Forget her appearances (even though they are not mentioned in this thread, but other comments seemed to be critical; which really doesn't matter), she flat out lied and wasn't direct with the courts and probably cost the case for Treyvon Martin... Neither side is technically innocent when the Dispatcher was clearly telling Zimmerman to back off, when he wouldn't. This lengthy courtroom case could've been avoided, had he simply backed off, documented Martin as a trespasser, and left the rest alone. I guarantee that nobody is going to commit to criminal acts when they're being watched, and that was the job that Zimmerman was suppose to be fulfilling; but we have this case, Martin dead as a result of assaulting Zimmerman, and finally Zimmerman a couple hundred thousand dollars richer because he sold the handgun that killed Martin for that price at an auction. Zimmerman would continue to be an a**hole in society, and I wouldn't lose any sleep if someone wacked him tomorrow...

You have to be joking. Zimmerman was asked by the neighbors to watch out for criminal activity. One woman even had her back door broke down, she ran up stairs with her son, looked out the window and saw 3 black young men running away from her home. People were scared. and rightfuly scared. Zimmerman DID NOT start anything, he was doing what the neighbors asked him to do.

Hey come on there are some good people that need section 8 housing for example someones home is destroyed but damage was not covered by insurance or loosing a husband or wife n need to move into section 8 housing till they get back on their feet. "went after her credibility" is a reasonable shorthand for the actions you describe. The video shows the lawyer doing a good job of it. I don't think CNN attempted to justify anything the witness did here. She is not shown in a complimentary light to my eyes.
That's one reason right there why it's being stirred up. They don't want racism to die. Yes it is a distraction, think about politics lately, whenever one guy brings up something really important; all people do is call him racist for not agreeing with the guy that's doing a poor job. Doesn't matter what she says. Phone records show Trayvon was on phone 5 minutes before the fight. We forgot that Zimmerman claimed Trayvon jumped out of some bushes. There are no obvious bushes in the crime scene for Trayvon to jump out from plus he was on the phone with Rachel. So he is on the phone waiting for Zimmerman? Really. Zimmerman needs to go to jail.

No you are not wrong. Trayvon had the same right to defend himself as did Zimmerman, the difference of course is Trayvon wasn't doing anything wrong and he was be stalked by a stranger. The initiation of this confrontation even if Trayvon threw the first punch was Zimmerman period! The only problem with this case is the 2nd degree murder charges. It should have been an involuntary murder charge. Zimmerman being an asshole caused the death of an innocent human being.
Her testimony isn't credible because she has shown that she will lie if it is convenient for her, such as about the funeral. Trayvon was her friend, and Zimmerman was not. Of course it's going to be convenient for her, at least psychologically, to not call Trayvon an attacker. Her being a liar puts very reasonable doubt into her account.
A 17 year old is not a child. That's basically an adult. There's not some magic transformation that happens when you turn 18. You're the same 17 year old, just older on paper. And as far as unarmed goes, let's say this - Mike Tyson is beating your face in. Would you give a damn if he was unarmed and you had a gun? Yes, it's an exaggeration, but "unarmed" doesn't mean a thing in a lot of cases.
