I remember every Friday night as a kid watching Clone Wars on TV. I felt like I was in Star Wars, going on these adventures. It might be 12 episodes, but 12 episodes is all we need.
Not enough. Show was meant to end with just 40 more episodes - 2 more seasons. I'm still grateful we're getting the true ending nonetheless but TCW means so much more to so many people though!!! >;(
i'm right there with you man, i remember watching the first clone wars movie in theaters and instantly loving it and the show as a kid, what a ride it has been
@@sheev2829 Well, not counting the 12 new eps coming this year, it's around 40-45, maybe 50 tops. But it's just 2 more seasons we need. Brent Friedman confirmed that for me on Twitter.
make dave filoni the head of lucasarts or give him a more important position in the company. he understands star wars better than anyone else except maybe George Lucas himself. Let's be real, the franchise is going through abit of an identity crisis.
I assume you mean LucasFilm, since LucasArts isn't a thing anymore. So basically you want him to be in charge of literally everything, to the point where he can't focus on specific projects. No thanks.
But he´s working on live-action already. Also, I think calling George Lucas (or Dave FIloni) a master is kind of a strech... I mean, they´re great too, but people like Kubrik, Hitchcock, Fritz Lang or Kurosawa are real masters, you know.
@@ROOKllE Ignore him, he hates on everything that isn't Episodes 4, 5 and 6, he looks at any chance to berate you, belittle you and try to demean your opinions, I don't take him seriously, you should not either
The arcs they're using are Bad Batch, Ahsoka's Walkabout, and the Siege of Mandalore. If the season ranks in the viewers and there are enough subscribers maybe they'll release the remaining arcs. Son of Dathomir and the Bounty Hunter arcs are the ones I want to see hands down.
30:00 One does not simply go to the lower levels of Coruscant, one free falls into the lower levels of Coruscant. If you don't splat, you can make it here.
Come on we are only getting half of season 6 (each season usually has 24 episodes). And the show was supposed to last until season 8 which means we will never see about 60 episodes. 60 EPISODES.
At least they're completing the Bad Batch episodes; I've never seen the unfinished reels, so it'll be great to dive into those. Plus, the Siege of Mandalore? I've always wanted to see that. There's also the potential for the RotS lead-in, that's really exciting.
The very first trailer for Clone Wars opening space battle brought back to Revenge of the Sith. Also Anakin sporting the Revenge of the Sith hair style was great. The heroic moments with Ahoska Tano, Coruscant sequence with Ahoska and the final shot of Ray Park's performance capture for Darth Maul with Sam Witwer's voice fighting Ahoska was good towards the end. I am curious as to if that will be Ahoska's final stand?
7 was good.... 8 had a trash story but good production quality. 9 looks great in my opinion, I believe in JJ. That was just the teaser trailer just wait till a few more come out or even just wait till u see the movie
@@brendan8644 tfa relied too heavily on anh. I know they were playing it safe and went for nostalgia but I just felt like i was watching a remake the whole time. I will give credit to the cinematography and score however as both were fantastic.
Can we just talk about Ashley and Dee reading the text messages about the return of the show with Dave just facepalming the whole time? 😂 I was laughing out loud! 😂
Bullestick Kathleen Kennedy is a world class producer, so she should keep her job, she has all the contacts, and knows how to get stuff done. Dave however should be the creative lead for Star Wars, he really understands what Star Wars is, and how to make it epic.
So to get this straight, Ep 1-4: Bad Batch (Previous Story Reels) Ep 5-8: Ahsoka in 1313 (Previous Unfinished Scenes) Ep 9-12: Siege of Mandalore Cut Arcs that had scene/episode story reels released: Crystal Crisis (Story Reels) Boba Fett (Unfinished Scenes) Kashyyyk (Unfinished Scene) Dark Disciple (Unfinished Scenes, turned into a book) Son of Dathomir (Turned into comic) Anything I missed?
im kinda sad the crystal crisis arc got cut. i was always a fan of Anakin and Obi Wan episodes. On the bright side we still have the reels. shame were never gonna get a full render
that seems correct. if they edited some of the eps a bit you could look at 3 eps each and they still have the utapau arc. they woulda shown it tho, i think. in retrospect it's also a bit weird to reverse plot this before the events of ep3 and now a kinda 'filler' plot to wrap up and weave the characters, as it will. it surely is out there. it's a good obiwan and anakin arc.
I see these as basically 3 movies. Even at 22 minutes, 4 part arcs are nearly 90 minutes long. And it being on Disney +, 30 full minute episodes may be a thing. In which case, 2 hours.
JAstudios we wanna see it on the tv screen and fully realized. To many a novel is just a draft script. To fully see it on the live screen, is to have that dream come true
@@Vandicoup Will see about that in november with dinsey+.Filoni likes to suprise fans when clone wars will begin, otherwise we can subscribe petition on unfinished episodes.Coz this 12 episodes its nothing, too many events were skipped, for example "darth maul son of dathomir".We remember that he was captured by Sidious in the end of 5 season, and in trailer he appeared on Mandalor and fought with ahsoka, i think its madness....what they have done?what the point to show 1 arc episode bad batch form 6 season, ahsoka underworld arc from 7 season, and siege of mandalor the last arc from 8 season.Really i do not understang logic!!!
