This is my Holy Grail of Star Wars figures! For as long as I can remember I have wanted the definitive ROTJ Boba Fett in 3.75 inch and we’ve finally got it. Can’t wait until mine arrives! Thanks for the review Tim!
one of the BEST FIGURES EVER that hasbro has made i totally need him and I'm really hoping they'll do boba from the mandalorian either his repainted armor or his tatooine outfit With tusken raider stuff and rifle
I just received an order of 3 VC ROTJ Fett and... surprise! one of them has the computer readout bars reccesed, not only that but they did made the silver square in the little plate in the middle of the chest recessed too! So now its as accurate as possible.
Great review Tim! We totally concur about your minor criticisms. Biggest things are the rangefinder and chest readout. Are they deal breakers? No, but given that the VOTC Boba Fett from 17 years ago had a rangefinder that could swivel and the new ARC Trooper 3-pack all had rangefinders that could swivel, it is a bit unfortunate. Still, even with those minor nitpicks, we absolutely agree, this is one of the BEST 3.75” Star Wars figures of all time!
Got mine a few days ago. Got the updated chest armor readout version. The details are really amazing for a figure this size. Outstanding. A must have if you're a Boba Fett fan.
The more recent articulation additions have been much wanted and needed, imo. I wish Hasbro would have used the rocker ankles on the Rogue One Stormtrooper, but it's still a 99% definitive version. Hopefully, we'll get an updated Snowtrooper and Biker Scout soon... which need to be done at this point. Better articulation and better proportions.
I really like how you pose these guys Tim. I find myself going back and watching your videos again once I get the figure (months after you do) to try to recreate how you have him holding his gun for example. Very nice indeed and thank you!
Awesome figure!.But When Hasbro releases Boba from the Mandalorian with a removable helmet..That is gonna be one of the great days of my SW collecting life!!
It's incredilble! Finally, dare i say, a definitive 3.75" Boba Fett? Just amazing, mate. I've preordered 2, so i can keep one carded next to my carded Mando (full Beskar). Thanks for the review!
WOW , phenomonal figure , i think hasbro has really kicked a goal on this one . Carnt wait to get it , hopefully they ‘dump’ the orange cards down here in Oz . 😃😃cheers for the review Bossk !👍🏻👍🏻
I have been waiting for this a long, long time! Boba is my fav character next to revan and grievous, and the ROTJ armour is the best look for Boba! I. need. this.
Looks fantastic! They’ve nailed Boba Fett after many attempts! Look forward to getting this wave. Was looking at Hasbro Pulse UK but they won’t be delivering to Northern Ireland. Star Action Figures & In Demand Toys are always great & will always get my business.
Excellent figure! Can't wait till we get ours! Crazy they forgot to sculpt his readout on the chest plate. The paint is really really good! Another great review Mr. Bossk!
This one is going to be extremely hard to find in the wild! Beautifully made and definitely the top figure in the Vintage Collection! Are there any variants with the card back colors? I’ve seen images with an orange background but this one is yellow.
The very first thing I noticed when I got mine was the missing three red digital readout lines on his chest armor and sure enough you caught that in your review as well. It’s almost as if Hasbro intentionally omits something on every figure to prevent themselves from achieving perfection. But other than that I agree with you. This is a fantastic figure. Mine came with the yellow coloring too. Whoever gets the orange one is going to strike gold as I predict it becomes one of the most valuable variants ever.
That's a REALLY nice figure, indeed. I just bought it a few days ago only because it was on sale. I mean, I have a few Boba Fetts already. I actually had no idea how well made it is. Thank you for you in depth reviews! For me, that I collect everything carded, it's always nice to see the details.
I had one on pre-order for almost 6 months, but found them on eBay and now that they're cropping up, I ended up cancelling my preorder...and should have it by this Friday. Honestly, it's almost the perfect figure, and I have waited a long time to own it. But it still isn't the ESB paint. I may have to order another one and paint it myself.
I'm so glad I waited cos I knew, even when this first one was released, that they would release a variant with the lights on his chest. Just ordered that version off SAF. Can't wait!
Wow they did a really excellent job on this one. Makes you wonder what other characters they may revisit like this. The helmet not being removable doesn’t bother me was a cool feature on there prior release. Must still unnecessary as he never remove his helmet in those films. The comparison To the last version which at one point also held to a higher esteem. He is now laughable compared to this almost like he just jumped up off the screen into the palm of your hand.
It’s a very nice figure, but I have a few little bugbears with it. The jetpack I feel looks like it’s color graded closer to the AOTC Jango version than the ROTJ Boba version (with deeper blue instead of teal, orange red instead of crimson, and a neon yellow instead of a burnt orange), and the missing IFF chipslot on the breastplate also bugs me a bit. Interesting that the kneepads are actually a floating-ish piece though
Yes, this is indeed a great figure. I really like the stiff blaster. And he really can hold it well with his right hand. But... unfortunately he can't get a grip on it with his left hand. It's not open enough to hold it. And it's to stiff to force it upon the weapon. But I really do like this stiffened blaster. It really looks good.
Great review! I just received this figure today and I love it. It’s my first purchase in Vintage Collection and I’m sure there will be many more. Take care!!
Really looking forward to receiving this figure. I'm pretty sure that my orange cardback version will have the sculpted digital bars to make it even more special!
Strange that the digital readout was on the pre-order pictures? that's quite an omission...but you seem happy and I'll be happy hanging him from my wall when he lands! Not a lover of the Jedi paint/scheme, as I am a more dull Empire lover, Bossk looked happy too
Hey, Tim. Nice review. I don't have mine yet, but I'd heard about that immobile rangefinder ... seems like an inexplicable error to me. How does Hasbro manage to make the thing mobile on other Boba Fetts before now, but FAIL on their most exceptional effort to date? And, to compound that mistake, the omission of the 2 red lines on the breastplate? Nice spot ... I hadn't been aware of that. Again, Hasbro got this detail right so many times before. What happened this time? Where were the spot checkers? You have to wonder. Sheesh. Anyway, thanks again. Looking forward to your review on the others in this wave.
Just got mine today, the sculpt and look is superb, but the plastic they have used is just too soft. Can't get him to hold the weapon in both hands without the weapon bending.
Hi Tim! Thanks for this review. I discovered this channel about a month ago. This video sold me on buying this over the Black Series Deluxe one. The recent running change pretty much made this figure perfect, but even without that, the sculpt is just too good to judge for the flaws. I've mainly collected Black Series the last few years, but this VC one had me back. I personally think the Deluxe one is good, but has worse flaws than this VC one. Keep the channel going!
