@@didia.t2455 she literally was arguing about the ice having calories and she was like "you're Starbucks i can't be sure" and i was like "madam the water has no calories" and she was like "you can never know" 🤣🤣🤣
I once asked a guy for his name when taking his drink order. He told me no. I said, “okay,” and proceeded to write no on the cup. He tipped me like three dollars for it.
EmmaJo Yoder oh god that is the worst. I sell produce at a local farmers market and when they just throw down the money on the table, among your veggies and stuff, it’s effing rude.
The only person I ever did this to way my ex girlfriend when we were fighting. She worked at a gas station and I needed my drink so I threw my money at her and walked out so I wouldn’t have to deal with the bs.
When I worked at Burger King, people would sometimes dodge my hand. I'd hold it out to accept their money, and maybe they were germophobes, but they would purposely go under or around my hand.
The big daddy thing reminded me My friend works at Starbucks and she had a guy have her put “Daddy” on the cup So she yelled “paternal figure” over and over again until the guy just slowly slumped over to his drink with his friend laughing at him because his prank didn’t work.
@@gwendalynn_alvarado these are barely above minimum wage workers, who constantly deal with grumpy people before their caffeine. Why don't you just get something simple that can't really get messed up, or make your own coffee?
When I saw these videos I learned that the baristas dont like making 'em. I felt sorry because I only order frapp because I have severe hyperacidity. Starbucks coffee is just too strong for me. So, on very rare occasions that I go to starbucks (like only once a year), I just order Matcha frapp.
I work at a hotel and we kept running out of coffee one morning since it was a really busy day. Dude goes " you don't need a phd to make coffee" Lord did i wanna go off on him but thinking back on it i feel sorry for people like this
I don't understand how some people sleep at night knowing they're so unnecessarily rude to baristas and retail workers. How do you have it in you to try and *PUNCH* a worker because your card got declined??! I don't understand
The way your profile fit soooo well with your comment is just- I mean, jimin rarely looks angry, and he's looking kinda angry or annoyed on your profile. And your comment is you getting angry over some ungrateful customers😂 Or is it Jimin looking down at those customers?🤔
While I agree with the jimin comment, I also want to add that people really need to understand that the employee doesn't decide whether or not your card gets declined. So why BLAME THEM MAN?????
I gotta say mostly every Barista I've come across at Starbucks has been really awesome. Some girls draw a smiley face on the cup if they see I'm having a rough day, and one even made me a drink anyway but I placed a mobile order at the wrong store. They are great.
people who place a mobile order to the wrong store make me want to throw myself off a cliff. I get if you do it once by accident but this one lady would do it every single day and then come through the drive-through to pick it up and it held up the whole line every time.
@@Genes_in_jeans Well mine was once and by accident because there were two locations whose street names were so closely related it was easy to mess up. Plus I didn't know the area well. But if that happened every day that's a personal problem. lmao
You could've ask nicely if the barista could do it again for you, you help him/her be better by telling their mistakes, not all customers are going to be as nice as you
Carrie as a barista, we aren’t perfect so if we accidentally gave you too much ice or you didn’t want whip cream, it’s okay to let us know! we want you to enjoy the drink
At my store, we decaf people that insult us. That’s the only time we’ll intentionally get a drink “wrong.” Also, be nice to new baristas that are figuring everything out. Thanks.
stormageddon darklordofall oh yeah I would never give someone who ordered decaf regular... no way am I going to be responsible for killing someone, BUT I will let their shots sit for like a minute or so
A lady at Starbucks slapped me and threw coffee ( it was cold coffee) on my clothes and said something like “ you arabs need to leave this country” and she sweared like 10 times
I agree people can stop treating others like trash, but unfortunately you're dealing with people who are awake when they don't want to be and/or are really dragging. You aren't exactly catching people at their best.
