I've had some good things pay off lately after a lot of struggle, and that bit has been involuntarily playing in my head. It's what brought me here. It's the perfect sound to match with the feeling of utter victory.
Seeing it in theaters for the 40th anniversary release for the very first time got me teary-eyed since I never got to see it when it was released back then!
This was by far my most favorite scene in all and everything Star Wars!! This was the first time we ever got to see a Jedi in their full prime with an iconic soundtrack to go along with it!!!!
I like this sequence in the movie because it establishes the character development of all the mains: Luke has become a badass, Leia tough and sexy, Han Solo is a leader and a good shot, Lando is sly, Chewbacca is all muscle, R2D2 is full of tricks, and C3PO is a capable decoy.
It's such a grand first act. It's so underrated- Vader's arrival, Jabba's Palace, The Sarlacc Pit... idk why so many people dismiss it or pretend it drags on.
@@linkthepig4219 Well it does drag a bit but we do need to catch-up with where our heroes are at since we are in media res of them executing the plan to rescue Han but as I've rewatched this movie more and more I found it doesn't NEARLY drag as long as some claim. It's fairly beat to beat.
Return of the Jedi is my favorite Star Wars film, with this scene easily being one of the best moments. Seeing Luke with his green lightsaber (green is my favorite color) and this music in the background is nothing short of epic! The Force will always be with you John Williams!
Hearing this in Season 7 just made my heart soar because when they bring out the classic John Williams music in a series that has mostly not done that you know it's a special occasion.
Return of the Jedi is criminally underrated - so many of the people who complain about it dont realise half the things they love about Star Wars (E.g Jabba, the Emperor) comes from this film
The final portion of this score (Sail Barge Assault) may singlehandedly capture the feeling of the young Rebels gaining victory in first three Star Wars movies against the "scum and villainy" rampant in the galaxy... yes that includes the Empire. John Williams mastered an entire genre with this score.
Whenever I was in a 4-hour chem lab in undergrad, the part at 5:03 would always come to mind as I was leaving because I was always ecstatic to get the hell out of there regardless of what kind of mess I left behind, just like Luke and company left the sail barge and everyone aboard in flames.
1:25 when this comes on in XWing vs TIE yeaaaaahhhh (not even shooting anything just makes you feel like a bad ass) Oh and 5:26 XWing Alliance titles 😍 RIP Dad and Galin
1:00 Dawn of the upcoming attack 1:20 Getting closer... 1:26 A-10 Thunderbolts, AH-64D Apache Longbows, AH-1 Cobras and M1A2 Abrams come in the nick of time.

But R2 throwned his friend 3PO off the Sell Barga & Luke , Han , Leia , Chewie , Lando , R2 & 3PO Escaped the Scarlicc Pit/The pit of Carkoon on Tattooine in Return of the Jedi.
It makes me laugh to tell myself that bib fortuna and max rebo are logically running away from the barge at this time. If we take into account the Disney Star Wars series. I would also like to remind you that bossk is in the barge xD
