Star Wars theory has another content creator on Nerd Theory, where he then says he has a problem with Theory’s channel and from there on it gets a little awkward...
@@Wackaz "nice strawman tho" dont get offended cowboy, no reason to quote the US constitution and their yippie kayé laws when your talking Star Wars lol
He doesn’t respect this guy for being honest? Plus having open conversations? It does not make sense …. Theory was not ok to react this way to speak to him like this he needed to regulate himself before speaking like this because he basically blamed this kid for being open plus honest saying that he was being real but he wasn’t being real. Star Wars the Rory was being toxic plus narcissistic here.
@@nickandrews2255 Not sure if you thought about this all the way through. Levi came in on the stream and planned his speech with the hope of getting Theory to change his way of communicating with the Star Wars community...because he didn't like his blunt nature. And when confronted with Theory's blunt response, he wasn't prepared and tried to backtrack, whilst also saying "I'm sorry you feel that way." A disingenuous response because it's obvious his speech was intentional. Was the kid wrong in having his opinion? Maybe no. But choosing to air his grievance with Theory on this particular stream after having been invited on as a guest of all things is simply bad form. Nothing toxic and narcissistic here.
@@nickandrews2255 that’s not the problem. The problem is SWT invites this dude onto this platform to promote his channel and the way he does it is by highlighting his problems with SWT. His reaction was completely fair. I mean who wouldn’t react this way after someone bashes your channel and your views on SW. This is not about opinions about SW, it’s more about the disrespectful manner in which he addresses the issues he has with his channel.
Yeah, this is star wars chanel, not politics. He doesnt care about law of other country and he is right. People nowdays want everything to be politicly correct and it is ridicolous.
that was very irresponsible of Theory who is a lot older and bigger than that kid and act like he was being attacked. Like dude he didn't mean to insult you
Yeah nah in your dweeby little Theory fanbase you think he came out on top. When in reality to the rest of the world it exposed what a toxic little man he really is. There are hundreds of Reddit threads with thousands of comments of people talking down on Star Wars Theory for his crappy actions
@@thehahvokexperience I get whaf your saying but still, what the other guy was trying to say was pretty stupid, people should stop taking others opinions so serious, Star wars theory is no embassador, he doesn't have to censor himself.
Theory is very wise and this video shows the world. As an intelligent person, he let this young man express his feelings in front of everyone else and then proceeded to put him in a mental blender. He has a tactical debate strategy and it shows when he reacts one on one with the people talking down on him. Good stuff.
Because he knows he was jumping him intentionally outside what the topic was. And yeah he did mean it otherwise why bring it up. Theory is in the right to defend himself. The other dude already made things clear and Theory wasn't gonna let him play the victim. Dont be mad at Theory for being more real than the other dude saying he likes everything star wars.. thats very hard to believe because i love certain things to like star wars but know that nothing is perfect and we are never gonna subjectivity love everything. If you like anything truthfully thats fine but dont act like a robot and actually have a opinion and be real.
Theory was literally rambling for like 10 minutes and completely missing the point the guy was trying to make, he wasn’t even hostile and theory went super ego lmao
Tbf, this is a grey zone between both. Like, I can see where he's coming from, it can be a pain to see people who have influence make claims that you think are wrong. Where you know they could easily add 2 words to make seem like less of a claim and more of an opinion. But at the same time, humans generally don't function like that and if you try to do that you're gonna step into censorship so yeah...
@jonas8993 tbf, it's not about who's human or who's opinion it is, it's when you become popular enough to be well known and how much people will get mad at you for stating a believe or how you put views in things. Guys like lev are just that where he wants to shut you down because you don't agree to him because he's a content creator.
@@JordanWheeler1999 yeah but idk I said similar things to friends who aren't content creators at all or anything. It didn't have anything to do with that it was just painful to hear ppl who don't like something word it like "it's bad".
@@jonas8993 it depends on the content or movie. It's painful for you or your friend because IT'S YOUR favorite movie or content. There's always different sides of enjoyers, mix feelings, not liking, and defenders that just blindly defends something without prove or a reason behind it. It's like going to a fast food place, you decide to order the food and when you taste it and taste like shit, would you A. Like it and demand others to like it because you say so or B. Dislike it and won't come back ever again
@@JordanWheeler1999 yeah I get that but, all I'm saying is I can get upset if I'm talking about a movie with a friend, I like it, he doesn't, and he says "this movie is shit". Because in my brain, when you make claim, it's provocative, and it's not about if you like it or not, it's about criticizing something for being shit. But my friends tell me, doesn't matter the way we word it it's always just an opinion. I guess we just have different ways to express ourselves
When you burn through your 5 minute high school presentation inside of 2 minutes because of nervous verbal diarrhoea. 😂 I think even he realised early on that this wasn’t the social justice slam dunk that he was hoping for. How’s he supposed to impress that blue-haired Starbucks barista now!?