no, its not 'just coffee' sometimes. i've had it done to me and i know other people who have had it done to them, where they'll be given the wrong drink and its something theyre allergic to and when they try and say its the wrong drink and they need to make a new one, the barista gets rude and starts saying we're lying'
batnat I'm not saying this never happened but especially if you've specified that you're allergic to the drink and you need it remade it's highly unlikely a barista will deny remaking it and call you a liar, that's something we would literally get fired for... of course there will be rude baristas which is unfortunate but you also have to understand when there's a long lineup of like 16 lattes with a million edits to each one and you have people yelling at you asking for their drink some mistakes are bound to happen
Working at Starbucks and being a dude made it great to call out silly names like “big daddy” honestly I think it embarrassed them far more than it did me
When I was like 13 and really insecure with no friends, I went into a Starbucks and got a drink, and asked for an ice water. The girl I asked was so sweet and asked me how I was and if I was doing anything interesting that day. She really made me feel good about myself. Thanks Starbucks girl ❤️
I don't really think negativly about people and just mind my own business but once I noticed that I started internally insulting EVERY person that walked into Panera for the smallest thing I knew it was time for me to leave lmao
@@glassfireactual9207 😅😂 there was this one customer that made it her duty to come spread misery atleast once a week...I was seconds away from doing it, 13 years later & I still hate her. 😅
@AfriqueQueen Fr. And when I've been talking for 7 hours straight I'm not gonna waste the extra energy to ask again, when most of the time they talk the same volume anyway lol
One Starbucks Worker got my order wrong but I ended up liking it so now that's my go to lmao. Edit: I recommend it if you like Mocha fraps It's called Cookie crumble Mocha frap and if you don't want it with 3 shots of coffee then order it with just chocolate still tastes good. Edit 2: Wow 159 likes?
the mocha cookie crumble is the exact same thing as the java chip or the double chocolate chip if you don't want coffee. the only difference is that the mocha cookie crumble has whipped cream on the bottom and the cookie topping but it is a dollar more
One time I ordered a double chocolate chip frappe and I tasted caramel when I got it and I was literally just like Oh hey... caramel. That’s cool. And then I drank it. 😂
I worked at Starbucks for 4 years and had a lady throw an entire TRAY of drinks (fraps and HOT COFFEE) at me through the drive thru. And then said "oops it slipped" and drove off. Fml
My sis was at a starbucks an hour and a half before closing and asked for a frapp and they were like "No we stop making them right before closing". An hour and a half isn't RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING. Make the damn frapp!
I had this one crazy ass lady storm in one day while I was talking to my assistant manager and she starts shouting her order at us before I can even greet her. She orders a morning bun but I didn't hear her so she screams it at me again and asks if I'm deaf(which I partially am) and she orders a hot chocolate. Once she leaves the register she puts her coat down she goes up to my coworker and starts screaming and says "is my drink done yet"! literally moments after placing her order. To this day she is known to us as the morning bun lady
@@morganirbs2523 also forgot to mention not to worry about it. Starbucks is a good company to work for and most stores have a great work environment so don't stress yourself out worrying about it
To all y'all, there is a weird name distortion thing in the two feet of counter. My first day out of training my trainer and I swore this guy said his name was Bill and when it got to the hand-off we learned his name was Randy and we were all very confused. We try our bests and occasionally names stop making sense ahahahaha
i love playing a long with the name changes. One dude was Batman one time it was Fred Flinstones another one was Superman. just don’t be weird like big daddy lol bc I will just call out your drink.
I work at Starbucks and last week I had a woman walk up to the pickup counter and started yelling “LATTE” at the barista making the drinks... so I walked down and told her “oh you actually order the drinks down at the till, it’s just down here *gestures towards till* I’ll meet you there” and so she proceeded to yell at me “LATTEEEEE” so I just walked to the till and she follows screaming latte. “Ok so a latte, what size can I get you?” “LATTE” “Yes a latte, okay what size” *proceeds to spell it at me* “L.A.T.T.E.!!!!! Are you DEAF?!?!” “I understand you want a latte ma’am, what size?!” *points at all the cups” “I JUST WANT A F***ing LATTE ARE YOU THICK?!” “Alright one Grande Latte to go, that’ll be £3.00” “I DONT WANT A GRANDE THATLL BE TO BIg!!! GIVE ME A MEDIUM!” *still holding the same cup..* “OKAY one MEDIUM latte, that’ll be £3.00” *end*
I love that she asked if you were thick! Like thick skulled right? 😂 and I’m over here like yes, yes we all are and it’s because of customers like you🤗
@@josefsteiner9163 Well ur rude aren't u? Starbucks is really popular and have a lot of customers, they don't have time to correct ur name just cuz ur picky. Baristas have more (and better) things to worry about, than a name of a prick (aka u). They have other customers, and also if u threw something at them they could sue and ban u from Starbucks, so I would think twice if I were u. :))
@@mely4700 "let me tell you about our #1 best drink! Its strong, and full bodied. There is nothing diluting its flavor or impeding the caffeine transfer to your blood stream...its called 'black coffee'."
