No guys, it is a misstranslation. Maru never said: "Next time I'll face Serral I let my little sister play. She'll give Serral a better fight than I do."
The Serral vs Maru debate about the GOAT is a joke at this point. Maru is not even in the same realm as Serral which is currently playing with a race that has been nerfed to the ground, and has everyone else struggle to even compete, while he continues to destroy everyone even while not being able to train properly as he is doing his military service. And for those that have not gone to the army (either kids or people from countries with no mandatory service), it is an extreme experience in most cases that changes most of your life while there, and impacts a lot of aspects even after for months. Serral is nowhere near his peak right now (it is impossible while in the army and for a few months after it), and he still crushed Maru once again like he was playing against a low tier player (which he is when compared to the undisputed GOAT).

Just as an FYI, after basic training you do eventually get time to yourself. It can go from several hours to weekend, but they're not just chained down to the camp. Obviously having the entire week to practice > couple of hours is a death sentence to most professional players....but I guess Serral really is just built absolutely differently.
You should introduce some dead space at the end of videos whose length are spoilers. Like by the last game I know how it's going to go because the person losing the series can't win four games in ten minutes. Then at the beginning of the video you can say you may or may not have dead space at the end.
im new to star craft played my first game this last month and seeing the early control on the drones vs the reaper was insane thats so hard to do and he made it look like a cake walk
Most boring final ever, I don't even know why Maru loses to Serral like this recently... Seems to me like Serral knows Maru's playstyle very well and Maru sees Serral for the 1st time. Back when INnoVation was playing, he always had tricks up his sleeve vs Serral and even tho maybe Serral was winning slightly more often than INno, still INno had builds ready for Serral which they indeed worked, one coming to mind, the double factory blue-flame hellbats push.
After winning the previous match in an interview they asked how Serral feels about match against Maru, and Serral said basically, that he hopes Maru can put up a real fight against him this time. If I remember correctly Serral beat Maru in similar way in Katowice.
Yeah, it was another easy 4-0. I was expecting Maru to take at least a single map this time. Serral may not be affected by Zerg being nerfed to the ground right now, but he still can't train properly while doing his mandatory military service, and military is harsh regardless of the country.
damn it is impressive how Serral makes even someone as good as Maru look bad. The calculated approach he has is far less funny then dark, but it feels like what darks style ultimately would evolve into controlled chaos were you pop a Nydus just to mess with your opponent for that second to snipe a tank and follow it up with an infestation just to crush the moral. damn
Serral went to the military and got better. I guess learning how humans fight wars transfers well in how zerg win wars. Been watching a lot of your videos of zerg struggling but Serral makes it look easy.