Great example of living in an echo chamber. Bro probably thought he was a “Real” fan because he knew quotes from a video game that all his buddies play and tell him his StarWars opinions are Gods truth.
Agreed and even theory brought him back on stream jus him and theory and they talked it out and reached an understanding, that is how we should handle things jus calmly and talking it out if people don't agree then big deal we all have separate opinions, and I respect that :)
@@Shadowkey392 Anybody can have a good point, it doesn't mean you call out the guy who invited you onto his panel to support awareness for smaller channels in front of so many others. Time and place for everything. As far as SWT was concerned, this was the first time they met... you don't start off a first impression meeting done on a favor to call someone out, unless he explicitly said... that was the point of the invitation. SWT gets enough of that shit constantly.
@@darthgamer9468Why does it hold up? Because I just discovered it today and it’s satisfying to see such a weaselly little wanker get put in his place. Justice is satisfying to witness. That’s universal. Every word that “Levi” says just oozes with insincerity, as though he sees himself as an altruistic force for good😂. He’s claiming such divine purpose when in reality it’s totally about self-promotion. He’s quite young though so he’s probably convinced himself he’s the good guy and just believes it really really hard. It’ll take years for that level of denial to wear off. His 20s will do that. This is the most poorly concealed covert narcissism I think I’ve ever seen. This guy would probably be a politician by now but he made the fatal mistake of forgetting to call people he disagrees with “far-right”. 🤷🏻♂️
Theory? Articulate? LMAFAOO half of the sentences Theory vomits out here don’t even make sense. He misuses words and terms like a child trying to sound smart and spouts contradictory, illogical word salad.

Or we have a responsibility to be PC in how we say things (which means don't actually be true to yourself)? Which is it actually. I think we know the answer.
@elmoninjaking94 How so? He said that we as Star Wars fans could be nicer to each other. That's all. Theory threw a six-year-old tantrum about it and literally offered no defense other than, "I don't have to be nice."
A year after this first uploaded I’m still salty.. Levi, on behalf of the internet, thank you for ruining literally any other small channels’ opportunities to work with Theory
Great to see that as of 2024 Theory has finally ditched the Lunatics who are a part of the Empire and has joined the Rebellion to fight for the future of SW.
Theory’s completely in the right. Levi came on the stream with a smug attitude and was looking for that reaction. He’s a teenager trying to tell a grown ass millionaire how to run his own channel / business. It’s like demanding pewdiepie to make every single type of content there is on earth because he’s the biggest RU-vidr and needs to please the masses. Levi has no idea how the world works.
So, being asked a polite, if badly timed, question about essentially aggressive gatekeeping through phrasing and tone etc, in a community known for being inarguably the most toxic fan base at times and his response is immediately aggressive, goal shifting victimhood of ‘I am bEiNg CeNsOrEd!!’ When the question was explicitly about phrasing, not content without a split second of consideration in his response… yeh, totally proved him wrong on that one genius.
@@sophia_comicart and yet confusing passive aggressivness with poor timing is a genious move. If Theory does not like some movie or show he is not keeping you from watching it or liking it. You are the one calling people who doesn't like what you like toxic and gatekeepers. You and other X mobs are being hypocrites without realizing it.
No, that's not his point, that's his justification. He's saying you that because of X,Y, Z reason, you have to watch your mouth. He's a little wannabe, tinpot dictator, and he got his shit handed to like he deserved.
I don't think they should watch what they say anymore than as a small channel. Doing what they do is what got them big, so why change what they are (or pretend they're something else). If people don't want to watch a channel/creator, then don't.
I'm glad he brought up the whole "American politics" thing. Americans seem to expect everyone, even non-americans, to uphold their constitution and tailor their actions and beliefs around the current american political climate even on topics which have nothing to do with politics or America. You'll see people debating within fandoms and some random guy will start saying "As per the constitution this is why you are wrong." It's strange.
