Walking the Dales isn't as rammed as the Lakes, thanks to Wainwright not describing them all in exquisite detail. The walking here is a match for anything in the world, easily equal to the Lakes (or better due to the relative lack of sweaty bodies). 'Cept Malham which has the sweaty bodies in spades.
