Funny. "Mengks squandered millions trying to track down Raynor". Tycus just like, y'all way over thinking this one *goes to 'the Bar'* - “Little Jimmy Raynor” ...
When I first saw wings of liberty come out, I remember being so struck with awe over the cinematics, I had never in my life seen models so crisp and clean like that! I was used to starcraft 1's pixelart and playstation 1/2 polygonal games, like tak and the great juju challenge, or crash tag team racing. I was almost certain that these were real life actors at the time! Of course, nowadays, I can see the artifacting, the corners, etc. My eye's are adjusted to it. But at the time, this blew my mind!
Because us Southerners are the most badass, and so are our accents. Y’all wouldn’t really want to hear Raynor or Tychus talking with a Bawston or New Yawk accent, wouldja? Nobody would take them seriously.
How come raynor in the next scene doesn't have his head in his hands "Why did i drink half a bottle of whisky it's 10 am my head's spinning i wanna puke"
@Spazzosity actually if you watch more of the cinematics, in one of them raynor says how he knows tychus from along way back and how they used to get into trouble together. which is why they seem so familiar, and why tychus calls him "old buddy" several times. and why at the end they are both like "yep, old times". its doesnt go into anymore detail then that though.
well....... in the game this is the first they meet. But in the BOOK which i read and yes im a nerd, they where both part of there own task force and worked together for a long time ever sense they first joined the millitary.
Raynor is a traumatized war veteran fighting a (at that point) hopeless rebellion against the Terran Dominion all with the shadow of the Zerg Swarm hanging over his head, it's no surprise he does so much drinking
Since when have the Protoss been able to revive the dead, let alone dead Terrans? The closest we have are the Purifiers, and we have no idea if that works on Terrans. It wouldn't even be the same Tychus anyway, just a copy made from his memories (and we don't even know how far he would remember).
Don't get me wrong, Tychus was one of the characters I instantly loved when he appeared, but part of that is because he was the tragic hero who stayed true to his friendship with Raynor. In the end you can catch several hints like him selecting semi not burst for his rifle, his face, his voice, that he did not want to betray Jimmy but knew he was a dead man either way. He made it so that he WILL die but not by Mensk. He will die by Jim's hand but also remove himself as a threat to what Jim truly wanted, bring back Kerrigan. Him being dead is what makes this sacrifice meaningful.
If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be traveling on, now Cause there's too many places I've got to see But, if I stayed here with you, girl Things just couldn't be the same
