If you pay attention, Tychus tries his hardest to make sure Raynor kills Kerrigan. In the conversation when they talk over the artifact, Tychus keeps telling Kerrigan needs to die, he mentions that she doesn't deserve a second chance and stuff like that. And before they go to Char, he tries to convince Jim not to go. I think he was trying to avoid having to betray him.
Thank you for playing and recording this game. I've watched your gameplay from part 1 to this ending, and I must say you are a very good player. I appreciate all the hard work you put into this. I just wish you get a million subs. I mean come on, you deserve it.
i would like to clarify he is not a good player and would lose on brutal or even hard difficulty. Obviously that's fine and I mean no disrespect but he's not very good in this playthrough atleast, technically
I felt Tycus didn't really have a choice, Mengsk got the death trigger button on Tycus suit. Tycus did say "damm shame", which to me shows he kind of regrets it when he ended his friendship with Raynor. Tycus is someone who doesn't show much emotion I find.
I enjoyed it. The story was great and the missions were varied and fun. I liked how they introduce you to a new unit for each mission, which teaches you about the new unit and its purpose. It's kind of to distract her so she won't kill my marines and siege tanks instantly. The battlecruisers got the most health, so its like a 'shield' for kerrigan's attacks. While kerrigan is busily trying to take down my battlecruisers, I can use my other units to take her down instead.
Cool ending. They kind of dropped the ball with Tycus though. They didn't exactly do much to hide the fact that he was going to double cross Jim, but they could have at least added some depth or remorse on the part of Tycus. Like when Jane betrays Mal in the Firefly series. He couldn't help it, accepts his fate but shows some regret when he thinks he's about to die. As for the mission, did you find it difficult or did you feel it could have been harder? Thanks for a *perfect* playthrough :)
Its a nice ending... but how do they get off of Char afterwards? Valerian probably assumed command of the remaining fleet and with tychus gone he'd just order his forces to shoot down whatever ship raynor and Kerrigan leave the atmosphere with, right? edit: wrong, some text on heart of the swarm's first mission's prolog explains it
Either it's just me but I must have hit the "hard" level button on accident cause I don't remember having that less amount of zerg the first time I did this level on "normal"
+MisterRandom2 I did, however, for the previous 2 missions before this last one, you had to pick which part of the zerg army you want taken out before competing the last mission. It was either preventing the zerg from having air units or the nydus worm. Only the first mission you pick will change what the zerg has in the last mission. I pick the air units, so the nydus mission doesn't change the final mission, unless you picked it first, but I just did the nydus mission to showcase it.
Okay nice play through but why didn't you use the alien thing for when Sarah showed up? Also surprised that throughout this arc that Jimmy didn't have anyone try to get that guy out of the death suit.
Its scale balancing. Battlecruisers are big enough to hold entire armies but for gameplay purposes, but obviously they can't be full-size or you'd never be able to see anything. Same with Kerrigan. You need to see her, so she's bigger (notice how in the opening scene she's about the same hight as a Lair)
The mission was interesting for a final mission, It wasn't that hard but it was pretty frantic, lots of managing, defending 2 entrances, nydus network poping up randomly, mass of overlords arriving from behind my base and kerrigan killing lots of my units. If I didn't take out the air units in the other mission, the mission was definitely going to be harder. I can only imagine the mission on hard and brutal difficulty.
+MisterRandom2 Unfortunately I won't be able to play/do a playthrough version of the 'air'' version of this level as I am unable to access it unless I re-do the entire campaign again. I also didn't create a save file before making the decision on the previous 2 levels that determines the mission style of this last mission. Sorry.
Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void and Nova Covert Ops are all separate campaigns expansions which you have to purchase in order to play them. If you have bought them, all 4 campaigns should be available on the campaign menu of the game.
I recommend the Starcraft 2 campaign collection which includes the 3 later campaigns (wings of Liberty is now free) and a few other things. You can purchase it on Blizzard's store called Battle.net.
+MisterRandom2 Heart of the Swarm is already completed if you haven't watched that yet. I actually haven't got legacy of the void yet. I am working on other games and waiting for lotv to get cheaper, I did the starcraft 2 playthroughs 2 years ago and haven't kept up with it.
