darkdill Lurkers still eat marines like a fat kid eats skittles. I'm totally baffled by these choices of strategy. I did love this final because Snute and Polt are two of the first SC players I ever got interested in, but I do not understand Snute's inflexible builds. I am the one in silver league, so I should keep my criticism down, but I would love someone to defend his choices and at least give me some way to understand. As an aside: here's a Snute fanboy moment: He is a really nice and smart person outside the game, he likes to think and analyze and I think he is an awesome part-time addition to some of the SC casting/analysis tables. AND his real name is Jens Waller Aasgaard. pretty much the most boss name in history.

+Carlos Condit Champion in 2016 to be fair, snute was barely hanging in there against polts aggression in most of these games. If he had tried to go for hive, he would probably just have died even earlier.

Polt is great.. he makes starcraft interesting to watch.. He uses terran with such skill to over come the advantages the other races have over him.. Corrosive biles, fungals, unstoppable ultralisks.. and he overcomes it with his amazing multi-tasking, smart builds, army splits.. knowing when to attack and retreat.. hes the most interesting guy to watch.

+darkdill i think specifically against polt, they are not mobile enough. If there are lurkers at the 3rd, polt will just kill the main. as a terran, it is pretty easy to not never fight the lurkers. also you cant push into tanks with lurkers, they get outranged and 1 scan is enough to clean them all up.

Very happy to see Polt win, he's my fave SC2 player. Awesome tournament with an awesome finals. Big GG going out to Snute, he's crazy good and this won't be the last we see of him. Nate + Rotti = G.o.a.T Commentary. WoW sucks, Legion is going to be horrible. Week old piss > Holinka. Peace homies.

Polt is tough player but he play in the same strategy. He more likely playing bio and he is good in workers harassment. To overcome him need late game and try to survive at the early game.

+Matthew Nason cs is harder to keep track of imo. Up to 10 separate players doing their individual things. Obs often miss kill shots. On the other hand, starcraft is normally just main army and a side army. If only you can zoom out a bit more, casters/audience would be able to look at whole engagements nearly every time.

It is the beauty of SC2. Keeping track of a lot of things at the same time. Watching the match replay is the best way to see everything. If you like watching strategies in large scales, keeping track of mutiple assaults, SC2 is where it's at. I do watch some CS too though. Lightning reflexes is still amazing.

+Eirik Skogen Banelings are legit, but too expensive of an addition when you're going for the roach ravager composition. There's several successful uses of banelings vs terran in LotV, but they are played mainly with muta-ling, which has been nerfed pretty hard in ZvT due to the addition of the Liberator. Mutas doesn't have the same impact, which is probably why Snute goes for this style instead. Rip

WCS used to be a great thing. WIth qualifiers aired live, ESL Used to put em up. Currently, I find little interesst in this format, and I dont even finnish watching this. Pre-game chatter, seemed like a desperate attempt at hyping something worth less then words spoken. I don't know what went on leading up to Katowice, but snute vs polt is bah at best. Life would've eaten snute alive 4-0 in 15 min tops. Koreans live SC, rest of the world has it as a hobby

+Earauka Valion You can oversimplify any activity like that to make it sound dumb. "Guys running after a ball to put it in a certain place", "people spreading some colors on cloth". What's enjoyable here isn't the action of hitting the keys, it's watching the whole thought process behind it and the dexterity of the execution. If you feel like there is no strategy behind this, I'll infer that you're not familiar with the game. Hence my curiosity as to why you would come spit your hate about it?
