I would heavily recommend doing deep underground on the moons and get the liquid pools of fuel. Just keep going under there until the purple thing gets close enough then beam up to the ship before it gets you. You can then repeat the process over and over. The purple thing will go back to being slow on each revisit.
I see that that "broken feature" where you can cheaply use flags as long-distance teleport markers instead of actual teleporters is still present. Anyways, I have an additional tip: play the game zoomed as far out as possible. Enemies with ranged attacks, including quite a few bosses, have a long sight range, so they can shoot at you from well off-screen if you're playing on close-up zoom levels.
@@jamesh7876 Tips for what specifically? As for not being able to find new videos, it's probably because the game hasn't had a major content-adding update since the Bounty Hunting update had come by over half a decade ago (not that that should detract from enjoying the game yourself, like with far older classics like Doom, Starcraft, Master of Orion, Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Minecraft, or Terraria to name a few). I'd imagine that some of the tips found in the older videos about Starbound would still be relevant today.

Nice vid man. I new about most of the things you were talking about, but I wanted to see if I could learn anything new. Lo and behold you said you could kill the the ghost on the moon. I didn't think you could kill them. 10/10 would watch again :D
I found that the starter planets all have a mine you can come across its on every starter planet every time I have played that has the 20 shards but I would recommend digging deep and farming gathering as much as you can that's available doing so on every planet you go to with new materials it will save time in the long run.
I just recently started the game, and I was wondering if you should keep your main planet (starter planet) that you start on, or could you make bases/houses on different planets? Also... You should bookmark your starting planet, because once you venture off into different galaxies, it might be very hard to find your starting planet again.
If you make a teleporter or use a flag you can always get back to the starter planet just not the solar system. If you bookmark it you will always know the coordinates of the system, and can take you ship back. Generally making a base on the starter planet is not a bad idea because the mobs there are not too bad and can be dealt with relatively easily. So making a temporary base for storage and a home other than the ship is not a bad idea. Remember you can always move when you find a nice place to build and have enough resources to do so.
You can also go to a moon and just dig down, after a while, you start to see erchius fuel in liquid form. You can just mine tons and tons of it and you have yourself fuel!

+Amir yup I do all the time and find that a ton of info is inaccurate. Problem is game has been in development for so long it's gonna take a while for the wiki to get fully updated. But yes even though that is the case I totally agree. Wiki is super handy.

Haha I actually found it in Game today. @6:59 You have your Chest and Crates on what looks like a Shelf. I just didn't know how to craft the Shelf but now I do. Now I have more Free Room on my ship. Good video. Left thumbs up. Thanks!
+0neChubbyBunny ghost is not gone and the tip on him in this video has been patched out. You can not harm it.the trick is to mine what you need then go back to ship drop off fuel. When you come back it will be gone till you mine fuel again. Or you can watch my latest video that shows how to get infinite fuel.
ChubbyBunny, what you should do is get the ability to mine liquid upgraded on your matter manipulator, dig down into a moon until you find a big reservoir of liquid erchius fuel (since the ghost will not start chasing you until you have at least one liquid fuel or crystal on you), and then suck it all up. It's easy to gather 500+ fuel in less than a minute if you do that.
+Voidlord1 zoom 3 and resolution is a 1080p ratio not sure exactly what it is atm. I'd have to look. But all my videos/games are at some aspect of 1080p.
"health drain" will start when you get contact with the ghost but you can see a little purple swirl came out from you. that simulate like a life were suck out of you
+Mariosam100 you have to get crew members by doing quests or yoh can buy the upgrades from a guy at the outpost. You can also hire penguins. I plan on doing a video for this at some point.

Its easy. You have too find floran structures and look around with your scanner, the scanner will highlight objects in diffrent colours. Brown-Already Scanned, Blue-Not Scanned and Green-Not Scanned+For quest. So you just have too find floran stuff and scan them. It can take a while and dont expect too finish it after one colony. Just explore some jungle planets and scan as you go.