You hardly see that so stop the nonsense. He wasn’t saying people need to follow the American constitution, he was using it as a means to express a certain rule in it that he believes would help the fandom. You took this the wrong way and then generalized Americans. Nice one.
Nah theory is just a dick and most of all a hypocrite that's why he's been exposed multiple times as being an assh*le there's been British star wars youtubers that have called him out because he cried like a little b*tch because he didn't get invited to the UK star wars celebration.
Just watching this for the first time. This guy Levi is pretty much an arctype for disney star wars fans. Can't even hold to their convictions. Will slither and contort to get any kond of clout.
Why are you generalizing a section of the fan base because of this one guy? Other than Levi, not once have I ever seen a Star Wars fan, pre Lucas or post Lucas, try to get "clout." Get off TikTok dawg
@invaderhemp1138 I'm observing the landscape. We've seen disney star wars fans literally say something that was g canon, wasn't. And then they say it's legends and legends didn't matter. But in the same week, wanna talk about Bal'demnic and cortisis. But I thought it didn't matter?
@@thedarkmelddepot4368 Do you not know what "based off this one guy" meant? I'll dumb it down for you. I was acknowledging that yes, Levi, was clout chasing, and because of that, you ran with the idea that all of a specific section of the fan base, is the same way. That's what we able minded adults call a generalization. Can you say generalization? Yay! We did it! We did it! Yeah! Yeah we did it!
@invaderhemp1138 its been years, and I just saw this very recently yet encompasses alot of the BS disingenuous qualities of Disney defenders I deal with on a daily basis.
Theory has been pushed around for far to long. I am glad to see our guy Theory standing up for himself against these people like Levi who have an agenda.
Theory was loving the sequels also after they came out, he couldn’t say anything bad about them. Now all he does is ride the fence and keep stirring the pot.
I mean yeah you can tell Theory was pissed and a bit harsh on him but I understand that. You give a chance to small channel to come to your stream to talk about Star Wars and he starts with that he has a problem with your channel like wtf
I cringe everytime he tries to appropriate Star Wars quotes. "This war is a failure to listen." What war? This kid is a narcissistic drama queen and the only reason he's "apologizing" profusely is not because he regret what he said, he's regretting that it landed with a thud, and regrets not knowing that Theory has the capacity to defend himself with more vigor than he expected. Fortunately, I don't think this kid has enough talent to pose any obnoxious threat in the future but he certainly has ambition by-way of leeching off of bigger users. Watch, he will attempt to start more little fake wars with bigger names whilst pretending this "war is a failure to listen". May he go ignored evermore.
They’re both drama queens. Legit now I see his stans commenting on every video about how shit the Levi guy is. Man, Star Wars theory was making huge drama by not taking his apology and continuing this instead of kicking him from the beginning.
@@danielkim255 levis apology isnt genuine. Its just annoying when americans try and put their constitutions on the rest of the world. He only apologised because the senate didnt support him lol empty applause. But the name levi makes me think whiny jew also lolol
Dude tried to emotionally manipulate Theory into bending the knee. But dude doesn't realize the reason Theory has so much more subs is precisely because he *doesn't* bend the knee.
I can't stand this new generation of "empathetic" and "caring" hostility. Don't try to shake someone's hand with a dagger behind your back. Be a man and come as an enemy.
I was trying to find the right words for this behavior. "Empathetic hostility" is a great term for it. He threw the first punch and then tried to dress it up with positive language. Then as soon as he took a few hits back, he just kept pretending that his intention wasn't to throw punches. What a weak and confusing demeanor to carry.
It feel ya on that even though im technically a part of that generation. Idk maybe im just in between the old school and stuff but damn entertainment is going down to hell now..
Man.. seeing theory listening, processing and waiting for a proper come back was very instersiting to see. Not many people has this capability. Kudos to you.
I love the agression theory shows here because he wields it in a just way. StarWars means something to people like me and theory and I'm not ever changing that
Why is this dude shaking his head while theory is literally reciting back exactly what he was saying and implying? Like what else did he mean? He just didn’t realize he wasn’t going to be able to control the situation like he had played it out in his head, and then learned 5 seconds into theory speaking.
You found this because of the more recent controversy, didn’t you? I know I did. It’s great to see SWT is as decent a bloke as he seemed in that response video.
