‘The first order was just the beginning’ - Emperor Palpatine SWFT my edit ‘Project Necromancer’ is out I would appreciate if you could leave your feedback Thank you and sorry for sending the same comment on your recent uploads
The Worst Fear a Tyrant or group of Tyrants have is not an invading army or an inner rival seizing Power through a cunning ploy: it is the knowledge that the oppressed People will always outnumber those who oppress. That there is always dissent. Always resistance. Weather It comes in the form of banned contraband from a black market ring or a graffiti artist secretly spraying anti-government messages on a wall.
Perhaps for the next video, it can be one that covers how the criminal underworld has always survived every war that’s engulfed in the galaxy. Gangs, Pirates, Smugglers, and Bounty Hunters persist no matter the era. We see the power of the Hutts and the rise of the Shadow Collective during the Clone Wars, the reign of Crimson Dawn during the Imperial Era, and how pirates continue plaguing the galaxy during the times of the New Republic and the First Order. Heck, governments even work with the criminal underworld. Besides all the times bounty hunters are employed for jobs, the Republic makes a deal with the Hutts to use hyperspace lanes during the Clone Wars, the Empire had a sort of alliance with Jabba and shipped prisoners to work in the Pyke Syndicate’s spice mines on Kessel, and the First Order used groups like the Warbird Gang to pressure worlds to side with it.
"It's not a navy, sir. It's just... People." Say what you will about TROS, but that line was perfect. Easily one of my favourites in SW. Fantastic edit as always
Same for me. I love TROS as a finale, and that final moment with Lando and the Citizen Fleet coming in to protect their galaxy was such a cathartic moment.
“Who deserves what is irrelevant. What matters is who has power. But that is something the Jedi won't teach you, so I'll take you to someone who will.” ― Grand Admiral Thrawn, Star Wars
Wow, this is yet another masterpiece from you SWFT! Excellently crafted tribute with so many epic transitions, scenes, music and overarching story. Many don't realise that First Order origined from the most fanatical side of the Empire's survivors and in the end was crushed by Luke's sacrafice that inspired the Galaxy and united all of it's people to resist the dark. Loved what you did here, keep up the amazing work!
A lot of Andor material again. 🙂 It is still unmatched. I am so thrilled for its second season. Nice cut on Nemik's manifesto. And great choice of music btw.
Just finished this video just now. It’s the perfect tribute! The encapsulation of the First Order as a rising force with a drive that could surpass even its former Imperial Stormtrooper counterparts, all vying to retake the galaxy. But with the resurgence of the dark, there is also the resurgence of the light. And the third part just captures it all so beautifully; new heroes at the mantle, and ordinary people coming together to continue the fight. A grand tribute for a beautiful and extremely underrated Star Wars trilogy.
Ooh, that is INDEED a nice hidden touch, I’ll need to look through that again! Resistance is a smaller show but it does give a nice little glimpse at the First Order in its gradual rise as it started to encroach more and more on smaller outposts before fully going into Conquest mode after TFA.
Great as always! I really like the black and white- filter you put over the "older" scenes of the empire. It visualizes the words from 3:02 sooo well! History indeed repeats itself.
This was amazing! The lines you chose hit even harder in your interpretation. Outstanding work, thank you! I wish someone with good writing skills (like Tony Gilroy and his team) made a show about the rise of the First Order, when they were a small group of rebels. What made those young men to become disillusioned and frustrated by the New Republic and to look back at the Empire as some kind of romanticized ideal of might, prosperity and order. Something like what happened in Germany between WWI and WWII.
Ooh, can’t wait for this one! A criminally underrated faction; more goal-driven and emboldened than even some of the former Imperial counterparts, all with the goal of retaking the Galaxy.
Immediately recognized the first song from the Crown. Shows that so many were forced or felt led to bow to the order just because of the familiarity of the Emperor’s throne.
This was such an amazing, beautiful, and inspirational video. I loved it, great work. You know what would be cool to see is an Inquisitor video, that would be cool
true. fascism democracy lliberalism communism everything! but star wars shows ideologies at its best. fascism with the oppression and democracy with its useless beaucracy and how ineffective it is. Also ignoring facs and literally knowing that there could be a BIG attack planned against them but not even giving the strenght to look out for it..... it really shows you that there is no perfect ideology since we humans arent perfect. corruption will never truly die since people are being born everyday and later even if its just one, see that there is a easier way with money or to get money and ignore the rules. we have to take the "best" possible ideology there is for us and try our best to not be to incompetent and kill most of the corruption. Thats the only way. revolution and killing and wars were never the long term solution meaning they called for more revolutions and wars.
So many criticize the First Order for being too similar to the Empire (and yes there is a very reasonable discussion to be had about how the sequels as a whole tended to borrow too much from the original trilogy). However I think there's a very poignant lesson to take from this. Evil can never be truly defeated and if we become complacent then the same evils we once thought gone will rise again. We've seen this countless times throughout our own history and even within our own lifetimes. I think what we're supposed to take from the First Order is that we must be vigilant in not allowing the mistakes of the past to be repeated. To not allow the sacrifices of our ancestors to be negated by our refusal to acknowledge a resurgent threat. The battle against the "dark side" is never over and we must always be prepared for our part in that fight.
