the first Millennium Falcon I had was from a dumpster and when I wrote to Kenner they gave me the parts I needed to make it complete it was amazing. I only knew that after a yard sale when someone was selling a star wars ship and my mom was saying no, it doesn't have parts and the woman said, if you write to Kenner they will send them and they did. Talk about being dumb, I didn't know what to call the parts so I drew them to show where they should be on the Falcon. And they sent them all.

I wanted this toy so much as a kid but never had it. Then I saw the 2010 version and managed to buy it. I could not be happier. 2.5 feet of pure art.

Got mine for Christmas of 1983 and I still have it. It is in excellent condition, just needs new stickers, which I ordered of off eBay. Has all the original pieces, even the little training ball on the string!

One of the best Christmas presents I ever got, the Falcon was a cool vehicle/playset and I spent many an hour playing with it. I still have it to this day, though it’s seen better days. But it’s still awesome to look at, my five year old nephew plays with it now. Thanks for the review but I would’ve given it 5 stars.

All these years, and I never knew there was a training remote that was supposed to be at the end of that lever. My parents put mine together after I went to bed on Christmas Eve to be complete and under the tree on Christmas morning, so I didn't see the Falcon's instructions or box. I suspect they didn't want to risk my little brother swallowing it, and just threw the training remote away.

i have the bmf and the 2004 mf the bmf is way too big even for me to handle you are spot on about the size being perfect guess thats why the force awakens mf is the same size as the vintage kenner.

o figures included I think, that's why Kenner always said 'Figures Sold Separately'~ ;)

I would score the Millennium Falcon 5 out of 5. It was a perfect design, especially for 1979. Subsequent versions could only dream of living up to the original.
@garym6315

Its maybe just the brittle and easily broken ramp struts and ramp hinge that brought the score down. If they had made them a bit more durable then I'd agree on 5 out of 5.

I totally agree that the falcon should’ve been upgraded during the line’s run. For ESB, for sure the rescue hatch should’ve been added. Although, they also should’ve replaced it’s silly battle alert motor with the rapid-fire blaster motor from the Rebel Armor Snow Speeder. That way the falcon would’ve been a fully realized vehicle for ESB and wouldn’t need any upgrades by the time of ROTJ.

The Millennium Falcon was one of several Star Wars toy I really wish I had, along with the Imperial Troop Transporter & Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer (which I hope you'll do a review on each soon). In regards to scale, even Hasbro's G. I. Joe USS Flagg aircraft carrier playset wasn't really up to scale to the 3 3/4" Joe figures. Wikipedia.Org noted that a real to scale USS Flagg would've measured 66 feet long and 13 feet wide!

I have the 2004 OTC version of the same toy, with improved sounds and a working hyperdrive replacing the stickers from the vintage one. I think that was the last time Hasbro reused the same mold, the next one would be a bigger mold for The Legacy Collection with more stuff, but even with that, I still prefer the vintage mold for its more friendly playability and size.

I think it is superior to the ´77 Version, especially when it comes to light and sounds. I´m happy to own both versions. But the og version has more charme to me

When I was a kid I took mine apart so I could make more room for the figures. I made a door and cut open the blue plastic leaving only the seats for Han and Chewy, I was pretty cool. Kenner should of made them that way from the start

A ship designed to look like a hamburger!! That's great. You'd think they would have a showed how access would be gained to the cockpit. That's another star wars mystery.. .I did a review of the millenium Falcon on my channel too.

Did it really need a spring loaded radar dish? Because every one of these toys that I ever saw as a kid had the radar dish broken off, which I always figured was why they broke it off in Return of the Jedi......as a bit of a joke.