That’s what we call f’ing around and finding out. Everything that kid said was so cringe and out of place, and not to mention flat out wrong. Theory’s response was spot on!
Levi is like every democrat in America. Start to hit with facts and just argue and argue back. This why most Americans can’t have a logical conversation now. This is case in point. Yes I know theory is Canadian.
I've only really just started following Theory the last few weeks and the fact he does say it how he sees it is something I respect greatly and the way this issue was handled was mature and professional and that earned a sub from me not because of how big the channel is but because of how real he is I don't always agree with everything he says but it's not the things we have in common and can get along but the things we don't have in common yet can still get along that's the real beauty of being human beings, just because I don't agree with an opinion doesn't mean I can't respect it
Theory destroyed that guy. And it was well deserved. I loathe these kinds of “fans”…the self-righteousness, the limp, holier than thou, tone policing. “Oh don’t say it sucks! Every opinion is valid! You have a responsibility to be super nice!” Nope. The sequels objectively suck. And I’m tired of twerps insisting that nobody should be allowed to say it.
I’ve had manipulate shitbags like that do the same exact type of things and try to “be friends”, all while weaseling around. I don’t tolerate that shit anymore, and I’m very proud that Theory stood up for himself against this bullying. It’s weak, and should be called out
It's not bullying. Theory is the bully here. He's the big youtube channel who decided to be a complete arse to Levi who wasn't even criticising him but rather saying that theory had a responsibility. You dumb fucks need to stop blindly following theory considering he's a huge egotistical arrogant wanker
I'll say this, the best thing that one can do for themselves is to be themselves rather than just trying to accomodate to everyone. In life you can't please everyone and you can't be liked by everyone, it's how things are. Theory being himself is best thing he could ever do for himself. Also bringing US politics and what not to someone that's not even from there is a little silly ngl
Let me share the best part of this 16:34 *watch Lauren*, and go back and watch Lauren as she immediately knows what's coming at 0:35. Could predict the weather with these facial expressions.
This is what happens when you dont read the room. Kid was disingenuous and all of the empty apologies made it even worse. A masterclass on how you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
The problem with Levi isn’t that he’s wrong it’s that he’s not very well spoken and he also has terrible timing. He actually makes a valid point. There’s a difference between saying “This show is absolute trash and anyone who likes it doesn’t understand Star Wars.” Which is an extremely arrogant way of saying something. VS “Personally I think the show is trash, and to me, it doesn’t really feel like Star Wars”. Pretty sure that’s the point Levi wanted to make, but he’s a little immature and didn’t know how to articulate his thoughts in the moment, which is what led him to go on a tangent, babbling about things he shouldn’t. Plus he was probably nervous. Rather than targeting Theory’s channel Levi should’ve just made a general statement about how he feels opinions can be expressed more respectfully in the Star Wars community as a whole. Nothing wrong with that, and it might’ve even sparked some interesting conversation with Theory and avoided all the drama. PS: I also think it wasn’t necessary for Theory to go off on him for as long as he did. He could’ve easily made his point and moved on without adding heaps of drama to the situation. It felt childish to see him ranting at someone who is clearly much younger and less mature than him for over 12 minutes live on stream. In doing so he made himself look almost as immature as Levi.
I think theory missed the point. He should have been mad at the guy’s request for censorship but instead it seemed he was mad cause the dude took shots at him. Feels pretty cringe for everyone present
Some people don't realize, specially now that things can be described. A wall can be blue and that is not an opinion. Art can be described because there is a standard to art. There are rules for storytelling, there are rules for cinematography, there are rules for photography, there are rules for character development. And if that story contains a philosophical analysis of a subject, like Star Wars contains, or the development of a particular thesis, like Star Wars does, there are rules to logic. There are certain things you can say and certain things you cannot say. A story has to have logic, a character has to be cohesive, a genre needs to be respected, specially if you're not the author of a story, because we as artists communicate to each other through our work. The Expanded Universe made a lot of mistakes in that regard. The Disney Universe has adopted these mistakes and changed them in a way that they can legally benefit. Both universes are completely uncoherent to the George Lucas' Universe, sadly. The philosophies of the characters are not the same, the genre of the story is not the same, the structure of the stories are forced like one from an unexperienced writer would be. The amount of problems are endless.
basically all of them except theory. most of their channels are now just reaction channels with very little actual insight. not on this panel but star wars explained is probably the biggest shill channel but at least they explain why they think disney crap is good.