Lol, this reminds me when I was a barista. I thought this guy said his name was Aryan, but apparently it was Orion... and he was absurdly mad about it. When I can't hear your name because you're mumbling, I'm not going to assume your name is a constellation.
Genevieve Hernandez i already am a barista, at a hospital. But my boss is inappropriate and is toxic. Plus the pay is better I get paid $13.86 now $14.5 and hour
I make coffees at volunteer places for office workers in a school I give all you guys props for working at starbuck or even some other coffee places my anxiety would cause me to have a panic attack probably multiple times a day I love making coffees but you guys are amazing
I love the barista at my Starbucks! She’s super sweet and always gives me free drinks. I used to study there all. the. time. They opened from 4:30 am to midnight and during finals month I was there almost all day everyday. Once this creepy guy came in and sat in front of me and tried talking to me. I was new to that and was just shyly responding but super uncomfortable. The entire store was empty of customers and it was just me and him. And he leaned close to me asking me for my number. I was frozen and she came up at the side and mouthed to me “Are you okay?” And I quickly shook my head no. She came and kicked him out. I was so thankful to this day I owe her a solid favor. Shout out to Sara!
I once went into a Starbucks and ordered a Grande drink, bagel and cake pop, I literally didn’t have enough cash so I *LITERALLY* *dumped* my wallet into my hands an sloppily drobbled it into the barista’s i still didn’t have enough money so the barista let me not pay in full. Has this ever happened to anyone else? 😂
The big daddy comment had me dying cause I got the same thing when I used to work at starbucks. I screamed it out so loud and confidently the guy was super embarrassed to come get it 😂
I knew a Starbucks employee who told me he liked giving decaf to all the customers he hated, he told me he gave it to them with the greatest smile. Lol!!
‘everyone’s doing their best, give them some slack’ lol i told someone my name is daniel, they asked for the spelling, and the name on the cup was spelled E A N I O L
I was working the window at the time but I heard the barista say, "Spartacus, your grande mocha is ready." I look over and see this tall teenage boy walk up to the bar with his arms swinging wide, puff his chest out, and in a deep dramatic voice says, "I'M SPARTACUS!" Years later it still makes me chuckle.
True story. It was Frappuccino Happy Hour, and a line of young teenage girls ordered Frappuccinos. The movie "Hunger Games' just came out. Everyone's name was "Primrose Everdeen' and all of them would respond "I volunteer as Tribute'. Now, i had no idea what Hunger Games was and I was so speechless everytime I called it out. As for writing the names on purpose, I'm famous for writing "Uh, Sheila" or "Just Dan". On my earlier years (been a barista for 8) I would hear "No Name" all the time lol and legit would write it.
If I ever work at starbuck and someone wants 'A special item' I'll just give them the easiest thing for me to make or give them a experimental drink if i wanted to play with flavours
I had this husband and wife come in every morning I was training and he would want a doppio esspresso over ice and that’s like 1.75 and he would want the MORE expensive version which is an iced double shot and I would try to make it cheaper AND HE WOULD GET MAD
Never have I ever scribbled out the safety warning on the cups to write out "You are extremely hot" (Only true Starbucks employees would know whats up 😂)
Erin Johnson that happened to me all the time!!! There was this one time where a lady made me put like 4 espresso shots in her tall latte and she still thought it tasted like milk
As a current barista, I can say I love these episodes showing what some of us go through. I've been there less than a year and people can be so rude it's ridiculous. Over coffee.
