StarCraft 2: The ZERG's Command Center! (Viewer Game) 

This was so wholesome. Red got rushed and wasn't even mad about it, he just kept playing and doing his thing, even laughed with amusement when Blue stole his worker and built a command center. Then after somehow losing a game he never should have lost, Blue congratulates his opponent with a gg.

The questions: - the supply is max 200, no matter which race the units. - only zerg structures can be placed on creep. Doesn't matter who owns the structures. - Nukes are stored in the ghost academy. This means that if you lose an academy that if you have 2 academies and one of the made a nuke. If the one that made the nuke gets destroyed, the nuke does too. - all mining units (SCV, probe, drone) can mine gas as long as there's a structure on top of it. Race of the structure doesn't matter, it just needs to be yours. Same goes for returning resources: any base as long as it's yours.

I really appreciate how Blizzard *could* have disabled workers' ability to build cross-race bases using Neural Parasite. But no, it's possible, just an absolute impractical pain in the ass to pull off. 👏‍

It's so wholesome to see two people actually enjoying Starcraft.

It's like that meme with walking straight and taking a rake to the face, versus doing super cool acrobatics with that rake and then taking it to the face at the very end.

I think it's 8 neurals to build a cc. Neural lasts 10 seconds and cc build time is 71 seconds (+ distance/human delay on commanding) PS you can't land on creep and share supply Also, drones can mine from refineries and vice versa

To my knowledge, Starcraft had 2 missions where you used two different races. The first was when you were directly attacking the Overmind in the last Protoss mission of the original campaign, and the second was when you needed to get one of the two crystals needed to activate the xel'naga temple

If I'm remembering right in SC1: Brood War if you took both races builders as Protoss with a Dark Archon, you get 3 full supply cap limits

I just checked it out, ur terran structures wont be allowed to land / build on ur own creep but refineries/extracters allow any type of worker, also ur hatchery/cc will accept resources from any type of worker

Any worker under the same player can mine any refinery type and return to the same player controlled hatchery/nexus/commander center. "I don't see race, I only see team color."

Back in Starcraft Broodwar you had separate supply for each race (so a protoss Dark Archon could mind control a terran or zerg worker and potentially get up to 400 supply), but in SC2 you share supply. In both games, you can use workers of any race to mine from gas structures/ to return minerals to a CC/Nexus/Hatchery, as long as they are owned by the same player, and only zerg racial structures can be built on creep (in Broodwar, only the infested command center could be landed on creep).

Haven’t seen anyone mention this - “WhoIsV” could easily be a reference to V for Vendetta. V is the main… antagonist? who hides their identity behind the Anonymous Guy Fawkes mask.

34:04 If you build the refinery first nothing is stopping any worker unit from bringing gas back to the hatchery. But if you have creep on the geyser it will block you from building a refinery there.

Can you kidnap a probe? You take a dropperlord with a infestor, drop infestor, take probe, load it into dropperlord, bring it home. Kidnapped worker. Build nexus at home. This isnt even very unrealistic to do this maneuver. Sounds pretty easy doable.

btw just to clear this up, if in a case like this Zerg parasites a worker of a different race, builds that race's base, then builds more workers and builds Refineries and/or Assimilators, all your workers (drones, probes, SCVs) can both gather gas at any of your extractors/assimilators/refineries as well as return resources to any of your bases (Nexus, CC, Hatchery), in fact they will in all respects behave like your own workers (which they are). You can even end up with a combo of all 3 races. The supply cap obviously stays at 200, since this is all your army now. The good thing is that SCVs can repair all your mechanical Protoss units and Medivacs can heal all bio units, including all Zergs, but overall this isn't particularly efficient and, most of all, if you are in the situation that you actually can pull that off, it should already be a gg anyway.

