The AI narration was excellent, which surprised me. It also gave the reading a 'graphic audio' feel with multiple AI-voices and accents used. The pacing was natural and the inflections were spot-on. I am curious how much time it took for you to produce this compared to reading it yourself. I actually had to rewind twice during Chapter 7 because i lost track of the story as I was amazed at all the different actors and voices. It was like old-time radio or a BBC Radio broadcast. Brilliant work, thank you!

Many thanks for the awesome feedback. So glad you enjoyed the book. I would say that to do the AI narration takes me about 1/3 of the time it takes to record and edit myself. I think as I become more adept and familiar with the software (I have an account with Play.ht) I will get faster. I was very impressed with the quality and range of voices too. Although sometimes I couldn't get the intonation I would have used myself, I could usually generate something that also worked. Looking forward to making the next book.

@@Brandon-b6n Not at the moment, sorry. I'm currently working on a new series that's a spinoff from Star Legend. I imagine that's going to keep me occupied for the next year or two. I felt with Shadows of the Void that I'd brought the series to a natural conclusion with the end of the Shadow War. Starting it up again would feel forced.

@@Brandon-b6n | might at some time in the future, but I can't say when. My first series, Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer is also set in this universe but it's comedy sci-fi and many centuries earlier than Jas's story. There's only one character who crosses over, and that's Flux, Carl's alien pet.
