Regarding TIE Phantom Raid is a card ability, however it does not capture, defeat, or damage a card. Instead it modifies the power of the unit during the attack. Units with raid can attack and kill the phantom. Strike True and Overwhelming Barrage however cannot deal damage to the Phantom, they specify that the unit deals the damage, however it is still a card ability.
If a unit 2/2 has shield. Any -2/-2 event ability card etc will reduce it to 0/0. It won’t deal damage to the shields so the unit is NOT taking damage or the shields would go first and not the power / hp. So cards like Snoke, Make an opening, Luke Skywalker etc will reduce Lurking TIE Phantom’s Hp to zero, thus it gets defeat by having no hp.

@@oldboysnewtoys Mystic Reflection can be similarly used in a Heroic Force deck. Entrenched is another good way to deal with Lurking TIE Phantom if you want to avoid the Space Arena. Or you could simply steal it with Traitorous.
I need a Sandcrawler in the next set please, with the ability to capture a unit droid or vehicle perhaps and redistribute its upgrades to your own units or add one as a resource.
In regards to upgrades and removing abilities: if the upgrade says "Attached unit gains..." then that is an ability given to the unit and it will be lost