"The First Order is not the Empire. We are purer. We have been through the crucible and emerged stronger." "I agree, Phasma. The First Order is not the Empire. But perhaps, one day, if we all work very hard and do our very, very best... it could be." ― Phasma and Terex, Star Wars
Dude! This is one of your best videos! It's so good and makes the first order seem so scary and the resistance and hope so wholesome! This is amazing man!
Honestly, this tribute video shows me that the build up to the First Order, is a lot more interesting than the First Order itself. In the end, they were just Empire 2.0.
There is an episode where Saw Gerrera challenges Mon Mothma and everything happens as he says, could you make a video of that conversation or is there a video like that?
Decades of movies and shows focused of this war has been an incredible journey for the fans. Every generation, every adventure, every story, new Jedi & Sith, new Republicans and Serparatists have been fighting this war for control of the ENTIRE galaxy has what made Star Wars one of the most loved franchises.
This was such a great tribute about the First Order. Despite its flaws, I still enjoyed the sequel trilogy mostly because of the Resistance and the First Order.
Great video as always. However im always reminded me, personally, of such potential lost in the sequel trilogy. If anything, your video makes me forget, at least for a moment.
The lesson I take from history is that tyranny, whilst brutal and cruel and unbearable, never lasts. It always ends, it always fails, it always falls. And whilst we won't always succeed in keeping it from rising again, we will succeed in fighting back and bringing it down if it does rise again.
You're... Joking right? The sequels are trash, everything about them is trash. Nothing good came from them. Yeah his speech was cool but in reality why did he hate the Republic? Why is he there? The sequels are not even legends, there simply a mistake that happens to be attached to Starwars
@@sniperaim333 I'm completely serious and I completely disagree with you. I know one thing's for sure, nothing good ever came of you leaving that comment. There are all sorts of things I don't like, but you don't see me going around on random comments telling people what they like is trash. Do something more productive with your life instead of spreading your misery around to other people like the vile sickness that it is.
This Truly was Incredible Masterpiece for The First Order. Hey Swift can you please make a Tribute to The Leader of The First Order Supreme Leader Snoke?
10 seconds in and I have chills! I didn’t initially want to watch this because of my feelings towards the sequels, but this is so well done! You somehow managed to make the first order and how it first came to be, and then was destroyed epic. This is such a good mix of all of the Disney shows showing how the first order came to be. But also Wyatt failed.
“However, that is not where I believe the true victory came from. What Rey achieved on Exegol is beyond my comprehension. But it was not just the Jedi that brought Palpatine to defeat. Not really. It was us. It was the great mass of people who had been forced to repeatedly stare into the depths of Palpatine’s evil intentions and then chose to reject him. Starships, fighters, freighters, and cruisers from across the galaxy had come to Exegol not just after hearing the call from General Lando Calrissian, but because Palpatine’s broadcast had terrified and motivated them in equal measure. It is not yet even clear if many who came were totally convinced it even was Palpatine. But it didn’t matter. Because regardless of what the Centrists, or the Imperial remnant, or the First Order had believed-the galaxy did not long for a return to Empire. While there have been so many mistakes and errors made over the last three decades in how we have talked about the years of Imperial rule, enough of the message had made it through. Enough people knew what the Empire stood for. What it meant. What it promised. And they came out to fight against it.” - Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
‘The first order was just the beginning’ - Emperor Palpatine SWFT my edit ‘Project Necromancer’ is out I would appreciate if you could leave your feedback Thank you
"we cannnot wait for mon mothma to take action she saved this galaxy from the dangers of oppression" - that woman was almost single handedly responsible for the success of the empire after the death stars completion. If it wasn't for jyn erso the rebellion would have failed because of mon mothmas decision to not attack scariff.
It wasn't her decision not to attack, it was the Rebel Council's vote. She also led the war effort post-Yavin so naturally history would see her as the person who led the Rebellion to victory.
The black and white flash backs that make us remember what each generation fought for and that it was the sequels turn to keep that dream alive gave me chills.
Wow. You did well. Sure the sequel trilogy is bad, but you managed to find the good in it. Thank you for that. I have an idea for another tribute: Droids. They’re everywhere in the galaxy, some are good, some are bad, some can think outside of their programming and some are only good doing what they’re told. Droids around the galaxy deserves a tribute like this. They are one of the best things in Star Wars. Please think about it.
I think the one reason i love star wars so much is that I can imagine myself living in an alternate universe where the good guys win. Our planet is so similiar to the empire and the first order that it is depressing. the ongoing genocides by the most powerful and loud over rule any spark of resistance or freedom movement for what is right. Long live the rebellion and the resistance. Long live the will of the people. Free the people of palestine and the rest of the world from the tyranny and oppression of the west☮️
I have my own timeline for "Star Wars". And my First Order in this new timeline of mine happens at "KOTOR". But I just CAN NOT decide on what to do regarding Malachore. Does anyone have advice for me ?
