What happens when one race joins the Separatists and another joins the Republic? Civil war. That's what happened on Jabiim. It wasn't two races, but the planet was divided between Republic loyalists and Separatist sympathizers. Let's briefly discuss this battle because it's considered one of the bloodiest. Before the war, Jabiim had various problems, such as pirates and drought. The Republic didn't help because no one cared about the fate of this planet. During the Clone Wars, Jabiim officially sided with the Republic, but the population sympathized with the Separatists. The Republic and the Jedi's reaction? None. During the first months, nationalists led by Alto Stratus staged a coup. The Republic's reaction? Invasion. The battle was short, probably even less than a week, but it was the bloodiest. Alto was a brilliant tactician and in the first days, he eliminated the Republic's heavy equipment. Additionally, Kenobi was next to one of the machines that exploded, and everyone assumed he had died (we're talking about the first day). Of course, Kenobi survived and was captured by Ventress, who was secretly operating there. The following days brought more and more losses to the Republic. More dead Jedi, more dead clones. In the final days, only Padawans remained. Anakin took on the role of the leader, but his tactical genius wasn't enough. There were too many nationalists. The Republic realized the battle was lost and ordered an evacuation. The Padawans pledged to protect the retreat. Anakin was supposed to be there, but miraculously, Palpatine managed to contact him and asked him to evacuate. Palpatine sent one ship, which was not enough for everyone to escape. Loyalists stayed, and Anakin and the clones fled. As for the remaining Padawans, it's obvious that none survived, but a one young Padawan killed Alto Stratus.
