Starcraft II Legacy of The Void Campaign Terran Edition created by Synergy where we play as Terrans instead of the Protoss, Mission 1 - For Aiur! on the Hard difficulty level. Compared to the Wings of Liberty where newcomers had several missions to get used to, Legacy of the Void was more difficult since the beginning, in this mission we begin a reclamation of Aiur from the Zerg. But because we play a Terran edition of this classic Protoss campaign, we use Marines with Medics and Marauders (together with Siege Tanks later) instead of Zealots, Immortals and Stalkers as in the original. Remember that Terran infantry cannot regenerate shields like Protoss units so we have powerful Medics to back them up, we also have War Pigs and Hammer Securities mercenaries to increase survivability of our units. While we cannot build in this mission, our only reinforcements come from Drop Pods in several beacons, you can also rescue some Terran isolated units on the map, but you can't find anymore Hammer Secs and Siege Tanks. The mission is straightforward, your objectives are to destroy all the Zerg Hive clusters (4 of them as the Bonus objective) and clear all of 3 Warp Conduits on the map, of course the longer you play the mission is harder. Your enemies include pretty much all of the Zerg units up to annoying Ultralisks and even the unbuildable Guardians from Starcraft 1, but thankfully both of the mentioned units are rare and Guardians alone do not do much. It is crucial for you to stim your Marines/War Pigs whenever going to attack, add to this mix bulky Hammer Secs and deployed Siege Tanks, most of the incoming Zergs will be obliterated, but do not overstim your units too much. Same with losing Medics to the Zerg or friendly fire from Siege Breakers (it is a popular urban legend/myth that most of the Marine casualties are from Siege Tank's artillery fire), without medics this mission is way more difficult. There are three annoying surprises coming at you, all of them when mission is about to end - first, there is this energetic bridge, really small and narrow for your units, when you cross it - tons of Zergs will attack you, even Ultras. When you are about to reach last Warp Conduit, it is crucial to destroy these Nydus Warms as fast as possible because they release neverending stream of units, so bombard these with everything as fast as possible to avoid being flooded.
