I've only ever seen it twice. The first time at a midnight showing and came away so disappointed but maybe I need to give it another go. Great review 💪
I’ve seen it 3 times, the first I wasn’t sure what I felt. I went and read comments online and started agreeing with it then went and watched a second time and just couldn’t stand it. I rewatched all the sequels again after a couple of years during lockdown with the idea of a clean slate in mind. And I have to say; I wouldn’t have said I enjoyed it more, but i think I respected it more for like the comments in this video about challenging existing themes and trying to create something new. As I believe if left to others we would have just gotten empire strikes back again but not as good similar to how force awakens was almost a copy and paste of a new hope. That being said rise of skywalker is and always will be ass to me lol. I’m at peace with the sequels now I don’t particularly like them and probably won’t watch them again but they’re over and we should all move on lol and respect people who did enjoy them.
@@augustkellerwrites thank you man as I respect yours! It tried to be different. Unfortunately it didn’t stick the landing for a lot of people but I respect it for trying. And I wouldn’t say it’s the worst of the 3. I agreed with most of your points tbh. Have a great day
@@augustkellerwrites well, the action sequences and the use of the red color were spectacular, the rey/kylo romance was the most compelling of the franchise, even more than han/leia, or anakin/padme. Plus rey is one of my fav movies heroines like katniss and trinity. and the themes of self discovery and good vs evil were better explored in this one