Just in case you didn't want to know, coincidently a tv spot came out regarding the siege of Mandalore yesterday on the 1st anniversary of the day this came out!
34:16-37:00 I love hearing about Sam's passion for Maul and I'm excited to see where they go with him in this season... his words have me very intrigued. Also I love how he was almost reprimanded by Dave 😂😂😂 watch what you say there Sam lmao
13:01 Love how Dee Bradley Baker and Ashley Eckstein are talking like high schoolers about how this went down and Dave Flioni's like "Jesus Christ, please don't embarrass me like that."
The thing I liked best about this panel is that the cast seem to be aware of the memes surrounding the Clone Wars era. The "hello there" "General Kenobi" exchange in particular was great.
The Maul vs Pre Vizsla lightsaber fight, in the Mandalore throne room, (Season 5 episode 15,) is by FAR the best of all of the Clone Wars series. The very NEXT best lightsaber fight, (imo) happens in the episode immediately following that one, Season 5 Episode 16; Maul and Savage vs Sidious. 👍 #RIPSavageOpress #RIPMaul #RIPPalpatine #RIPPreVizsla 🤣
If season 7 was successful for Disney+ (episode 1-8 were slightly altered story reels because Disney was really paying for episode 9-12, but 4 episodes isn't a season), I really want them to make an animated movie version of Star Wars: Darth Maul-Son of Dathomir using the season 7 animation style. ...I wouldn't be upset if they decided to make another Lost Episodes season like they did on Netflix that would consist of Son of Dathomir, the Crystal Crisis on Utapau, and Dark Disciple. ...on second thought, just finish Clone Wars: Legacy! The amount that Dave Filoni loves Cad Bane, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bounty Hunter arc was completed as a movie or miniseries, too. I think there is a decent chance that the Boba Fett movie that was going to be directed by James Mangold was going to adapt the storyline, especially because Mangold loves westerns (Logan is heavily influenced by westerns like Shane...and even features Shane in the background in one scene), and the plot of this storyline was heavily influenced by The Searchers. Alas...if only Solo wouldn't have bombed... To be fair, they could make a series set between Clone Wars and Rebels that's some of these stories could fit into. Based on the Bad Batch story reels vs the final episodes, they didn't change that much. New voice acting and characters models, obviously, but I think doubt there is much add, except for maybe Maul showing up. I do like (and this is probably why Dave and team made the change) that Lux Bonteri is still her main guy. It would have been weird if she had a new love interest for 4 episodes. Maybe Ashoka and Lux got together after the Empire was created. I would be interested in that story.
Did anyone who watched the stream thought the whole Chewbacca actor taking over the stream really odd and how all the host jus ditched the stage for about 10 mins
Dave's too humble, of course we want to see the completion of The Clone Wars, who do you think made Disney go back on there decision to stop the show when they took over Lucasfilm. Dave has got to become the lead on creative.
I was fortunate to be at celebration 2019, this panel was probably the best hour of one of the best weekends of my life. Was so emotional and incredible. Something that I remember really impacting me, was seeing for the first time in the pre-vis that it was actually blue 501st clones who painted their helmets for ahsoka, not just a new orange legion. All we had seen prior to the event were the helmets, so I think everyone assumed their entire armor would have matching orange markings (someone even had a cosplay with that design). The fact that it was the legion she was so close with, who went out of their way to paint their helmets in a mismatched color, really hit home for me. Great visual storytelling, especially with the unfortunate way the end of that arc played out. That tangent aside, the whole experience of this weekend was truly something I’ll never forget. Highly recommend making it to Celebration if you ever have the opportunity to.
I think thats sad too i REALLY wanted to see that here but hes not entirely gone. In one of the clips, you can see him just before the clips cut i remember that exact scene in the old unifnished animation legacy the did, its gotta be him.
Matthew Alexander I didn't see it even after rewatching. I don't think he's in there. Plus, the legacy scene you're thinking of wouldn't fit into the new storyline.
The Crystal Crisis arc was integral in bridging the gap between TCW and ROTS, showing Anakin's change in mindset, and fleshing out an entire planet and its three societal systems. And they abandoned it for spunky clones!!!!
At 49:00 Why do you think The Clone Wars resonates with the fans the way it does? Answer: Dave Filoni Dave Filoni: (humble but true) Thanks but the reason it works is I was taught by the master, George Lucas. I listened to George and did not try to impress him. Listening is impressive. I wish Rian Johnson and/or Kathleen Kennedy would have listened. Now the fan base is so divided. Hopefully, episode 9 restores balance to the force. Honestly, The Clone Wars season 6 will be the one that does it. #bigfacts
