The Force was strong at Star Wars Celebration Chicago, April 11-15, 2019. Take a look back at the biggest Celebration in history and the moments that made it memorable.
@K LaCoste Lol when did they confirm cancelling these "stand alone movies". They are producing three live action shows and are making the new trilogy coming in 2022. Also tlj sales where really high when they came out. What do you think they will be popular 2 years after the movie came out smh
Star Wars is the greatest thing in the world. It’s changed my life and is such a huge part of who I am. I’m sad to have to say goodbye but I will love this saga until the day I die. “Don’t cry because it’s over smile because it happened”
ok , it's good you like star wars so much but maybe you should dial it back a bit and concentrate on real life goals and relationships, just trying to help.
It’s always been my dream to go to a Star Wars Celebration. So many times I have been so close to getting to go, but it never got to happen. I hope that someday soon I can join the rest of the Star Wars fandom and celebrate the greatest film saga ever created
Chicago was my first Celebration and it made me feel like I was 4 years old again on my way to watch Star Wars way back in 77. I just couldn't stop smiling and being all giddy. Thank you all for an amazing time that I will never, ever forget!
This almost made me cry, it is so beautiful! I have some amazing memories from just my one day there! Great job Disney on the convention (besides the store) and the ending video! Love it!
Star Wars helped me out last year when I was moving out of the house for the first time with no parents. It was hard, but Star Wars was there for me. Thank you Star Wars for everything. Love from Australia
Dammit that little girl at the end got me crying. I grew up on star wars and love it. Mark Hamill, George Lucas and everyone who makes the galaxy by their mere presence alone. Thank You for continuing to inspire me with the adventures from a Galaxy Far Far away.
These past 5 days were the best part of my life. Thank you so much Star Wars Celebration. It was my first celebration and it definitely won’t be my last! I love you Star Wars, forever 🖤
Honestly I'd like to see any other fandom live as long and stay as strong as Star Wars has. I mean, Harry Potter came out in 1997, and even it's popularity has gone down. Harry Potter has only been around for 22 years, and Star Wars has been around for 42 years. I love Harry Potter, but it will NEVER live up to Star Wars. Star Wars is irreplaceable, and I hope it's legacy lives on forever.
First time not enjoying a Star Wars saga Congrats happened in early 2000 as well I don’t even like the sequels but ohh boy what’s it been 2 years since this comment and you couldn’t be more wrong.
I love Star wars and all around it. But you are naming the wrong fantasy author. Tolkien has more adult fans than HP, even though the films. But comparing books with films are like apple and pears-
Why did I get so emotional watching this? 😭😭 It was my first time tuning in to #SWCC via livestream and it's been a really awesome experience. It's so encouraging to see fans from around the world come together over a common love of Star Wars. These people are like family ❤❤ Thanks you Star Wars and Lucasfilm for everything you give us!
I feel totally alone in life, but then I see videos like this and realize I do have a place in the world. There are others with hearts and minds just like mine.❤️
That’s my daughter at the very end with R2!💙 Celebration was one of the best experiences of my life and I’m so glad I got to share it with her! We met so many amazing people. Star Wars seriously has the best fans!🙌🏼 Can’t wait for Anaheim🧡
ive been a fan since the start n 46 yrs old...thank you george for creatimg this universe that is always changing growing for better or worse its something we have grown to love...may force be with you always...
Even though I was just there on Friday, it was a dream come true! Thank you Star Wars for putting on such a memorable show in my hometown, making it fun, and showing that this franchise will never die! It will live beyond us! Again, thank you so, so much! May the Force be with you always!
I’m really exited for all the new things that will come this year in my opinion Star Wars is the best community to be a part of cause everyone is sharing there knowledge and no matter who you are this community is always welcome
This weekend was the most beautiful time of my life, it broke my bank, my job but it was just so worth it. So much much to do and see and so little time, it was my first star wars celebration and really looking forward to attending next year, still haven't fully recovered from this celebration but I look back at the memories even If i went by myself but met so many amazing fellow fans from all over the world, really want to social more next year, thank you star wars celebration for the best time. May be force be with you, always.