And this is why we love viewer games.. absolute banger :D

Omg, i love this and im so fascinated by the hybrid zergs with infestor plays , like maybe everyone will say that is not even viable in a rank game or stuff but its so amazing that its possible in the game to play zerg while also getting the tech of the other 2 enemy races for permanent time in you're favor lol The video with zerg mothership viewer submited game was my fav and wached it 8 times

Oh, I love this. It's like how in Broodwar you can build a Dark Archon and mind control an SCV or drone to create a combined Protoss-Terran or Protoss-Zerg army. Don't think I've ever seen that though. But this was cool for sure. EDIT: No, you don't get 200 supply per race in SC2 but you do in SC1. So in other words, in SC2 the races share the 200 supply while in SC1 the races have 200 supply each. In fact, there is a multiplayer option in SC1 where you start with a worker from all races allowing you to create an up to 600 supply army. Sadly, this option doesn't exist in SC2.

In Warcraft 3 the undead have the banshee and it can control a worker and build the builds of other races, but you don't get another food/supply bar, the other race units add to your current supply.

So in SC and SC:BW you could mind control and build a hatchery and/or command center to build the other races with their own supply total. In WC3 the missions that gave you multiple races gave you control of an extra player. SC2 shares population.

In the original, Supply was only for Terrans. Protoss had psi and Zerg had control. All the same concept, all limited to 200, but mind control could allow you to get a 600/600 army.

This reminds me of a game i had in starcraft broodwar where I got creamed but had a ton of cash left, flew away and built supply depots and engineering bays all over the map flying around and my opponent got so pissed that he couldn't find all my buildings that he ragequit. Think I ended with one Engineering bay and no units. Big game hunters, top right corner was unobservable by ground units, it was also my original base so the last place anyone would look. 11:39 Did that strat in team games in SCBW when I played Protoss, dark archon mind control a buddys SCV and Drone, build everything...took forever though. In Starcraft Broodwar each race had their own separate supply pool, unlike in SC2 where it's shared.

It would be so damn funny if in a Z v P pro game that the Zerg neurals a probe and makes their own nexus, then goes on to build a giant Zerg + Protoss army. There is honestly unlimited potential with an army like that too, considering troops are balanced to counter eachother means that having comps of two races could probably break the game.

In Brood War, you can indeed have a 600 supply army if you can mind control a drone and an SCV in, say a 2v2 or a 3-player free-for-all. Definitely not a pro thing to do, but definitely a thing in LAN parties lol

I half expected that lone corruptor to go caustic spray down a building all by itself. I’m also surprised we didn’t see like mass hydra/medivac. That seems like it might actually be good.

Starcraft 1 with dark templar, you could build multiple races of armies by taking a worker and it would get it's own supply amount.

This game had to be between like 2 brothers where the older brother cheesed the younger one, then felt bad and eventually let them win.

Yes. Drones can mine from refinery and can return cargo to command center. They also get a vespene canister from refinery instead of vespene lump they get from extractor or vespene block if they mine from assimilator. The vespene block looks cool with mecha Zerg skin. If scv or probe mine from extractor they also get vespene lump.

Thank you very much for the slog weird viewer game. I'm a bit sad that the blue player didnt got to make Thors :/ but in the end we get what we were given and I cant complain that the red player let that one command center to finish. So kudos to these two strangers.

In Starcraft 1, when using a Dark Archon to mind control a worker, you get 200 supply for that race as well IIRC

In StarCraft 1, protoss could mind control opponents probe, scv, or drone and get up to 400 protoss, 200 Terran, and 200 zerg supply, but the workers from 1 race couldn't go into bases of the other races.

I remember playing around on original Starcraft, with the red Archon you can permanently take over enemy suvs and drones, and you were able to ultimately have 200 supply each of protoss, terran, and zerg.

It is 7 if you are fairly effficient with neural parasite (61 seconds to build a CC).

Liberators do in fact do air splash damage... so a few liberators vs someone that's not magic boxing mutalisks should annhilate them. Vikings won't work but people always seem to forget that Liberators have air splash.

You can have 200 supply, 200 psi and 200 control. You call them all supply, but they are actually different things.

I know in 4v4 games you can mine from other races/team players gas extractors if they have left the game. I also "steal" the Terran add-ons when they try to rush and fly the barracks away. I will build or fly my barracks onto the reactor add-on and claim it as my own!
