simply using her research to make better versions of clones. We already saw this one clone assassin in a previous episode of this show who seemed to be more loyal to the empire than the original clone generation. And finally, trying to create force-sensitive clones seems to be what the ex-imperial scientists are trying to do in The Mandalorian. In the report they said that the first experiments with Grogu's blood were a failure, which means they still haven't figured this out 27 years after this Bad Batch episode here.

But this will probably end in the batch ruining the empires plan and by that, saving more lifes in the end. The outcome for the rebellion would definitely have been worse if the empire could have send a bunch of cloned Zillo beasts to attack them or if they would've equipped all their stormtroopers with an armor that is immune to blaster shots.

I think that the empire have found a way to incorporate whatever material the Zillo Beasts hide is made of and will use it for the Death Star's superlaser, because they will need a very strong material that can withstand the energy that is produced by The Kyber Crystals used for the laser.

@@2apocalypsex that's what I'm thinking. A way to contain kyber crystals without having machinery explode or burn up from the raw power of the crystal. Plus its cheaper and more easier to get than beskar. A very cruel way of harvesting material

I heard/read somewhere that there's a possibility that the Zillo Beast was Force sensitive 🤔😓. Which would explain why the Zillo Beast clone was roaring towards the sky right when the Empire comes out of hyperspace, because it knew that it's creators/abusers/oppressors were coming back for it 😰😱🥺😣😔.

Along with the energy cannons firing at the gaps between its scales to put it into a deep sleep 😴 💤 (or in this case, stun it long enough to make it easier to catch and put back on ice 🧊), and Malastare gas is toxic ☣️ to its species 😰😱🥺😣😔.

I thought of the Zillo beast first in the beginning, but then got confused again when they showed the full body for the first time because it was build totally different than the Zillo we knew.