My first celebration, and it was an unbelievable experience. Didn’t get to see any of the lightsaber fights though, but it was still the best two days of my life
Thats me light saber battling at 3:00 min mark and then again at the slow-mo! Words cannot express what this means to me. Thank you LucasFilm Ltd, this was an unforgettable experience!
This is the SW Chicago Celebration highlight video I was looking for. Puts a big smile on my face and a tear in my eye seeing the love and joy of the FORCE that binds SW fans together. Can wait for Anaheim 2020. #MTFBWYA ALWAYS. #HelloThere from CA
Bringing a smile to your face what about them lying to your face and millions of us saying Hayden and the actors who played jango and boba would be at celebration did you see them nope
OMG 😭😭😭, YOU GUYS MAKE ME CRY. THAT WAS AMAZING . I HOPE THE NEXT ONE IS IN ORLANDO FLORIDA ⭐️! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US. IN A COUNTDOWN FOR EPISODE 9. 😊
This year was great! My first celebration ever. I think what I loved the most about it was seeing how much my daughter enjoyed it. She's waving at the 1:35 mark. :)
I'm really can't express how amazing this weekend, but this video comes pretty close. Thank you to everyone involved w/ Celebration 2019, it was truly a special experience
This was my 1st Celebration and it was amazing. Watching the trailer with everyone. I'll never forget how awesome that felt. The fan-organized Battle at the Bean was a highlight too. And Andi and Warwick and Anthony Daniels. Just so fun! I miss it already.
I am not this kind of cosplay guy but i love Star Wars since 35 years now. And as i watched this video some tears rolled down my face just because to see all this happy people come together and having fun and love for the same thing ! Greetings from Germany !
Attending this year's show was easily one of the most exciting and worthwhile experience of my life. Thank you for organizing and hosting such an amazing time and allowing all of us fans to gather and express our love and appreciation for everything Star Wars.
The opening give me chills. The music and the quote... the whole Celebration looks just awesome. Fabulous Video Edit ! Wish i could be there once in a lifetime. For European not that easy to be part of it. Iam a bit envious. It all starts with looking Star Wars on old broken VHS. Every Sunday with the whole Family at 1990. Too bad my Father died as i hit 16. The Memorys are still alive and they live on in Star Wars.
It´s a bit sad that the many of those part of the new generations won´t recognize names such as Kyle Katarn, Zayne Carrick, Cade Skywalker, Darth Nihilus, Darth Traya, Master Tholme, and so many more
I was there on Saturday and it was such an amazing experience, the sense of community was actually palpable. No one there felt like a stranger. A girl I didn’t know started talking to my girlfriend and I like she had know us forever and she gave us tips that helped us so much during the day and made things so much easier. Star Wars is a huge part of my life. I’ve always flown the Star Wars flag with pride but I was never more proud to be a Star Wars fan then the day I was at Celebration.
I am an emotional mess, from 1978 from when it all started to today, the star wars world was with me my hole life, I just keep using the force to stay alive long enough to see the end. ty Goerge for everything.
I’m in this! I’m the girl in the black bandana waving an orange lightsaber at the Mandalorian panel. Celebration was so much fun! I hope it comes back to Chicago soon!
watching this makes me so happy. this saga was a huge part of my dads childhood, and a huge part of mine. he may not have been able to see the saga end, but i have done so for him. i love this saga so much it gave me something to love as a child, and i’ve carried it with me until now. i will be part of this fandom til i die, for me and my dad.
I live in Chicago and I couldn't get off work to visit the convention but I'm still so happy it happened and I'm so glad there is RU-vid so I can see what I missed.
I love these great Star Wars Celebration events live videos and highlights. The sad thing is... I never gone there and even experience it. 😭😭😭😭😭 And now, it was still there and I know that the spirit was still there but it will never be the same.
